I haven’t laughed this hard in a while! Personally, when a new 2K gets released, my first season is always played on rookie so I can build up my player faster. After that, I will then increase to hall of fame the following season.

Summer League championship is on like rookie by default I believe. After that all regular season games will be set to whatever difficulty you choose. Also, run a lot of PnR to get ya grade up and so you can score.
