Hey snowboarding, this is a reviewer who rips. Can we please send him more product to review, thanks.
🙏🏻🙏🏻
Your riding is epic 👏🏼
Appreciate that 🤙🤙
@@SearchofSnowboarding steezy 💯
sick riding man, solid bag of tricks and very well performed. Loved the sw back 5 and the fs7
Thanks a ton dude!
One question, if you had to choose for all around and only one binding to choose from as your go to from Union which would it be? I’m thinking of getting the atlas and or the force for my mega Merc and SDOA
Just wore my 2024 Force bindings for the first time. Loved the ankle strap. Really didn't like the toe strap at first, but it did get a bit better as the day went on. Second ride on them tomorrow. Gonna decide if they're keepers or not. :)
Don't see why they wouldn't be. Hope your finding pow somewhere
Great review, I'm picking these up! BTW what are front and rear riding angles setup? Thanks!
Sweet you going New or Classic? I was riding 15, -15 on this day
Steezy lines brodi! The new forces have waaaay better aesthetics too. Super clean.
I'm rockin the now yes select pro Kowalchuk collab from last year.
Thanks dawgie, yeah I feel like they just look like "2024"
very smooth riding :)
Thanks my man!
How do you know when it's time to replace/upgrade your bindings? I've had my Union Force for over 5 years now and aside from a ankle strap replacement, it still feels great. I'm just worried that it might suddenly break on me someday in the middle of riding hard given its age.
Bindings are the piece of gear that last the longest. Bindings from 5 years ago most likely just break down in the ankle strap, but the new straps last much longer. I'd say you're getting close to getting a new pair when you can, you might want to try the new force
You can always just buy parts to keep around like the actual straps are really cheap. I just ordered a new ankle strap today since I snapped one strap this weekend. I've had mine for 2.5 years.
Hi,
I'm an intermediate driver. I'm excited about carving. I would like to know which bindings you recommend considering that I am an intermediate driver. I drive a Nidecker Escape Plus wide. I'm deciding between Force and Atlas. Or something else? What do you say? Otherwise, you have great tips and equipment tests in your videos.
Thanks, either would be a great choice. The Atlas will be a little stiffer and more responsive and the Force will give you a little more comfort
Do you think new force will pair with the new Megadeath or Atlass pro ?
which union binding would u recommend for a salomon pulse? I only do blues and might go park this year or in a little when I feel comfortable. I want to carve and maybe to rails and little jumps in the future. (beginner/intermediate)
I'd go with the Union Force(either classic or new). I got them when I was an intermediate two years ago and I still ride them today. Great bindings
Yup I was going to say the Force would be a great choice too
I've been waiting for a side-by-side review. Thank you for this.
For me, the "magic" of the force classic IS the highback. I run Stratas, Force, and Atlas - but all have Force highbacks (sold in pairs for around $70). The only Union binding in my quiver that I don't swap the highback is the Ultra.
I'm glad the Force "Pro" went the way of the Dodo. The toe straps on the "Pros" SUCKED (yes, I'm yelling 😆). The ratchet mounting screws were tiny and threaded into the paper-thin metal. I broke one on day one, and the other on day 3. Looks like they are back to the old style 👍(that worked just fine, and continues to hold up to any punishment I can deal out).
Thank you :)
You got it!
i ride a 156 CAPiTA Supernova Snowboard 2017 with 2016 Flux TM bindings. Love the all-mountain charger setup i have but looking for something for forgiving and softer to cruise around the entire mountain hunting sidehits and powder stashes in trees. Thinking of getting a 2023 rome stale fish in a size 148 on sale and the new 2024 union forces in green to match, any opinion/knowledge on either of those pieces/the combo of the two?
The Force goes great with any board you're planning to ride all mountain, although I'm not familiar enough with any Rome boards to drop any advice on that
@@SearchofSnowboarding heard the forces are good for all around but have been reading that people like the Rome katana bindings and Rome DOD etc when it comes to cushion and customization. I haven’t had any Rome gear myself but there seems to be a following. Want a DWD board or a lib tech cold brew but haven’t found a killer deal on them
Hey! I cannot decide between the atlas and the updated force. I am currently riding the strata with my DoA, but I will move towards to the new Mercury once it will be released. What would you suggest? Riding style: all mountain, bit of everything.
