+TheGetawayer (Yes, the reason why we like TheGetawayer is that you still have these critical eyes.) These narrow seats, I think, are equipped on Cayenne, because a majority of Cayenne-drivers are females. And a ridiculous number of Cayennes are being sold in Asian countries like China and Korea. I imagine some Chinese soccer moms would have toothpick torsos. :)
+Bryce Lee Just to say I have seen quite a few big guys comfortably ensconced in these cars....and some have clearly had one or two extra frankfurters for lunch. I did pop a post in at the top and in defence of my Cayenne the 18 way sports adaptive seats are the most comfortable I have ever sat in. Terrifically supportive but not squeezing my toothpick torso (I wish) either. Agreed Guido's reviews are great and very informative! Best Steve
Porsche really pulled a fast one with the GTS. Here in Canada most of them on the used market are low optioned, relying heavily on looks for sales. I like the factory lowered stance on the GTS, but I don’t think paying a premium for a car that doesn’t have 18 way cooled seats is worth it, unless you’re only in it for the performance.
Great review Guido! Loved the intro and beautiful camera work as always! Lots of great insight into this new GTS. It's no V8 but I think it sounds really good too! Like you said though, I'm sure I'd pick the Macan over the Cayenne too, although I still need to drive a Macan! Excited to see what the other car is that you have this week!
TheGetawayer You're welcome! And yes, I have! It's one of my favorite seats. I'll admit I am skinny though. Smaller frame than you for sure. If you've sat on a Fiesta ST, that's another one I love (because it's one of the very few that have enough bolstering to actually hold me in place) and you'll probably find too tight.
The GTS trim is the perfect balance (cost, performance and the best looks). They're the best looking out of all trims, standard coming straight from the factory! Cost-wise they are not as ridiculous as a Turbo for sure but perform and sound better than a base or the S. This applies onto both my dream 911 and my own Cayenne GTS.
@@gordonm6128 yes they’re completely different. The ‘advantage’ of the cheaper seats is that they’re lighter and the bolsters are better. The other ones are more comfortable for sure.
looking forward for the next video. keep the good work. i have been watching every single one of your car reviews. really love your comments and critics about cars. all the best
:P Mach weiter so, klasse.
Excellent review!! Its nice for someone to give proper reviews and advice so people REALLY know what they are buying!!! I personally like this car because I like SUVs and I like Porshe. Other SUVs dont perform like the Cayenne GTS. Porshe has the winning formula! The Macan does perform better BUT they are not in the same category. The GTS is a great car.
I don't get your seat complains. I sat in the GTS with those seats this summer and they were the best seats I have ever been sitting on, truly epic. Also the alcantara is super soft.
I guess there are different body types, but many people agree with me. The higher option seats are far more adjustable, so try those too if you can and see for yourself :)
+stoneeh No, it's definitely not. A V6 has two cylinder banks with a bank angle of 60 or 90 degrees, whereas a VR6 engine only has one cylinderbank and an angle of 15 degrees between the cylinders, which makes it look more like an inline-6-engine. The only thing those two engines have in common is the displacement of 3.6L...
My family has a 2011 Cayenne S, my father optioned it pretty well but I was disappointed when I found out he didn't upgrade the sound system...I wasn't surprised though as he doesn't necessarily bump to music as a younger person would. Shockingly, the stock audio system to me is amazing, I'm not sure how you don't like it? Bass kicks hard, without any distortion of sound; and it still sounds better then my brothers new MKX with the Revel Audio system..
+Jaytionary Maybe I listen to the wrong music, but I found it very drony and missed a good deep bass at higher volume. I felt the same about the standard systems in the 911 and other Porsches. Check out the Bose or Burmester systems for a comparison if you can. They are amazing, especially the Burmester is well worth the price imo.
+TheGetawayer Love the Burmester in my Cayman as well. Superb quality! But you have to care for good sound quality and not just bass to enjoy and justify such a system.
Great review again! Love the quality of video and intro! I agree with you about sound of the v6 with Cayenne, not the same as v8. This car being much bigger should have a bigger engine in my view. I too would choose the Macan being lighter and sportier...
