Welp, I started unity dev when I was 11, and that game is nice considering the fact it was made in your it project of course 😂 Game Maker version 1 wasn't so great with to work with tho, but it was great considering the scarcity of user friendly game engines back then, the scene of gamedev definitely changed with the arrival of Unity 5, Unreal got free for small commercial use, Game Maker 2 was released, and the rest is history.
Love these "coming back to older projects"-videos! :) Love to do it myself and find it very motivating when other people do it too. Keep up the good work!

I saw on the video when you hit the triangle with your square it rotated. I would suggest disabling the rotation on the rigidbody of the enemy and the player if you haven't already done that. Also because you can spam bullets you can make a pretty simple system that gives you 2-3 bullets once you have killed an enemy so it's not spammable! Anyways, it's a great and simple game.

I know what it’s like to have that breathing thing happen, it happens to me when ever I’m talking about something I’m super passionate about! I start to feel a tightness in my chest like it’s always halfway full and I can’t let out all the air!! You’re doing great and I love these video! I tried making a dev log for a project I had been working on and I could barely compose myself enough to make the video!! So kudos to you for being brave enough to make these videos!!

Awesome video! I love watching videos about upgrading your own old school projects to modern day. A few years ago I updated one of my old school projects and it can be so much fun to do especially with the new skills you learnt! You should remake your game in 3D as well just as a one off video and for a fun test :D

Hey @Zyger ! Idea for thing in it.
Make some background half transparent stars, with physic material and other layer so they bounce off the screen boundaries in the back and it really looks dope by adding a bit more dynamisc to the game.
That was great. I love particle systems in unity. You can really juice things up!

it does if the enemy and player touch each other the player loses a life , the enemy and the player then have an explosion occur on them

Why u initializing variables in awake? u can init them right after writing their names, and btw by adding [serializefield] tag to private variables u can change them directly from inspector

yeh basic movement is key to a good working game. in terms of getting core mechanics done is important.
