*backpack falls off*
"...oh for f*cks sake..."

I’m language sensitive but that part got me laughing.
use cement on its joint, my uraven also, use cement will be tight.
*rg Sinanju flashbacks*
The core gundam is something I will always love and its function of changing modes through different armor is fun and awsome as hell.
I think it's something up with your version of the kit. The one I have is a little delicate, but yours is insane. I'm guessing the bent beam saber is a sign something may have happened from the factory. However, yeah it is a little looser than I'd like, but not that insane
Core gundam 1 still the flawless little one in my heart
Edit : if only bandai fixed core gundam 2 waist
Just put glue on the ball joint. If that doesn't work, put a little more glue and re attach it /before/ it dries
It's actually an easy fix. Based on my experience the issue on the waist is due to the polycaps included in the Core 2 gundam kits, which is a common problem also found in some other HGs still using polycaps (mold degradation maybe). Aside from gluing the waist joint, replacing the polycap ball joint with spares from other HGs (preferrably older ones) works 95% of the time. This issue on polycaps could very well be the reason why Bandai is starting to steer away from using them in newer HG kits
@@OtherMomo yeah i do that too but since the core gundam 1 are such a perfect kit for me, the flaw in core gundam 2 kinda disappoint
The hands are kinda trashy
I leave a little bit of extra plastic on the Polycarp when cutting it out, which seems to help
Kinda sucks that Core 2, which is supposed to be like a upgraded version of Core Gundam got this much lazy put into it. As a fan if this gundam and its other incarnations, this hurts Bandai sort of bastardized something that has been so simple 😢
bandai bastardizing something to milk it for more money is like their signature move
So sad but so true
i think the team and mecha designer for the 2nd build divers season was not involved and another team did the short metaverse with the 2nd build divers assets with little effort...
6:03 The ball joint in Core Gundam II can be fixed by replacing it with a spare ball joint from Core Gundam I. I have done it for Uraven & Nepteight zero problems with waist joints after.
Same i just super glue mine to make it solid
I did the same with mine. Something about those polycaps held better for some reason lol
🙏 thank you for the info! I favor the core Mk II
@MechaGaikotsu if u don't like core 2 you could swap it out with core 1 just the parts that need stability. To tell you the truth I nicknamed all my core Gundam Halfamind/fall apart after 2 cartoon characters Fall apart from Bonkers A stunt rabbit who hence his name is like glass and Halfamind from a rare unseen show Stunt dawgs. A bad guy who has the same problem. I think those plunine armaments have potential the one time I would use superglue on them(as long as it does not affect transformation) titan core mk2 colors would look better than the purple.
@@dareyoutomove6 idk why the quality of a polycap could be so bad between the first to second gen core gundam
I had pretty similar problems with the Uraven Gundam. Waist, backpack and shoulders are all the loosest connections I've ever experienced on a kit.
I find it weird. I recently got the Uraven and it felt really solid for me.
It's weird for me because all my Core Gundam variations are fine. The Uraven Gundam comes out really janky on the waist but easy to fix and other variants of my Core Gundam II don't have it nearly as bad. While the Plutine is a Plastic hand grenade even in just the Core Gundam Mode. Honestly I'm wondering what the Hell Bandai was thinking with this one other than a really cheap nostalgia grab for the Metaverse Anime. One that was probably there to get rid of random residual plastic using the Core Gundam Mold. Why it's not even a full Ecopla is beyond me.
Mine also has these problems, right shoulder armor loose af and the core gundam's shield that attached to the back also loose as hell😢
Juging from all the comments, I'm quite happy that I added clear nail polish on the ball joint in my Core Gundam 2's waist. Now the connection is secure and it doesn't feel janky anymore.
There should be a plastic hand grenade tier and it should be called the " RG Sinanjuu Tier".
And the badge should be the martyrdom achievement badge from the cod meme
Rg sianju tier is better than hg Tristan Tier 🗿
@@TheAshlight41 The HG Tristan is a curse to builders. It's taken out professional builders with how frustrating it can be, and caused a broken wrist even in one extreme case. XD
@@kivulifenrir
Summary,
Rg sinanju tier : lowest tier that explode at touch.