+Nick Regnier Thanks Nick ! The power is much better than the V8s, I give it that, but the sound wasn't great. I'd get a diesel, because their low down torque feels even nicer to me
Guido. Great review as always. I drive a 2016 targa 4S and I agree about the seats. I believe since they provided you a GTS that they gave you the sport seat which is narrower. There should also be a seat where the bolsters do not turn in as much and is more comfortable. I think it is the 14 way seat. Looking forward to your 911 review in the spring.
+gordon chester Thanks Gordon ! Those seats are the standard seats for the GTS. You are right the 14 and 18 way Porsche seats are great, but I also like the buckets which you get in the sportscars. Does your Targa have the new 3.0 turbo ? - Guido
+ray zhang I don't think its better. It has a few upgrades to make it sportier and a lowered suspension. That's pretty much it. I'd prefer the normal S actually
+ray zhang The GTS model has different trim all the way around the vehicle, as well as the rear spoiler, and it's painted. It also includes sport exhaust, alcantara headliner, air suspension, engine tune, panoramic sunroof. The S model has black plastic around the exhaust and wheel wells, which doesn't look good at all.
Your complaints about the Cayenne GTS seats are exactly what I disliked about my friends 2010 Nissan GTR seats: ridiculously narrow & small bolsters that I felt like my back Sat on top of them rather than nestled securely between them.
By the way Guido we could do with some of your freezing Bavarian air down in Switzerland....it's so warm that even the snow guns don't work. Used the Golf R on its winter tyres last week.....great fun in the snow! ;-)
+N Drummond I wasn't invited to the press driving event and don't feel like filming another Macan review after the Turbo last year. I think that's actually the best Porsche SUV right now, or maybe even the Macan Diesel for people who want to daily it
+adrian miranda Thanks Adrian ! I did film the C250 and C63S sedans, maybe the coupe will follow, but those reviews should already give you a good idea about how I'll end up feeling about the C Class Coupe. I would love to film the bigger S Class Coupe too, love that car :)
A great review Guido. I didn't know the latest GTS had a V6. My 2012 Cayenne Turbo has been an absolutely terrific family express and in my opinion works brilliantly with its V8 engine. Sounds great, goes even better! We thought of a Macan to replace it next but our twin 6'4" sons disagreed as the legroom is of a magnitude less.....so we extended the warranty to five years instead! The next generation Cayenne will probably move the game on somewhat. Interesting point you make about the front seats. The Porsche 18 way sports adaptive seats are a must especially if you are a big guy like us. I have the same seats too in a 911 and a Boxster as you know and if I could I'd have a pair in my house to sit in as well (like Top Gear). Incidentally I drove my wife and twins up to Stuttgart from Switzerland last summer to visit the Porsche factory and museum (which surprisingly she enjoyed very much) but what a fabulous drive.....heading north from Basel on the autobahn west of the Black Forest and down again afterwards to Zurich on the eastern autobahn......260 kph when safe, showed rock steady steering and chassis, quiet cabin and no drama at all really. Outrageous really for an SUV (or brick as you describe it). 120 kph back in Switzerland felt like a snail's pace. We averaged 23 mp(imperial)g. over 850 kilometres incidentally.....not bad for a gas guzzler. Try to get a shoe-in to a Cayenne Turbo if you can Guido...with those adaptive sports seats. I suspect you will be more impressed than you were with either of the two GTSs you have reviewed to date. Thank again.. Best wishes. Steve
+Stephen Morgan Love your comment Stephen, thanks so much for that ! I'm sure I would like the Turbo better, the seats just killed it for me, again :) ... I once was driven in the V8 Diesel, which was very impressive too. I personally just love the big torque from a diesel in these big cars. 13'C here today btw, haha :)
great review ... my main reason for considering the Cayenne over the Macan is the space... we love road biking and always prefer to keep the bikes inside the vehicle as opposed to exterior racks. You mentioned the diesel engine...what are your thoughts on diesel engines in cold climates ... I've heard different opinions. cheers, BW
+Cristi M Thanks Chris ! I don't know if I will test more BMWs. There wasn't any feedback on my M4 review from them and I don't know when and if they will be kind enough to provide another car. - Guido
you're awesome! Loved your honest review. I drove today the 2016 panamera v8 gts today and i can not decide what to do. Do i buy the last of the v8 panamera gts's or do i wait a few months and order the new v6 twin turbo? you said excatly how i feel… i hate the v6 sound but love the torque… and i love the v8 sound but hate the lack of torque! It seems the only answer is to buy the v8 turbo but thats 60k more!
