- Rosamund Pike talks I Care a Lot!
Poised with sharklike self-assurance, Marla Grayson (Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike) is a professional, court-appointed guardian for dozens of elderly wards whose assets she seizes and cunningly bilks through dubious but legal means. It's a well-oiled racket that Marla and her business-partner and lover Fran (Eiza González) use with brutal efficiency on their latest "cherry," Jennifer Peterson (two-time Academy Award winner Dianne Wiest) -- a wealthy retiree with no living heirs or family. But when their mark turns out to have an equally shady secret of her own and connections to a volatile gangster (Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage), Marla is forced to level up in a game only predators can play -- one that's neither fair, nor square.

Rosamund has been overlooked for the longest time. I'm so glad she's getting the recognition she deserves
We agree!
i loved the way She describe the relationship with her wife Fran.
I couldn’t find myself rooting for her character at any point, but her acting was amazing.
There was no reason to root for her. I don't get that.
The character of Rosamund Pike is played so superbly well that she will be one of the most remembered feminine villains in the history of cinematography. A first also, in many aspects
of her double faced, personality. However , I want to point out that Bette Davis also played in her time, some of, what was then considered some of the most evil women in the history of film, like Jezebel, The Letter, Mrs. Skeffington, and others where evil immortalizes the character created by the actor. This is also the case in I care a lot.
Rosamund has sealed into cinematographie this caracter Forever!something that I believe only Bette Davis a maybe a few other actresses have been able to do in the whole history of cinema! Her creation is superb,
unforgettable and immortal, but I must also say that Fran's acting and feelings also do help
a lot in the interchange making the results perfect, they are certainly an unforgettable pair.
God help us ,to ever fall in their hands, and I only want to add that I hadnot seen anything as well made and as good as this film
In a long, long Time!
I love Rosamund Pike so much ❤️❤️❤️
Marla Grayson, maybe reminiscent of Scarlet O'Hara, who also was relentless and wanted to win, and she did, but like Marla, lost it all at the end. Both characters are played, flawlessly by British actresses of outstanding and unforgettable talent. Their ability to carry out their Amazing Characters in flawless American English is another great achievement of both.
Rosamund Pike as well as Eisa Gonzalez , the Director as well as all others that intervened
in, "I Care A Lot", make this film one of the best of the present century, reminiscent of the ones made during Hollywood's golden Era. Unforgettably great!
She was extremely good in this role, I really hated that character. I understand she needed to find something to love about this character in order to play her, but I found nothing lovable about her, which made the ending very satisfying. Kind of like Brittny Spears dad, when I heard what he was doing I was equally horrified.
I Love 💗 you 👍🏻👍🏻🦔🦔🦔🦔
"You root for her." Let's not go nuts there, Rose. Marla was a horrible, HORRIBLE person. Cruel, cold, and and just plain nasty.
I agree, but I think she explained it better when she said Marla shocks, but we like to be shocked.
Reminds me of how Villanelle of Killing Eve is very much liked by the audience despite being a killer.
I only just watched this move tonight - At no point would I ever root for a person like this. And I have no idea why she/Rose was under any impression to say that - did she not know how unforgivably awful that character was.
you are my. Mom
Amber Heard character in a nutshell
I wanted to see her charactor killed early on in the movie. I hated her.
