funny story as a child I use to sit inside of my dads bass drum while he played. later in life when I was 6/7 I thought it was cool that my dad had our last name on his drum set.I later learned that Rogers was just the brand and not there because of him. we lost the kit in a house fire in my teen years but have always wanted one. I own a Tama set and am now 48. someday lol but the finish on that snare brings back fond memories.

Thanks for the shout out brother... was a pleasure meeting you.
    That's an absolutely beautiful drum.
Those are 4947 lugs ... and your dates are just a bit off.
Flat top B&B lugs were used from 53-57 then the ridged B&B lugs from 1958-1963.
In 1960 arrived the 3917 lugs which you referred to as the "shorter" lugs... the ones that the reproductions will accommodate.
Also Powertone replaced Holiday in 1963.
Keep doing what you are doing... Love this video.
And as always, reach out if you ever have any questions or concerns.
    Much respect.

I fixed up my dad's Roger's Luxor model blue sparkle snare from the 60s recently. It's pretty neat. Had to wood glue and clamp one of the reinforcement rings inside.

I had to do the same with some vintage ludwig bongos. I was really happy with the outcome!

Thanks for the comment, you really paired down. I try really hard to play all my snares so i can justify keeping them. I think I’m up to 15 snares. What 3 snares did you end up keeping?

I sure do love your videos!!!!! Your knowledge of these drums is great. Thanks for another home run video. I am a #1 fan of Rogers, and love Anthony's amazing work as well. Can I ask you a stupid question without offending you? On your videos, you often tap the drums with some kind of stick. I hope it's just a plastic straw, but it sounds like it's metal. Anyway, keep these awesome videos coming.

Thanks again for your comments. Anthony is a total beast when it comes to Rogers. I’ve been wanting to attend the rogers drum show. It was on the grounds of the old covington factory this year. And yeah, it’s a plastic stick that i use as a pointer. I wouldn’t use metal. Good looking out

Hola, tu amigo tubo mucha suerte con esos Bread and butter lugs.
Busca en youtube- rogers drums the evolution of a holiday.
Ai tambien esplica anthony ese theow off.
Muchas gracias por estas comunicasiones. Have a great day brother