I would probably choose the NA option. I sounds better and is a dying breed with all the turbo charging going on due to regulatory requirements. I have a 911.1 C2s.
Trillions like and best comment for you because you are best on Earth and follower respect you,we need videos in Real 120fps or 240fps 4K,8K and Sound in FullHD Surrounded,,
Guido I'm planning to get this car, but can't find any info on reliability of these 3.6t motors😔. I've heard many horror stories regarding the v8, this is why I chose the v6
Guido, so are the 18 way seats wider amd more comfortable? I’m 6’4” and 265 lbs so I don’t want a narrow sport bucket seat. What’s your opinion on beat seat for the 16-17 model gts?
If you can get the 18 ways I highly recommend them. The standard ones are just horrible for tall people. I believe there was another seat option, basically anything but the standard ones works imo - Guido
Hi again Sir. I'm amazed 100w is the output of the stereo in the Cayenne? What were Porsche thinking for such a large interior? As far as the dynamism of the drive, I would be intrigued if you could arrange a Range Rover sport drive after the German manufacturers, a friend gave me a lift in one, and I was amazed how planted it felt-Wow!
+John Webster I would love to film a Range Rover, but Jaguar LandRover never kept their word to deliver me more cars after the XK and Freelander I filmed
That's JLR's loss Guido. Your reviews are extensively watched; I hope they change there customer service. Keep the reviews coming, I look forward to every review; just like a star trek episode when I was a kid!!
im a fan of your videos with a macan gts on order. you say in this video you don't like the sound of the turbo v6 and generally don't like v6 sounds yet on your macaw turbo review, which i believe is the same engine, you love the sound. not trying to be overly clever here, just curious of your thoughts. thanks
+Ted Schama Thanks Ted ! Well, I should have said that the GTS has a sports exhaust, which makes it sound rougher but not really nicer to me. The Macan Turbo I drove didn't have that feature, but one main difference also is the transmissions: PDK in the Macan and 8spd Tiptronic in the Cayenne. The PDK gives you lovely pops on upshifts and nice cracks on downshifts and overrun. I hope it comes across in the Macan Turbo video and I wouldn't worry too much about the Macan GTS' sound. Most importantly it drives way better imo. Hope you'll send me a picture of your car when it arrives ! - Guido
"Torso like a toothpick" - well, that's just brilliant :-) This current generation of the Cayenne is definitely the best looking so far. However, I also prefer the Macan. This one is just too big. Similar to the Porsche sportscars, I'd say the smaller cars are the better ones ;-) Unless you want the prestige or in this case the road presence. Thanks for the review and your hard work in those freezing conditions.
+slaWterCH Haha, glad you liked it, just came to my mind :) Yeah the Macan is in a different league. I think it would outrun many AWD wagons on a winding road. It's ace
Leave the 911 until the better weather I want to know what you think of it. I am looking forward to you reviewing the Boxter/Cayman 4 cylinder when they are released. Such a shame they ditched the flat six for that.
+Michael Goodwin Thanks Michael, I appreciate it ! You know I like to have a certain quality of video and angles filmed, which takes too much time to film reviews more regulary. But RUclips only rewards regular uploads. I prefer filming different for every video ( at least I try, even when I use the same roads most of the time ). I don't want every video to be the same. So as a hobby for now, I'm enjoying it for what it is. Who knows, maybe I can do it professionaly when the right offer comes for that ;)
Nice job. I get why you like the Macan better but let's be real. It is tiny and for people who have families or travel some, it's not that practical like a Macan is.
Was sagst du?? Gruss
This is the first time I'm seeing one of your videos and I have to say the filters you are using on interior and exterior shots bothered me quite a bit. On the interior the brights are too bright (maybe it being snowy outside made it a bit worse than it actually was) and it makes everything else look dead. On the exterior shots the car was barely in focus and the red tinted, needlessly warm filter distorted every colour into a weird tone. But as far as content goes, it was pretty good. I had no idea about the 100W sound system, come on Porsche...
There's a new red Cayenne at a house near where I live. I think it looks like a prolapsed rectum flopped onto the driveway. Red isn't the color for this car. Looks fine on camera though!
