I feel the same way. Although, I think they (Jeff and the camera team) were looking for a soundbite and instead got a drawn-out response akin to one of Mr. Shatner's live one-man shows. So the poor guy's standing there trying to articulate the profoundness in a deeply emotional state; meanwhile, the rest of the young team is celebrating and choosing to compartmentalize those feelings until later. Perhaps it says something about our generation, or perhaps it simply wasn't the venue for that kind of profundity. Either way, I get it. A classic awkward moment on all sides for sure.

I beleive Gene Roddenberry , who flew over 80 combat missions during World War II ,was read into some top secret projects, because its not possible to get so many things so right.
Really sad to find out David Spade has been sending racially hateful DMs to people on Instagram. Been a huge fan since Joe Dirt and it's sad to see horrible slurs coming from someone I thought was better than that.