Hg Tristan tier : cursed tier that should never exist🗿
@@TheAshlight41Imma drop a hot take and say the Tristan isn’t that bad. It’s a sturdy kit with outdated engineering.
You got me laughing so hard when that kit just fell apart on you. That was priceless.
I personally haven’t had much issue with the core II, I don’t have the Plutine yet I hope to get my pre order in soon, but the only one I had real issues with was the Saturnix armor. The shoulder and forearm armor wouldn’t stay on, easy fixes but my Uraven was great no real issues beside the shield conversion the kit itself was solid, but I did find a different poly cap to replace the ones in the torso so that could add to it
My friend has gotten into Gundam recently and I was a little bit curious but didnt know where to start. I attended Megacon just a week ago and the Gundam base was there with Plutine Gundam on the shelf with many others. Bought it on a whim cause it stuck out to me and building it was alot of fun but I do agree. It is real finicky and sensitive when messing with it but it’ll hold a special place in my heart as it opened the door for me into gunpla building!
mecha gaikotsu: ranting on the loose joint
daban builder: first time? 😆😆
I remember all the core gundams falling apart on me all the time. I had to glue all the armor bits on and on the waist ball joint on all of them to strengthen them and make them stronger so they dont fall into halves haha
I remember the Uraven Gundam being the kit that completely killed my desire to ever build another core gundam variation, and all the issues with loose parts all over that this kit has too are the exact reason why
Sucks cause Uraven looks so good.
MG Victory : explodes when you look at it
HG Plutine : explodes before being assembled
Purple guy gundam 🗿
7:36 while p bandai and a variant, Neos windam had purple Beam saber hilts.
I liked to use green sabers for those
MG Unicorn has a competition from being a hand grenade now 💀
Great to know, but what if bandai makes a zaku2-core MS? Core gundam type zeon? Hiroto surely could have inspired others!
Yes a Zeon Core with Zaku, Gouf and such armor
wouldve been neat to see you try and attach the armor onto one of the original core gundam 2s to see if it makes it any better
Great video as always
I am going to buy the Plutine just to finish the collection
Would these parts work with OG core Gundam ? Seems like this kit needs more than just a redesign.
all planetary armours works on Core, Core II, and Alus gundams
Weirdly enough, my core 1 earthtree armor disintegrates from just the air. I think maybe mine is an anomaly.
And then there's my core Gundam 1 which for some odd reason had the peg that connects the beam saber to the backpack too tight that it broke, now he's forever holding his blade nowhere to store it
i like how his accent gets noticeable when he gets pissy
I found out a good solution to the loose polycaps for the waist and torso!!! If you collected the other Core Gundams of the Planet System Series, you can actually use the spare Polycaps from those kits instead so this Core Gundam will NOT fall apart on you!
Even with all of these cons of this kit I would still buy it just for display
"Look how they massacred my boy."
I have the Core Gundam I from the MarsFour and the Titan's color Core II. My Core I falls apart at the waist all the time, but the Core II is sturdy AF.
You put that Arwing backpack on, and the kit does a barrel roll!
Core Imperialdramon Gundam 😋
Have you ever thought of using canned air spray to clean your gunpla before filming to get rid of the extra plastic bits ?
"Plutine Gundam! Finally!!!" Awesome, hey Mecha? A few years ago, I saw someone fix the waist of the Core Gundam II using some piece of the Core Gundam runner. It wasn't a piece per say, I can't exactly remember it, but I think the guy just cut a weird part of the runner to use it on the CG II waist. I THINK the name of the video was "I fixed the Core Gundam II", would love to see your commentary about that.
Possible causes for the loose joint tolerance :
1. Mold degradation
2. Materials
I've heard a lot of people say it's the materials. The issues with EcoPla just end up compounded through everything there as other say with a chunk of variation in the material compared to the rest. Honestly, of the special materials, the only one that was really interesting to me was the Limex ones, and they only made 2 models with it in a version of their dinosaur line...and I really wish they'd make some more because those two were fun to build
But, of the 4 different Core Gundams, the Core Gundam 2 already had a few issues compared to the others.