+Michael Weber It get's alot of attention, almost like the green one I had :D I love it in black or even better this brown metallic, like one family in my town has it, with a beige interior. That looks ace for me :)
Thr seats are oriented for sport driving, if you haven't driven many recaros ,you will find it uncomftarble. As a package is unique ,going under 200kph under 20s is sports car terittory.
Thanks for your smart comment. I've been a road test editor for many years and I stand to my words: These seats are terrible. I also don't think this car is fast. A Urus or Bentayga will blow your mind, not this GTS
Hey Guido, I watched both your review on the 2013 and 2016 Cayenne GTS, and I think you just don't like the Cayenne at all. Well, you are seriously breaking my heart! :(. My new Cayenne GTS order will be delivered next month (February). My Porsche code is: PGELEX72. I first wanted the Macan GTS, but with a little pressure from my wife (using 2 kids as excuse), I decided for the Cayenne GTS instead. But, I added 3 items that could make a serious difference: Sport Chrono, Torque Vectoring, and PDCC. So, do you really think the Macan GTS will be that much superior to my Cayenne GTS? I definitely agree that the macan will have better handling and chassis, but my Cayenne GTS will be very close. Thanks again for the great reviews, but be kind to my beloved Cayenne GTS. ;)
+Mark Markon I'm sorry Mark :( ... No seriously: Don't worry ! The main things I didn't like where the seats . We picked up this Cayenne from Zuffenhausen in convoy with a Golf R and had a riot driving back to base on my favourite winding roads. The Cayenne is very capable. Very capable. I just prefer the Macan for its PDK ( more responsive ), smaller size ( helpful on the narrow roads here ) and I liked the driving postion better ( you feel like sitting abit lower, just from the seat mounting its closer to a normal car, not the height, if you get what I mean ? ). So I'm sure you will enjoy the Cayenne alot and I hope you'll send me a few pics to my facebook :) - Guido
I'd rather have the torque than a V6 without umpf and I'm lucky to get to test all their cars and have my own opinion doing so. It's called journalism ;)
thumps up. i like your reviews, thank you very much. in the v8 gts you don't need the bose system, because you only listen to the fantastic v8 sound. that's the big difference to the v6 gts...the v6 sounds poor to me. i would order the bose system and play AMG sound...no...just kidding...the v8 gts is my favorite choice.
Great review :) I'm getting really of premium manufacturers like Porsche and BMW providing the bare minimum of features as standard. BMW is especially disgraceful. You can spec up a 530D touring and end up with it costing EUR30k more than base price, which is already high. Profiteering is ugly.
+stubones Thanks ! Yes I agree. Have to say for the base price of the Cayenne GTS you'd get the fully loaded Touared I filmed, which felt like a much more luxurious car to me, with all the features I would want. The GLE was way nicer too. I would get a smaller engine and get more options instead of getting this GTS
TheGetawayer Its why I only buy a used car. Let the guy who ordered it pay for all the luxuries and I can buy the car three years later for about 60% of what he paid :)
+stubones Not to sound mean, but just don't get a BMW. Get a VW or Renault or something with similar equipment for less. From what I can see, with BMW non-M cars you're really just paying for the badge.
Bailey Smith No, the idea is to buy used :) You can buy a highly specced two or three year old BMW for a reasonable price and if you're prepared to buy a 7 or 8 year old car you can even pick up a V10 M5 for £15k. You're right though, "lower end" vehicles that one may not consider do offer a lot of spec for the money. The downside is they often lack performance and handling.
Listen guys what do you need 500 hp for in the turbo model or even 365 bhp you can only do 70 mph on the motorway s so any porche for that matter is overkill your paying for all that power and can't use it plus Porsche is one of the most unreliable vehicles on the road to day and parts are uber expensive so is the insurance i drive a Lexus rx with 246000 miles on it one of the most reliable vehicle on the road to day a brilliant vehicle no problems what so ever for comfort and safety and realibility it can't be touched i really believe that it will do 500000 mile s only problem is will I last that long hoho s
I dont know who send you, but in germany Porsche is considered to be one of the most reliable brands out there tested by our MOT (TÜV Technischer Überwachungsverein). Nobody drives Lexus here btw
+TheGetawayer haha? it was not a joke, or do you think its impossible that some people have a different meaning? next time take off your jacket when trying sportseats or drive a car on summertyres when talking about handling.. your welcome.
