Jin Kusaragi I am confused as to what you mean by Jump In. You mean like jumping towards your opponent to keep a combo string going? If so how do I do a 1 or 2 Jump In. I'm new to fighting games.
Donovan Soule, in several fighting games (Tekken, the newer Mortal Kombats, Injustice and Injustice, etc.), players use a numbered button notation instead of the button names per system (X, Circle, Triangle, B, A, Y, R1, Left Trigger, etc.) to avoid confusion and be universally understood when talking about attacks, combos, etc.; it's for convenience and ease of comprehension. In Injustice's case, 1 is light attack, 2 is the medium attack, and 3 is heavy attack. Meter Burn (MB) has its own button, as does Character Trait. And yes, jump in means to, well, jump into your opponent, usually with an attack as your coming down. Neutral jump means to jump straight up, while jump away is similarly self-explanatory.
god damm it 3 hours trying to learn b2 d2 the kiss of death and nothing pisses me instead of kiss of death after b2 d2 it does the the vine drill ...how i dont know ha
Make sure to pause the game and go to wireless controller settings to turn off the input shortcuts and negative edge. These mechanics are meant to make the game easier, but I find they just get in the way. Mainly because the game tries to guess what you want, instead of just reading your inputs normally.
Hello just a little thanks you for every guide you make and everything you do on your channel for real thanks you help me so much to understand all characters in SFV MKX & Injustice 2 i hope you get more subs
Legit question TUDG, have you seen Ahmz1404's combo videos? His are so good because he puts the actual buttons on the top of the screen as well as the strings on the bottom. Could you possible put the buttons at the top? I can read J2 etc. strings but it's a lot easier to have 2 frames of reference
That's a LOT more work and takes up a lot of screen space. I'd really prefer to not have them. You learn the string better when you have to put effort in anyway.
????? He has to press "Y" on the string he's doing in the combo menu. Literally takes like a minute and a half. How is it "better" to not have another source of information?
Snarfindorf, the only problem--and the reason we use number notation--is that those displays would show the buttons for that particular system (X, O, R1, etc. for PlayStation with X, A, B, LT, etc. for Xbox) and not for the other system. If you're interested enough to learn combos, I highly encourage you to learn the universal number notation. It makes communicating so much easier for all involved. EDIT: The only universal thing, if displayed, would be the string and special attack names. That said, learning the string names doesn't help you learn how to perform (and/or memorize) the string. Same with specials, although they're certainly referred to by name more commonly.
You ever edited a video before? It's more work than you'd think to add it in. And I'm not pressing "Y", I"m pressing triangle. Therefore, he'd have to add both. And what about people playing on keyboard (yes there are people who do this). Should he include the keyboard keys too? Now we have 4 lines of overlay instead of just using the universal one. It's worth learning. Having to translate it in your head makes you remember it better because it's deep processing. Just reading it once isn't nearly as useful if you're trying to memorize it.
Stop dude, you're being silly. It'd only be for one platform, so PS4. He moves the inputs he already has down to the bottom, and hits triangle to put the in-game buttons at the top. Super easy to translate those buttons to other platforms i.e. the user just goes "hmm, triangle equals y so I just do that" (ahmz1404 is on ps4, i translate those buttons to xbox). I disagree with how you're thinking. I've read the inputs this way and I've memorised all the strings I've ever needed. I know every single Shinnok string, for example.
Please do a Harley Quinn combo tutorial next. I would very much so appreciate it. Or Catwoman. Either way. you have some of the best guides on RUclips and I appreciate your work. Thank you!
After the down back y plus meter burn what you have to connect combo press and hold Foward a it will connect then go into jump Foward x and rest of combo
6what does qcb mean by itself? f.e.: b+2, d+2 -qcb...from what I gather it's quarter circle back, but just not sure of what it's sposed to do in that context

Letters & Numbers Explained Here!
Xbox One
1 = X
2 = Y
3 = A
4 = B (character trait)
LT = Bat
PS4
1 = Square
2 = Triangle
3 = X
4 = Circle (character trait)
DIRECTIONS
f = forward
b = back
d = down
u = up
qcf / qcb = quarter circle forward/back
hcf / hcb = half circle forward/back
NJ = neutral jump
MB = Meter Burn (Enhanced Attack)
For those that don't know, jump in 2 scales harder than jump in 1. So if you want more damage use ji1

i think the hardest part is to do the kiss after the b 2 d 2
I've seen very little information on Ivy out there, so this is great! Guess it's more interesting to focus on the new characters first.

Why do supers scale?? More people would use them if they didn't. They are supers after all.
Hitting the forward 3 whats the timing? Do you have to hit it super early or wait a bit? or do you need to walk forward a little to make it hit?
loved the flash beginners guide. could you do one for green lantern