My favorite of the bunch is the Rizing Core Gundam...which, unfortunately, is a P-Bandai only one
@@AzraelThanatos Limex mix was too brittle, while Ecopla mix is probably messing up the rigidity/pliability. The thing about compounding plastic materials is that the risk of the compound having different, unsatisfactory properties than before is pretty high.
@@alfianfahmi5430 Limex was great for the dinosaur models, which I'd love more of...it's just that for anything that isn't organic looking, it isn't that good
@@AzraelThanatos Limex compound indeed had a nice texture, which is why it's only good for display purpose, not durable enough for high-stress conditions like on joints etc. Armor piece with Limex plastic? Sure, it can be possible. Just make sure that the Limex pieces wouldn't flex/move too much.
Yes! We finally got a Pluto Nine armor for the Core Gundam II!
So with the Deathscythe Hell influences here, I’m actually interested in a potential new armor kit that doesn’t technically exist: the Nemesis Ten, or Nemeten Armor. Sunrise, Bandai, make it happen! Maybe a potential Core Gundam mk III? Hm? Oh, I got it!! Sol Zero, or Solzero!
This is my kind of comment
say, if the Nemeten armor would be based off an existing suit for all-purpose/high destruction purposes, maybe it would be based on a final boss-type suit like Sazabi, Sinanju, or Strike Noir? does that sound plausible or a fun idea?@@adriflux7704
if you want to make the parts not to fall apart you should add paper, but since paper slowly breaks the pieces you should maybe use some glue on the pieces where you put the joints in but dont glue the joints, just wait until the glue dries on the pieces and it will i think give more solid for the joints to stick on. i hope this helps!
As much as I love the look of Core 2, it has always been flimsy for me. The less on the top half, the better.
Barney-Core the reaper! Purple with those green accents!
That’s actually a pretty cool design, but the box looks wayyyyyy way better than the kit
i love the core line and have 3, and 2 of the extra, sold separately armors. THIS, this is heart breaking to see
Hi could you please tell me were you got your simple stands from. I have looked on the UK amazon and ebay and they seam very expensive.
Rg Sinanju: hey Plutine! Welcome to the Gang Hey Mg Victory and the rest of you welcome our new Member!
I though that pieces falling on the core gundams different armors was "normal". Ive got them all and each set is untouchable out of the box.
If witch from mercury was the gift that kept on giving, build metaverse is the grinch that keeps ruining christmas
Is this core gundam color based on eva unit 1?
I couldn't stop laughing throughout this when it kept falling apart! lmao! 🤣
And this is why Pluto is no longer part of the Solar System.
That's a really nice head sculpt
A modern plastic handgranade did not know that they made those again
just a joke
I have 90s kits that fit a feel better then this trash
I love how he put the Plutine's shoulders on backwards initially.
Honestly should do more since we have so many more planets being discovered and new solar systems that a new core gundam will be a must.
-You also reviewed the sold separately Core Gundam G-3 colors and Titans colors, making this the 11th time
-If you count the 2 versions of Re:Rising Gundam where you had to use Core Gundams, this is the 13th time.
-If you count the Anima Rize Core Gundam, this is the 14th time
-If you count the Alus Core Gundam, this is the 15th time.
-If you count the clear Core Gundam armor parts in the Anima Rize box, this is the 16th time.
none of my core gundam kits are so loose like yours. it gottah be bad luck at that point with the quality control
im hoping that because they made this guy. maybe they will give us the other two Alus Gundams soon cause i really wanted those
we love grape gundam in this house
Well on the bright side it's not RG Sinanju hand grenade levels
While it's pretty cool that ecopla are recycled plastic to be environmentally friendly, I've heard a bit of bad review about it. Something about it being brittle, breaks easily and doesn't age well
Kinda curious, is it feels janky because it's using Eco-Pla, or it has nothing to do with it?
It seems all the jank areas are parts that aren't in that ecopla black, so I say it's pretty unlikely.