Gruss Gott & Thanks for a very interesting review. I found a link to your Cayenne test on the www.macanownersclub.co.uk/ where your comments about the uncomfortable sport seats on GTS were noted. I'm at the point this week of finalising the spec for my Macan S Diesel, and I have specified the sports seats, but now I'm worried ... I hope they are not like the very narrow seats in my old Boxster which does feel too narrow at the shoulders. I'm going top have a look at your Macan review now. Thanks again for making such an interesting Video. Tuss!
+Tony Earls Sorry to intrude but just to say I have 18 way sports adaptive seats on a Cayenne, Boxster and 911. They seem to be pretty much identical between the cars. I am 6'4" , not really a toothpick and these are the best seats I have ever sat in. Obviously I don't know your stature but these seats fit all comers. I have tried them in a Macan and they are just as good in my view. I like the Macan but it's not quite big enough while we still need to carry the "kids" around Europe on the back seat. Enjoy yours. Best wishes Steve
Hi Stephen Morgan, Thanks for the feedback, I only made this comment as "Getawayer" mentions how uncomfortable they are in the Cayenne GTS review above. The ones in my Boxster seem a bit narrow at the shoulders too. I'm only 5'11" .. he didnt have any negative comments on the Macan Seating so I'm sure they will be fine. But Cheers for the info Steve. ... And good luck hauling the kids around Europe .. I used to take my two all over Europe in the back of the Golf GTI Mk2 many years ago .. with 4 bikes strapped to the back bumper, I dont know how we survived. But it was more fun than the Sierra :) Tony
+Tony Earls Did you hold onto your GTi? I had a couple of Mk 1's back in the day, first a 1600 and then an 1800 both fresh out of the wraps. Wish I'd kept them. I've just bought a left hook Mk 7 Golf R and its crackerjack in the alps.....played with it in the snow last week on snow tyres and it's a hoot. I reckon your Macan will be just as much fun as it is a sports car and that's the difference between yours and my Cayenne..... Wife and I carted our four boys around in a Fiat Multipla when we were much younger.....tour youngest always got the front middle seat! Fun cars actually, big windows, a wheel in each corner and a torquey diesel. 1.6 and then 1.9. Got some strange looks though especially in the alps. Best wishes Stephen
Hi Stephen, Nope I haven't got my old GTi any more .. I sold it in 2003 for £500 quid! It was nearly mint, I'd done at least 120k miles in it when I got a new engine & gearbox lump put in by a garage in Solihull. They really new the GTi inside out. I was working in Nuremberg at the time, but it was worth trip back to get it serviced properly by people who understood it. I have the feeling you are probably living and working somewhere down in Bairen too.. Skipping about the Alps in the Golf ? I'm off to Soll next week to skitter about in the mountains Tuss!

just stumbled across you today, this is some quality camera work and review. Keep it up!
I really appreciate your honesty when you're doing your car reviews.
Great review!keep them coming!
+Scirocco ThePunisher Thanks !
Porsche Cayenne GTS is the limit in performance and comfort driving ......Unbeatable and Classified ultimate suv!!!!
Thanks Matt ! All the best for 2016 for you and Beth too :) Visit germany !!!!😃
Totally agree on the seats. I test drove a Porsche Cayenne GTS with the 8 way adjustable standard seats and they were incredibly uncomfortable.
Very interesting perspective on the Cayenne GTS, thanks! Another great video
+Jsah11 Thanks ! I'm glad you enjoyed the video !
this dude... amazing reviews.. much underrated!!
Loved this review! That intro was awesome. I actually LOVE these seats. I like "racecar-like" bolstering haha.
+Arthur Sperotto Haha, thanks ! Did you actually try them ? Nothing wrong with heavy bolsters, but everybody I asked said these are too narrow :/
@@ArthurSperotto that’s the one thing I like about the focus st was the seat, but not on a long distance
Apart from the horrible base seats I would agree with you.
Keep up the great work. I have been enjoying your videos for years, but lately it really has been next level.
+pandaK9 Wow, thanks ! It's all self-teached and I'm trying to improve, so glad you like the content ! - Guido
Great review! I Glad I went with the 18-way seats and Bose sound system.