Either would be great with the Mercury. I personally really like riding the Atlas with the Mercury though
@@SearchofSnowboarding if weight matters I am 65-70kg and 175cm so I am on the lighter side 😅 Also, thank you very much for your efforts, keep up the good work!!
@@milanjakab877 No weight doesn't make too much of a difference for bindings
@@SearchofSnowboarding thank you! I am sorry but let me please ask one more question. Would you recommend 153 or 155 for the mercury?
I can´t decide between the cartel x and the new force for my yes standard. Do you think the force is much better or where will i feel the difference?
They're pretty different, the Cartel X is going to be much stiffer. The Cartels are more similar to the Atlas from union. Maybe watch this video to see more of the differences ruclips.net/video/9KSlirLa-cY/видео.html
Thanks alot
Haven't ridden the Cartel X but I'm on year three of riding the Union Force and they've been really good and have held up well.
What’s your boot size vs the binding size you tried?
Size 9 boot in a Medium binding
great review, i personally ride with Burton freestyle (my third pair) i like the surfy feeling of mid-soft but i understand many rider want more support, and when we think support two names comes immediately 😁😁, union force and Cartel. Union make very good bindings for sure 👍👍👍.
I think you'd really enjoy upgrading from those freestyles, you might find the surfy feel you like better in a binding like the Union Ultra
ah great advice, I will look for the union ultra, but for the moment the third pair is still new I just bought it on sale (€93 - around $90). I ride for a maximum of 2 years with my maximum 3 pairs (they are not damaged but I like to change) like the boots that I keep for a maximum of 60 days. But I put the ultra on my list. For you, are they better than Burton Mission?
@@1sma_l Yeah better than the Mission and Freestyle, those are ok just very basic.
Yeah I upgraded from freestyle to Force two years ago and i was definitely worth it. Keeps your feet fresh a lot longer and just ride a lot better@@SearchofSnowboarding @1sma_I
Very nice
Thanks 🤙
Hey !!
Question for ya Capita doa or super doa ?
Always go for the better build out when you can, Super DOA!
Done and done . Thank you .
Love your videos 🇨🇦
Force 2024 - Great binding, but there seems to be an issue with the ankle strap connector as its slipping out of the plastic rail below the ratchet and getting loose. Very annoying. Anyone else with this problem?
The Strata ancle strap killed my foot. I like the contact pros. I wonder if these are more hardcore than Strata
Does anyone have any thoughts on union force vs strata on the warpig?
Really couldn't go wrong with either of those bindings on that board
Lots of good snowboards out there, but for bindings it’s Union, Burton, or bust for me 🔥
100%, they both rule the binding game
@@SearchofSnowboardingin Japan it's all FLUX. love my DS and XF!
New bataleon bindings are unreal
I think the Union Force Classic aren't good bindings at all, judging from a 2016 modell (of course that's some time ago). Biggest disadvantage is the huge footprint for their size, with an L it gets difficult to fit snowboards around the 160cm mark, which really shouldnn't be a problem at all. My toe strip snapped once and both bindings show heavy sign of usage even though I didn't ride them often or were in any accidents that directly involved them. The 4x4 mounting plate is also kind of weird and misses out on adjustabilty features that seem standard for other brands. Not a big fan of the ratches either. And asymmetric highback is standard with most other manufactures for a good reason I guess, that was known before purchasing them though. Only big plus is the detailed adjustabilty of the binding itself (apart from the mentioned mounting plate), which I doubt many riders actually make use of. I was kind of baffled how much better I liked Burton bindings. Seem like a higher quality product in pretty much every way to me. Perhaps the size of a company does matter in terms of built quality and Burton has like 40x the revenue of Union. I do like the fact that Union as a European start up was able to establish themselves in the snowboard industry, but I honstely find the particular bindings to be pretty bad, despite getting praised online as the best do it all option out there.
The new force is the one for myself love them road then about 5 times already and I’m a big fan
Yeeew dawige
Are these as comfy as the malavita?
The new Force is almost comfier
@@SearchofSnowboarding I am worried that the malavita will be discontinued next season. Have you heard anything about this?