Could be irrelevant to that, the waist issues have to do with the polycaps. Since the mold is reused so often for high grades there’s bound to be fitting issues at some point with older mold casings. The fitting issues of some of the armor I don’t know could just be wear since it was used for the all the armors for the previous core Gundams. Honestly the ecopla could play into that but I just don’t know
@@ToxicAtom I see. Fair point.
@@MechaMeister6511 Yeah, just want to make sure. I know the waist part definitely has nothing to do with it, I just fear that the feels on the Armor or some of the part can easily fell off from the Armor has something to do with the Ecopla. Hope I was wrong though, as Ecopla is a good concept by itself.
Nah because Ecopla kits are very tight especially the SRW kits
I think you may just be out of the honeymoon phase with Core Gundam, this is pretty much my experience with all of the Core kits.
I've built this kit and yea, those standard Core Gundam 2 problems are defo there. The other parts of the kit do cause a good amount of problems as well. While in my experience they dont seem nearly as bad as Mecha's they are still there. But I've been tightening joints as I go and its honestly not too much extra effort and fixes A LOT of the problems, so I'd say that the rating on this one is pretty accurate.
Think I'll buy it to continue the line of planet change.
..... Plutine Gundam needs some 30MM joints. Also, Core Gundam Rise II when?! XD
If they had design added a beam effect part to it. It would had been more awesome
Now the Solar System has been set!
Recommended Video for you to Try: Try making your own Extra Limited form out of all the Planetary Armour, which includes Earthree and Plutine Armour. Bet you it will look better like the original Extra Limited Armour
I had a similar issue with my Uraven Gundam when I originally built it. Since then I've gone and invested in Gunprimers joint guard. They r a godsend when it comes to most loose joints that I've dealt with. Especially when it comes to the IBO kits. They're simple to use and cheap as well. They could probably at least help at least temporarily remedy the issue with it being floppy
This new Plutnine gundam has that Deathscythe feel to it
Let me Guess earthree like force impulse
Forbidden Gundam says he has been forgotten. 😅
@@kamenriderovant9676 underrated 🙂
I want a Poutine Gundam.
Honestly, not hard to fix if you just tighten the kit that it becomes a non issue at that point.
9:50 if you want to see the ultimate irish rage.
@05:52
Aside from the Backpack Thruster missing or popped out during review-
The Shoulder Armors were connected in the wrong way, respectively-
The ones with the connectors for the Uraven Gundam’s Scope Bits should be at the back and not facing front🙏
But for the sake of customizations- totes rad Senpai😁😎
Man this review is funny af, i remember the days when i used to build 1/100 scale gundams (CE), they were janky as this guy too.
The core Gundam 2 has the face of kyrios
Should see if it fits better on one of the older core gundams
I'm glad to feel seen by this. YES this thing is trash.
I haven't built many gunpla, but this one had me about ready to throw it in the trash. I tried to do a bit of panel lining but got so sick of it that I cleaned up my panel lining mess, then threw it all back in a box (it's "assembled" but I'm not posing it). I may glue it together one day. I touch something wrong, it falls off, I hold it wrong while reassembling, something else falls off. Seriously, the waist falls off, the right hand falls off (at the connection from the extended black wrist to the purple), the pauldrons with the claws slip at the wrong angle. And geuinely don't get me started on the backpack. It falls off, the big angular piece on it will fall off as a result. The waist is atrocious and should just be glued outright imo, better than dealing with it, not like it has much range of motion anyways.
Is the rest of this series supposed to be good? Because I just buy gunpla based off looks for the most part, but this one nearly has me deadset on swearing off anything affiliated with it. I also just didn't think the build was that fun. The transformation ability was not worth the cost, I wish it was permanently in the full form, with better connections.
Not sure what people are saying about yours being extra bad. I can't figure out how the backpack could ever have a good connection, it's very awkward at best and never even appears secure.