So are the 18 way seats wider? I’m 6’4” and 265 lbs so I want a comfy seat not some race seat.
@@gordonm6128 yes they’re completely different. The ‘advantage’ of the cheaper seats is that they’re lighter and the bolsters are better. The other ones are more comfortable for sure.
Finally an honest review from someone who isnt hanging on porsche's balls! Keep them coming; I instantly subscribed and hope you review everything!
With each video, you keep getting better. Porsche must simply employ you in the near future!
+papoopa5800 I'm glad you enjoy the videos, thanks !
looking forward for the next video. keep the good work. i have been watching every single one of your car reviews. really love your comments and critics about cars. all the best
+huang minglei Thanks ! More filming this week, so stay tuned :)
Great editing Guido. Keep up the good work!
Glad you enjoyed it thanks !
Is the new Cayenne S (2019-) bascially the softer version of this V6 GTS? I test drove one and loved the engine response of 2.9S.
Again a very nice and honest review! Love your videos!
+StuBruful Thanks !
Excellent review yet again! Keep up the good work!
+Sam Hinkley Thanks Sam !
Thank you for reviewing this one Guido. Great and honest review.
+William Scott Glad you like it, thanks for watching !
Deine Videos sind Weltklasse! Danke
Looks like a busy spring for you.... m235, new 911, etc...
:P Mach weiter so, klasse.
+Kaickness Danke :) Ja das haben wir damals auch schon bemerkt, ich erinner mich noch :)
great review as always😊👍👍👍
Great & useful review.
Great review, honest and sensible !! thanks
Thank you, you have answered my question, cayenne vs macan
You're very welcome
Another great review. Looking forward to your next one.
+sonic3333 Thanks !
I love the GTS trim on the Panamera, and the normally aspirated v8!!!
+TheGetawayer ??? English please...thank you for the great reviews.
+golfbuddy1969 woooops:))) sorry
A very informative review as always! Are you planning to do Golf GTI review? I would love to see it so much! Thanks a lot!
+Edgar Alekyan Thanks ! I already did film the latest GTI last summer. Currently filming a Golf R :)
+TheGetawayer Oh my bad, I must've missed it. Golf R should be interesting, can't wait to see it!
+Thank You Thanks !
Great review as always Guido! Sounds like Macan GTS > Cayenne GTS based on this. Hard to beat the Macan handling!
+Christopher Brown Thanks Christopher ! Yes. PDK makes the difference, I think. Those pops and cracks just sound better :)
I will ;-) But these are quite high too. Im like 183 and the height was perfect.
what an incredibly well done video/review. thank you!
+Brian Hylton Thank you for watching ! - Guido
Great video Guido.
+Geoffrey Hughes Thanks Geoffrey !
so is this the older VW 3.6L with a turbo?
I wonder if this V6 is actually a turbocharged version of the R36 (3.6l VR6) from VW.
+stoneeh Interesting question :) No idea actually
+stoneeh No, it's definitely not. A V6 has two cylinder banks with a bank angle of 60 or 90 degrees, whereas a VR6 engine only has one cylinderbank and an angle of 15 degrees between the cylinders, which makes it look more like an inline-6-engine. The only thing those two engines have in common is the displacement of 3.6L...
You're right Kangoo, I googled a pic of the engine and you can see two cylinder banks.
+Kangoo Moto Thanks for sharing that !
TheGetawayer No problem, mate, love your content! Keep up the good work.
Btw. I really liked the shot at 1:33 =)
My family has a 2011 Cayenne S, my father optioned it pretty well but I was disappointed when I found out he didn't upgrade the sound system...I wasn't surprised though as he doesn't necessarily bump to music as a younger person would.
+slaWterCH my father isn't an audiophile nor am I, the stock system sounds fantastic to me
Great review again!
I'd get a diesel, because their low down torque feels even nicer to me
+TheGetawayer interesting you say this. Never thought I would go for a diesel with Porsche if I am honest...
Great video! Funny, right when I first seen those seats I said those look uncomfortable.
+Suzuki1776 Haha, thanks !
- Guido
How much better is the GTS compare to the normal S?
+ray zhang I don't think its better. It has a few upgrades to make it sportier and a lowered suspension. That's pretty much it. I'd prefer the normal S actually
TheGetawayer The V8 version GTS has terrific exhaust notes, but this one sounds so dull.
