As Conan stated, his only goal with all his guests is to relate to them on a human level. Conan believes that you can find common ground with pretty much any other human being regardless of your differences. One shouldn’t only interact with people who agree with them on every single thing, that path leads to utter madness.
And why I love Conan. Hate begets hate, extremism begets extremism. Without humanizing each other, without finding common ground and being able to disagree while still being civil things never get better. And it’s also a sign of low emotional and mental intelligence.
Let’s see him interview trump
Have a talk with people who know the other side of the story of WWII. We’re all intelligent enough to know how war propaganda works, aren’t we? Surely we’re clued in enough to understand the connection between Hollywood and Israel... Hollywood films prop up war propaganda which is what made the Allied world support the creation of a new nation at the expense of those who already lived there...

It was great seeing this side of Conan. You could feel the emotion he had talking about making his parents laugh. Oddly, it was one of the closest times I’ve ever seen Conan get to tears.

I don't think I've ever seen his emotions bubble up like that before. I think usually when he starts feeling that way he will channel it into a 'bit', but couldn't really do that in this situation so just spoke what he was feeling!

The thing about Irish Mothers is they are extremely strong and dominant. I grew up believing I was irish, because I had an Irish Grandmother who just totally dominated the culture of the whole family, so we're all (me and my 17 aunts and uncles and 60 odd cousins) are culturally irish, but genetically we are, some of us, only 1/4 irish.
another thing about the irish is the stand up to oppressive regimes. whether that's the English or the Israaelis

So happy for Conan getting this. He’s a really unique interviewer and an amazing improviser. Idve LOVED to be a fly on the wall for the prep for this. From making sure they show Biden in a good light and keep him on track, to being fun and funny, to also be interesting and insightful….lots of pressure when interviewing a president. I know production is chaotic af but I bet this was an exciting week for them
Conan tries to show all his guests in a good light. Letterman is a great comedian and host, but he would often be content to embarrass his guests as long as it got a laugh, which was his thing, and was pretty entertaining. But Conan has always tried to relate to each of his guests on a human level and show them in the best light possible regardless of who they were. Even in cases where the guest made it quite difficult for Conan to do that.
This is a surprisingly intimate, sensitive interview.
As an Irish man born and living in Ireland , these guys couldn't have got it more right , we know our worth we bow to no one and do what our parents tell us 😂

Nearly everything on RUclips and TV is edited anyway, otherwise it's just boring. Unless it's something that's supposed to be slow-moving like maybe a step-by-step tutorial or a live stream. The best editing isn't distracting.
