      I probably had to force myself to listen through it all like 10x before I started to get it. It's like so u conventional, weird and scary. Never heard anything quite like it. And even now when i hear something pushing the boundaries, it's never as radically or as much originality all at once as that first listen of TDS was. Truly amazing as nd unique

    I remember being psyched when he did the piggy remix, Closer to God and the Becoming on this tour. I had seen him 3x prior on the downward spiral tour alone, and this Bowie/Prick show was after the Closer Single and Further Down, so it was cool to hear new stuff, not just the same set list I had basically seen the last 3times. Although at the Manson shows and Pop Will Eat Itself show I got to see him do the Dead Souls cover.

      +KhasAdun Yeah, it would have to be a catchy bubbly happy lame pop song called 'Closer to you Baby Girl' or some shit like that to get noticed in the retarded fucking world we live in today.

    • @leavinghope1970
      @leavinghope1970 8 лет назад +16

      +KhasAdun I disagree 100%. There's alot more to NIN than one single that was a hit for them. Woodstock 94 and their performance was another example of what made NIN big and definitely made them influential. The first 2 1/2 years NIN toured in support of PHM is another example of what was to come for them. Don't base your opinions on one song, because you're sadly mistaken.

    I´m angry with myself becouse in 1995 I was 15. Perfect age for NIN, I was totally in that horrible state of mind, too much to write it here ... NIN would have helpede me a lot. From the intimity of the album and lyrics to ... Is this the last GREAT band? I´ma fan of Manson too, but it was Reznor imput what maked the so great. I can´t help but think that David Bowie and Lou Reed paid his respects from that young man: Trent Reznor. And he wasn´t an ego maniac, he anted to be his opening band when NIN were the biggest thing. This band took Rock? Whatever a sound that was painful, violent, introspective, sexual ... In a band so charismatic and brutal. One of the best bands in history, and I don´t think I´m a groupie. After Cobain´s suicide Trent was the new ... Jim Morrison? Dark, moody, gloomy, provocative, shy ... I don´t think Trent liked The Doors but I see a connection. The keyboards, and the chamanic show. Trent drives the audience to madness, serial killers, violence ... And end up wit lights, Hurt ... A release of all that dirt. Fuck. A genious, even if I thin that WITH TEETH it´s their last interesting album. Their peak was DOWNARD SPIRAL and their tour.

    So beautiful how Trent looks over & gives a little smile when he sees David Bowie singing his song every now & then-I Love this. I have a better version of this video & audio somewhere but just came across this one today.
    For him to see his idol singing his song must've really touched him & I know that he still looks up to David Bowie-R.I.P literally & figuratively to this day 💜 💜💜💜

    This is a phenomenal performance. I was trying to think of my favorite thing about it and was having a hard time, but I think I have decided on how much the artists have grown as artists since then. Wouldn't it be neat for them to tour together again as more mature artists.

    I don't know if I feel alone with my feelings however I'm just absolutely and utterly grateful for all that Nine Inch Nails Trent Reznor is giving us for free. If you just look hard enough we are actually seeing his process to something more so let's support him through the process not antagonize and beg profusely for the next album. This is Trent Reznor let's not forget it,,, he's processing it's coming,,so are you a fan when it's fair? Or are We FANS for life?!!!! NIN,,,, I believe.,,,in the process.❤❤ #SoakitIn!!!

      Anna Johnson
      ... couldn't agree with you more. Eons ahead of his time...more so now he's a near old man. A staggering conflux of everything from vocals and songcraft and power and not power...he's has and does everything better than anyone other than maybe Prince? And to cap it all he seems like a genuine humanitarianly nice guy. Is that a word? It belongs to TR...the secret genius...he's unknown almost in the U.K. One Direction and Ed Sheeron apparently are better. The sales says they must be. He is a visionary as well...Year Zero! We are blessed with TR. Thank you for the Free music.

      Jamis Billson Here here!! I second that. I heard him in an interview say that he wanted to be an artist that's remembered you're doing everything and not just the guy with the song with the dirty word in it. well I think you and I and most fans can agree that he has done that he has transcended past one sound and gave us just a myriad of all kinds of stuff to put it lightly and he will be that Timeless artist that he thought after the B Bowie Pink Floyd Etc they are Timeless our grandchildren's grandchildren will be listening to Nine Inch Nails just like the artist I mentioned previously I just don't think Trent realizes it yet.

    I third it...will it get to the point of 9ing it! I've always thought of NIN being a musicians band. I am a musician. People cover Hurt a lot without realizing the nature of his voice. John you Cash got away with it because his voice is so off its perfect. TR has a two tone voice which often gets to three tones...whether this is mixing tricks or not. The most underrated voice...apart from Justin Beiber!