+ray zhang Agreed. This new engine might have some advantages, but not the sound!
Kayone73 it's a Nissan after all
Average consumption 13l? How about city consumption?
By the way Guido we could do with some of your freezing Bavarian air down in Switzerland....it's so warm that even the snow guns don't work.
Used the Golf R on its winter tyres last week.....great fun in the snow! ;-)
Guido, please test drive Macan GTS.
+N Drummond I wasn't invited to the press driving event and don't feel like filming another Macan review after the Turbo last year. I think that's actually the best Porsche SUV right now, or maybe even the Macan Diesel for people who want to daily it
Has Porsche replaced the old Aisin 8-speed gearbox with the ZF 8-speed unit?
Thanks for another great video Guido!
Any plans for reviewing the C Class Coupe in the near future?
I've heard different opinions. cheers, BW
I wish it still had the V8 but I'm convinced that this V6TT is much better.
The rod bearing issues are too notorious in the v8 and the repair costs are a bitch
Guido you are the man! I hope you will test BMW X5 or x6
+Cristi M Thanks Chris ! I don't know if I will test more BMWs. There wasn't any feedback on my M4 review from them and I don't know when and if they will be kind enough to provide another car. - Guido
great review!!
+Cincombo Thanks !
When will you review a Macan GTS? Would be an interesting comparison no? And also the better choice versus the Macan Turbo one would think.
I hope you'll get a drive in the Macan as well. Its pure brill!
EDIT: I should learn to comment after watching the video... hahahaha
+P2nkzSB I already did film the Macan Turbo last winter, check the links under the video :)
Yeah, I heard you say it in the video literally 2 seconds after I posted :D
Good one Guido!
+No 911 Thanks !
+TheGetawayer I sat in a friends Cayenne diesel and those seats were pretty nice it was the 14 way ones.
+Drewbie85 those are the ones to go for👍
thanks guido, honest and critical review. in my opinion the V6 Sound does not fit with the appearance of a Cayenne ...
+z3r0dahero Yes, that's what I thought. Either have a diesel or a V8
Please, Do review the Macan GTS
Already filmed a Macan Turbo. Maybe Porsche can roll out a GTS too, will see 👍
you're awesome!
I have a 911.1 C2s.
i'd pick this over the macan just because its more comfortable and more room. Where I live cant use that much handling.
What do you think of used Cayennes (2nd generation aka 2011 to present)? They seem to be quite cheap (~35k€)...
I would be very careful with all big used SUVS. A good service history is a must:)
great review.. gt3 rs would be nice if you can review it...
+VerangaF430 Thanks ! Porsche only had three press cars last year and I couldn't get one, sry
+TheGetawayer damn so they sold them too?
John Webster it's called being a sports car... you don't need a million dollar audio in a Ferrari... Jesus the internet...
im a fan of your videos with a macan gts on order. you say in this video you don't like the sound of the turbo v6 and generally don't like v6 sounds yet on your macaw turbo review, which i believe is the same engine, you love the sound. not trying to be overly clever here, just curious of your thoughts.
- Guido
TheGetawayer thank you. really enjoy your reviews. keep them coming
I liked the brick analogy lol! I agree it feels like that. An agile brick lol! You're too big for the seats
guido, the car looks good. but i will take your word for it. maybe the touareg is better then the cayenne???
Yes so far the Touareg is my fav. I loved the interior, ride quality and low consumption with the diesel.
"Torso like a toothpick" - well, that's just brilliant :-)
This current generation of the Cayenne is definitely the best looking so far.
+Michael Goodwin PS great review as always as someone else said I am surprised you dont have more subs.
You are right, the Cayenne is a bigger car with more cargo space
can you do a review of range rover sport ?
+matej tadic Couldn't get cars from Jaguar Land Rover since 2013. They promised me a few tests but broke their word :)
Enjoy your reviews. Most reviews here in Canada are manufactured by the auto maker.
+Curtish8892 H Glad to hear that, my friends at RoadsUntraveled do great reviews and are canadian. Check them out !
you deserve 10 times the subscribers you have .. try promoting yourself somehow
Ikr he always talks about the things I want to hear about. Criminally underrated channel!
