For all high speed lovers!! classes 222 Meridian and some HSTs (class 43) passing at full speed throught Flitwick station (Bedfordshire) plus a class 700 down the slow line, but at full speed too!
Super fast diesel trains!!
Videos filmed during a windy day in October 2017
Enjoy!!!
This is one of those videos where the trains are consistently hitting 125mph! It's glorious!
I wish they could hold this speed for most of the journey, you could certainly get around the UK then.
1:23 2:20 3:06 Those Intercity 125s are still formidable beasts.
Absolutely incredible!! Adding Flitwick to the list for upcoming visits to the MML!
Wow, that Looks so Mind-blowing.. LOVE from 🇮🇳.
My son and i watched here last week yes the are very fast much faster than at Bedford the wind and wake is really strong we watch also at radwell there's no fencing there is near where I live but you have to know how it get there is uphill too so not quite as fast as here going to watch Eurostar when weather warms up
Northbound at Bedford it's 110mph, southbound it's 125mph. Similar speeds to Flitwick, but northbound is slower thanks to signal sight time.
1:59 Class 222 at 200 Mph
125
@@ttvvideos2050 correct ✅
Bring those high speed diesels to the US!!!!
Nope
Yes!
Nope you guys dont deserve it 🤣🤣
America has diesel trains which could potentially be faster than the 43. The brightline train and the charger locomotive, rated for 125? If you let those loose those could beat a HST anyday. It takes 10 hours for a class to reach 100 and another 48 to get to 125...theyre slugs lol
@@wharris302 Pahaha, never! Brightlines trains won't top 135, they're so heavy and just massive things. Keep.dreaming!
Nice video
Just as fast as the Amtrak trains flying by Mansfield!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 such a funny joke
@@user-zt3gd3vb4q uuuuh its true, but neither of these trains are high speed.
Dede Wx “neither of these trains are high speed” mate are you having a laugh?
@@rankedcitizen 200kph isnt high speed, 250-320kph is
Dede Wx compared to modt places in the world that still a high speed
Good fast train video...and for the most part, no zoom was used...that helps.
Specifically, where is Flitwick station in UK, near or between what city/cities??
It's a few km north of London on the MML (Midland Mainline) and just one stop south of Bedford.
Train on point 2:21 goes pew pew pew pew!
FAB!
First train had a wheel flat
Old SWT? What was the 3rd one?
Love fast trains, where does this line start and end?
MML starts at London St Pancras and ends at Sheffield, with a branch to Nottingham.
noice
I know you, you added a comment to that youtuber who made madness at Romford
Question...are these electric or petrol-powered trains? Can't tell definitively because of the darkness.
They're electric the ones flying at 125 as well as the hst's watch for the sparks coming off the photographs of the sparky trains!!!😎
@@justinobrien3593 I didn't see any sparks indicating pantograph-drawn power. That's why I asked if anyone knew otherwise for sure.
Midland mainline on which these trains are running is partially electrified they begin their journey in the north midlands and east midlands where there are no wires so the fast trains going through station are diesel/ electric class 222.
@@grahamburns3091 the only trains on the midland mainline that are electric are 360 and 700
But good video
Wrong. The speed limit on the Midland Mainline south of Beford is 110mph.
camjkerman wrong, south of Bedford line speeds are up to 125mph
Wasn't the line upgraded on the southern section of the mml with speed increases up to 125mph in some places?
Flitwick is 120mph on the Up Fast line and 125mph on the Down Fast line. It's in the Sectional Appendix available on the Network Rail website...
this is what you get when people assume train simulators are accurate!😂
@@mikekirwan5326 lmao dovetail should update the routes, they're so out of date (although i get that's not really possible to do)
By the way, I can't quite tell....are these electric or gas/diesel powered trains?
The East Midlands Trains ones at top speed, the Class 222s and HSTs, are diesel powered. The white Thameslink Class 700s are electric.
Super fast trains run at 300km/h, not 200…
And not along platforms.
Why are most of them 221/220
They are the trains the two main operating company's use
actually the Voyagers here are all class 222s.
@@karlosbricks2413 222s aren't called voyagers
@@karlosbricks2413
They aren't voyagers, the voyagers are 220 and 221s. These are 222 meridians.
There part of the voyeger family but are called meridians due to modifications etc
now Tran
United States has a 165 mph bullet train
we have class 395 javelins that go 180mph plus the eurostars that go even faster
@@ronniemumbattlingislamopho1110 class 395 goes at 140mph
@@nightelectricityuniverse7349 oh
@@nightelectricityuniverse7349 the 395 can go 160mph at max and the class 373/374 is 180mph
@@jfw0382where did u get that info from
Full speed of the hst trains are 150mph
Val Mal the absolute max is 148mph but line speed restrictions make it 125
@@jgrailvids Most people in the US would be satisfied with trains that go 125 mph!
125 mph is not fast at all. i wish the HS2 would be there. Not east midlands trains.
HST goes 125 mph aswell
Nice video
