I usually don't like high pitched music/songs but opera songs are exceptional. Those hight notes are pleasant to the ears and the sound that the piano makes #eargasm
I love how Pappano is having so much fun playing this aria! In fact it matches perfectly with the spirit of this music. Also, impecable soprano! Bravo!!
This was organised during the COVID lockdown expressly to allow young artists to keep singing and cheer us all up. Pappano was a rock for the young artists when they needed it the most.
Absolutely lovely I love Louise’s voice and she is one of the most outstanding English sopranos today I really hope she gets to sing this when the new production of Alcina is unveiled later this year.
There are a number of administrators and artists that have shone like beacons in defence of British music during this pandemic. Pappano is one, the other that springs to mind is Gilhooly at the Wigmore Hall.

The coloraturas are what singers battle in Handels song. And In that sense that bae rona dont have a good coloratura. No offense tho just saying

In the Bärenreiter Urtext edition, it’s “spene”. So I would say it is correct, especially since you can find it in the dictionary.