"This thing is allergic to itself" 💀💀💀
I’ve never had a problem with any core gundam and I’ve built 6 or 7 of them, I hope when I get this one it’s not garbage
Always love your lighting! Would love to see a video on your set up!
ehh my Core Gundam II (and related PLANETS armours) were always a lot more jank than my OG Core Gundam stuff
Got this kit for my birthday and just finished building the core unit
So far I had a good time with Plutine but I'll admit the waist sections was very very weak so I used super glue on the ball joint and surrounding area below and he's chilling now 😊 I don't intend to mess around with it once finished so didn't mind using the glues 🫡
There's not enough glue in the world to fix that
My kid and I built the Uraven Gundam and this is pretty much my experience with that kit too. The core Gundam is ok but the armor falls apart if you look at it funny.
Hello, I come back here after build it and move it around, my plutine are mostly in place, the shield falls off from backpack is a normal problem from core II (but I remember that they fixed it in titan and G-3 color ver. so why are it here again 🤔), the waist might be the new problem in this kit because my plutine's waist are very loose too, other than that is probably random in all boxes but from what I see from your plutine, the legs' side blades aren't push in enough so when it got hit a little bit it come off easily (and I see you didn't even use any force to push it in in the video!), the shoulders, arms, wrist armors are loose because you didn't keep it tight while moving it around so it getting loose over time (all armors problem especially planet system II)
Man I was looking forward to this one for the colors but I can't stand kits with loose elements. Might end up waiting till I happen on with with extra money
I don't think Mecha got a bad kit. My Plutine also got that loose waist. Same with the Core Gundam 2 from my Uraven and the G3 and Titans colors. The hole where the waist polycap joints must be too wide or there's no friction in them. After thickening the ball joints by a little bit, no more splitting waist
My Uraven kit felt loose in certain joints, including the arms falling off. Super glue around the joints helped it out, so I'm guessing it'll work with this kit.
Glue in the waist ball fixes the whole problem also glue is the best way to fix pieces falling off all the time
looks like it was a blessing that it all sold out here in Japan when I was about to buy it 😅
"this thing is allergic to itself" really reminds me of myself 🥲 i am completely sold lmao 🤣👍
Hey at least it looks cool. Form over functionality😅
Best thing you can do is if you have Core Gundam 1, just paint it and use the Plutine armors on it
got this kit today.. they are some part are loose like the waist but not as much worsts than what you have experience.
Yeah wen build divers rr was out i was so stoked about the idea of the core gundam like an enhanced strike gundam, and i was torn between jupitive (beams + full burnern) and uraven (transform + sniper). I ended up going for the uraven and fake nu packs, only to find out that
1. The shoulders are loose as heck
2. The ankle joints are so wobbly
3. The arn joints got loose within a week of building
4. The bits on the shoulders were so loose
5. The transformation was kinda mid
This on top of the aegis knight running the same “too loose too fast” led me to dislike build divers rerise in terms of model kits, and i think the OG build fighters was peak (i have gm sniper k9 and i love it)
Im also planning to get a HG Exia Dark Matter for a custom (enhanced paint + matt or gloss + seamline fix + waist fix), but does anyone know the best way for fixing the limited HG Exia waist and upper leg joint?
Still my fav core gundam marsfour
I can’t tell you how many coats of paint I had to put on the ball joints in the waist of ALL of my Core II kits to stop that loose fitting problem. The only one I don’t recall having this issue with was the Titans color one. Honestly still hoping to purchase this kit, but may slap it on my titans one and leave the purple core gundam crying in the corner of the shelf
im going to be honest the only time i dislike a kit is if it breaks easy of relies on alot of stickers. otherwise lose parts is not a big deal for me
I love core gundam, so.... pain peko for this
its because they called it metaverse
just had to suck it was in the zuck cards
So far the only ones not so disappointing to me is Exceed Strike, Shin Burning, and F Kunoichi kai.
Couldn't care less about Hiroto Core Gundam variants. I want more of Alus armors!! Where's Reverse Turn X and Dubious Arche?!!
All of my Core Gundam 2s have issues with that shield on the back of the combined forms.
Looks like imma have to put some elbow grease on my kit. Attach some 0.01 plaban and sand them down some more for extra security on the pointy bits that attach to the side of the legs, give that waste a rubber coating so that it adheres more and tighten up those joints with some good ol' putty.
Not a fan of the Purple tbh.
