Honestly love that it looks like they're not even taking themselves seriously at this point. Just looks like a really fun shark movie.
A serious tone obviously would not work for this movie. This is just a dumb, turn your brain off to type movie and the creators know it. They're self aware
that's the reason why I'm going to watch, it's total bullshhttt but I love it.
It's a nice reprieve from the "woke" and just downright shhhtttyy or boring movies we've been getting recently.
Like a big budget sharknado movie but without the nado part..
They didn’t use a serious tone in the first movie either. Which is why it grossed north of $500 million worldwide.
Personally I wish they would have stuck closer to the book. Angel still caused massive chaos, but the drama in the trench would have been awesome to see if done right.
Of the three Megs they’ve seen that’s the biggest Meg they’ve ever seen!
I Wasn't Expected I Thought It Was only 2 Megs 0_0;

It's another The Meg!

Cant wait for your video on it. Love you guys!
I just watched this movie a few days ago, and I'm not even gonna lie; I never thought I needed this much camp until this movie came out. This was the most stupid fun I've ever had in a long time. It was so funny, action-packed, and fun, and I mean all of that in the stupidest, but best way possible. I loved every second of it. We really need more movies like this, movies that don't take themselves seriously, are stupid, and just an absolutely blast.
I thought it wouldn't be as good as first but its a comedy?

Movies that make you forget reality are masterpieces no matter the critic scores. If you enjoyed your adventure thats all that really matters.
@@Rexcelotyes exactly. I’ve always noticed that when a movie is overall enjoyed by the viewers, the critics score is almost always way lower. It’s like they nitpick at every little thing. They find things to hate instead of just enjoying the movie.

The resounding drums, triumphant brass, and sweeping strings of epic music inject movie trailers with a profoundly thrilling ambience. This style of bold, operatic composition brings an unmatched sense of grandeur. The full symphonic sound washes over you, instant goosebumps as that exhilarating melody unfurls. No words are needed to feel the mood - whether tensions simmering into war cries or heroes rising against the odds to turn the tide. The music amplifies the high stakes hinted onscreen into palpable excitement. These epic anthems punctuate trailers with exclamation points, ensuring the adventure ahead leaves an indelible impression whether it features clashing armies or character-driven drama. The marriage of epic music's unrelenting crescendo and carefully edited visuals forms a siren song, drawing us right into imagined new worlds brimming with action, emotion and spectacle. Who can resist such powerful musical storytelling, the ultimate appetizer promising grand purpose behind these tales? We have those ingenious sound composers to thank for trailers that spark such strong senses of destiny through their triumphant symphonic suites alone - our hearts quicken and imaginations ignite.

Films like these should continue to exist. It's not suppose to be taken seriously, just a summer movie to appreciate the fictional world of summer movie blockbuster mindset. You go to these to escape everyday mundane life, and eat popcorn together. Plus, the staff that worked on this film get to test out there skills for later projects that will require a more serious tone in a non-mega film. It's important to "Let loose" from time to time.
If they are going to keep following the book series, then I would like at least one of the movies for this series to be serious. But other than that, I am here for the series.
*non meg film
There absolutely is a place for films where you sit down, turn off your brain, enjoy a few hours of mindless fun and at the end forget 90% of movie.
@@J4M3ST1T3 it's not a mindless movie, just a fun blockbuster to unwind and enjoy.
@@Theonetrueerenyeager I use the term to mean a film that you don't have to put any thought into, something you can just enjoy for what it is. When I say this, there are no negative connotations directed at it. I am talking about the general genre of film that is simple in its premise. You won't be spending time discussing the finer points of the plot or dissecting it for hidden meaning.
I think that after this movie Jason Statham will be able to breath in SPACE and swim inside a burning volcano :) lol

Deep blue sea from 1999 is best shark movie ever.
Audiences don’t always need movies with deep meanings or complex characters. Sometimes they need a cool, summer blockbuster that doesn’t take itself too seriously but is still fun to watch
That what the Meg book series are for
And then it's going to be forgotten, just like many recent blockbusters, modern songs and junk food, they are made to sell fast, Hollywood doesn't care if you remember a movie after years even if there are cases.

