Just bought this one. I really thought it was much bigger until I realized most reviewers are really short. Another thing many people don't realize is that it's not 7 feet wide, but only around 5.9 feet in diameter (approximately 180 cm).

It really is deceiving in real life

I just got one, but kind of annoyed that the sizing is completely off and both Westcott, Glow, and Impact all do the same thing. Any idea why?

      Not sure why?

I bought 2 last year. I use them for location projects. Couldn’t get by without them.

You will deal with another problem, you need to put the light "right at the edge of the umbrella" so it does not spill outside and will fill the umbrella with light to reflect. so you will not be able to bring it high enough to use its potential , you might as well get a smaller one or a higher ceiling …!

i picked up a 6' because a) i dont have a lot of room and b) it was just about 1/2 the cost of the westcott. i DID get a 7' diffuser for the front of it but ive only played around with it for now. no clients shot with it yet.
Peter Coulson has a video of his 10' broncolor umbrella. thats big

put a diffuser on it and it becomes a wonderful fill light.

I really wanted to get one of those but cooler heads prevailed. I have a small home studio and only shoot for fun (retired old geezer) I tried a 5 foot umbrella and it barely fit. Even my 5 foot does an amazing job. If I ever figure a way to get one to fit I know I would get one but for now I have to make due with what works in the space I have.

is it really 7FT? or 72" like some advertised. can you please measure the diameter and report back. Thanks!

72" is only 6' so if theyre advertising 7' and only selling it as a 6', id be cheesed. i picked up a 6' for half the price, because i didnt have the c-note at the time to drop on the westcott

This was a pointless unboxing, not a review.