+Nik Brudar Right now it's still nothing but a hobby for me :)
+TheGetawayer however we have here our special atmosphere if you understand me
TheGetawayer it was only a hobby of Steve Jobs (RIP) or Zuckerberg too and look where they've gotten themselves to with doing what they love properly.
+Nik Brudar i was hoping he doesn't have that many subscribers because things will get more complicated as subscribers increase.
Was sagst du?? Gruss
l always Iook forward to your videos :)
+World Traveler东北 That's great to hear, thanks !
Why do you need a macan and why are you comparing it just does not make sense too
I think your comment makes less sense than the comparison between these two models
Thank you, I value your opinion.
+TheGetawayer Thank you. I really did enjoy the video besides those points.
Another objectively scathing review. 100 Watt audio system in a Porsche is beyond disappointing
Du gibst Kritik, du gibst Lob, du hast deine eigene Meinung, tolle Aufnahmen...
Macan turbo heavy understeer on hard drive...
+MS57 Haha, no way
We just sat and watched this on the 65 inch with some brandy dude.
Classy :) Hope you enjoyed !
Addicted mate. Secret fan.
An exhaust sound clip scene would be a nice addition to the video =)
+tokekkk Forgot to bring the GoPro, sorry ;)
+TheGetawayer or maybe you can set the camera in front of the exhaust tip and blast away XD
Ging die Heizung nicht? Zieh mal den fetten Mantel aus, dann paßt es auch mit dem Sitz ;)
:D Auch das hat wenig geholfen, es sind auch weibliche Mitfahrer zum gleichen Fazit gekommen ;)
I just prefer the Macan for its PDK ( more responsive ), smaller size ( helpful on the narrow roads here ) and I liked the driving postion better ( you feel like sitting abit lower, just from the seat mounting its closer to a normal car, not the height, if you get what I mean ? ). So I'm sure you will enjoy the Cayenne alot and I hope you'll send me a few pics to my facebook :) - Guido
selam cokiyi arac
Cayenne Diesel over GTS hahaha. You got to be kidding! Oh and you definitely drank the Macan Kool
Aid, great marketing from Porsche
I'd rather have the torque than a V6 without umpf and I'm lucky to get to test all their cars and have my own opinion doing so. It's called journalism ;)
thumps up. i like your reviews, thank you very much. in the v8 gts you don't need the bose system, because you only listen to the fantastic v8 sound. that's the big difference to the v6 gts...the v6 sounds poor to me. i would order the bose system and play AMG sound...no...just kidding...the v8 gts is my favorite choice.
+Hans-Peter Gerlach Haha great comment and true :)
TheGetawayer
Its why I only buy a used car.
Bailey Smith
No, the idea is to buy used :) You can buy a highly specced two or three year old BMW for a reasonable price and if you're prepared to buy a 7 or 8 year old car you can even pick up a V10 M5 for £15k. You're right though, "lower end" vehicles that one may not consider do offer a lot of spec for the money. The downside is they often lack performance and handling.
ótimo
Nobody drives Lexus here btw
glorified Toyota over a Porsche? Thanks for the laugh.
uhh, on almost every review there were positief about the points he disliked about the car.
Really ? I would love to see those reviews haha
+TheGetawayer haha? it was not a joke, or do you think its impossible that some people have a different meaning? next time take off your jacket when trying sportseats or drive a car on summertyres when talking about handling.. your welcome.
+RoyCoST I know enough Porsche owners who agree with me, your feedback is appreciated...but the seats still suck;)
Gruss Gott & Thanks for a very interesting review. I found a link to your Cayenne test on the
www.macanownersclub.co.uk/
where your comments about the uncomfortable sport seats on GTS were noted.
I'm at the point this week of finalising the spec for my Macan S Diesel, and I have specified the sports seats,
but now I'm worried ...
Hi Stephen Morgan,
Thanks for the feedback, I only made this comment as "Getawayer" mentions how uncomfortable they are in the Cayenne GTS review above.
But it was more fun than the Sierra :)
Tony
Best wishes
Stephen
Hi Stephen,
Nope I haven't got my old GTi any more ..
I'm off to Soll next week to skitter about in the mountains
Tuss!
what happend to the TheGetawayer? In jail or dead?
Stay tuned ;)
My fav Carmine Red Porsche Cayenne GTS but i don't like this new 2015 model facelift