@@nasifshah5691 The old 1995 movie Waterworld is still remembered, and that was a summer blockbuster movie, so why do you think this movie wouldn't be remembered as well?
To those that were not expecting a sequel, The Meg series is based on a book, just like Jaws and Jurassic Park are. Although not many people know that the first Jaws movie was based on a book by Peter Benchley. The Meg books, written by Steve Alten, have 8 sequels so far. The next one is called Meg: Purgatory, which should be released this year or next year. This one is based on "The Trench" which was published in 1999.
Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror (The Meg movie is based on this book) (Book released in 1997, movie released in 2018)
The Trench (Meg 2: The Trench is based on this book) (Book released in 1999, movie will be released this year)
Meg: Primal Waters (The next movie after this one will obviously be called Meg 3: Primal Waters) (Released in 2004)
Meg: Hell's Aquarium (Meg 4: Hell's Aquarium, what else would the movie be called?) (2009)
Meg: Origins (I doubt this one will be made into a movie, it is a prequel story about Jonas Taylor's first encounter with the megalodon a few years before the first book that led up to his alleged psychosis) (2011)
Meg: Nightstalkers (2016)
Meg: Generations (The most recent sequel for now) (2020)

Statham explained to the film makers what they did with Fast and the Furious. Started off kind of serious with some over the top parts and then they embraced the wacky and made billions. Worked for them, so gonna try it with Meg
As a side note, I just made all that up so don't think I'm being serious lol
@@ChaseSchleich You have issues
I am an old lady who loves big action movies. The soundtrack is going to sweep me along even through the outlandishness. Can hardly wait! 🦈
You like big action huh? Soundtrack def got me thru the trailer haha classic
Me too. Glad to know there's another out there.
Big action means you like monster adventure movies?
@@onidoremc9490 for me liking action means... i like action. whichhhh is probably why i chose to use the words that meant the same as the point i was trying to convey. I fail to see how action movies with monsters are more or less "actiony" than action movies without monsters, therefore I fail to see why the inclusion or exclusion of said monsters is relevant here.
Damn right Karen
Amo esse tipo de filme, sem piscar do início ao fim!!!
It was much better than I expected.
Honestly, I was so disappointed at first that Li bingbing wouldn’t be returning for the second movie. Also, I thought the idea of the dinosaurs being in the Meg was bad.
It actually turned out much better than I expected. It wasn’t scary but it was very intense and some funny moments as well. I think it’s almost as good as the first one if not, equal.
I rate it a 7/10.
2:29 Give the Oscar to the special effect team lol
Give an Oscar to the camera man
The Giant Octopus has returned
@@Cyberraptor14 OR IS IT THE KRAKEN
Him driving the waterjet with a Katana had me rolling. This looks like it's going to be just a crazy action movie and I am 100% here for it.
Yup, that’s exactly what I was looking for. I now know that I needed this in my life.
That.... That not a katana... Not even close 💀
Jason Statham's character Probably wasted precious few seconds that could save a life again
Um dos melhores filmes que já vi ! Ansioso pelo 2
I love movies like this. No serious lore, they just have fun with it.
Actually, they go pretty far into the lore, just keeping it closer to fiction than to science
ouch, it hurts my eyes, though I find it exciting
A fun movie does not mean it should also be a brainless one.. to have fun watching this you do need to leave your brain at home though..
I saw it last night and it was absolutely horrible by any standard. It made me laugh to be sure as it was one the worst movies I ever paid to see in a theater. I liked the first Meg movie, this one was an atrocity.
It wasn’t fun lol
This was the best direction they could've gone. The books these movies are based off of are super serious and mostly entertaining. This is just pure fun.
you must be braindead.
oh will you people stop gushing over this. its not "pure fun", its just trash.
@@downtowntrain2319 everyone has their own opinion.
@@downtowntrain2319 Not every movie needs to be serious with a hidden message.
@@downtowntrain2319 Stop thinking your opinion decides everything
I finally got to watch it, it was sooo good!
Melhor Filme de Todos os Tempos...!!!
Vale a Pena Assistir...!!!
Jason Statham never fails to entertain his audience with fun movies. You can count on his movies being somewhat corny, humorous, action-packed, not too vulgar, and no full frontal nudity.
Ever seen crank? Lol
@@blakethompson8711he’s obviously never seen crank💀
I heard he goes full frontal in this one
No one tell this gentle soul about *High Voltage*

There's no way I'm gonna miss this fantastic movie, this trailer looks like the movie is gonna be really fun like the 1st movie.
whats it like having 7 active braincells?
@@karllhungus2681 i’d 4 at best
Why fun is a good movie right
@@karllhungus2681 What’s it like to not have _one_ braincell, active or not, in two combined to undestand that - just like the (ridiculous over-the-top fun) Meg movies - is just a fun joke comment not to be taken seriously?
This looks so bad I know I'll love it.
