BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO HIS WIFE, SHE IS VERY PROUD OF HIM.
I was lucky enough to be at his last tour. When he announced he was going to perform this song in Birmingham, 30% of the audience got up and left while he was singing. I was so shocked, it was soooo rude. They clearly only cared about his comedy and weren't interested in giving him the respect at the end of his show. Still shocked me that people were filing out while he sang this beautiful song. I remember crying all the way through because it was just so overwhelmingly lovely and I was so grateful that I'd got to see him live. We love you so much Lee!

I met & spoke with Lee after a particular Monsters show in Manchester.
All I can say is Lee, you are a very special, warm, unique & humble individual. I will never ever forget the time you spent with me chatting, I will never ever forget what you said in our conversation. You might recall me saying you're absolutely not the p___ you have been made to think?
You left a impression that I have not encountered before & to this day I hold it with found memories. On top of the special human being you are, you're also the funniest man, stand up & actor I have ever watched live, on tv or in any way.
I have followed you right through your career & I was there when you announced your retirement.
It's no wonder you get a standing ovation after each & every show, the audience loves you, you're a very very special guy indeed. All the very very best to you Mr Lee Evans.

Saw him at Monsters 2014, 02 London with my sister and cousin. Lee truly is a stone cold legend! Been watching his comedy since late 90s, have the boxset of 1994-2005 and all the other tours he's done on dvd. Seen his sitcom So What Now along with his early work on C4. He retired at the top, I was brought back here cos I wanted to dedicate this to my girlfriend. What a song!

You must be from outside the uk? Hes a fucking legend in the UK - he retired at the top of his game, he had the UK in the palm of his hand and then retired and pretty much went off grid. His manager died a year before he retired, and he didnt spend a lot of time with his family due to touring - ive always said if he comes back it will be when his kids have grown up and fled the nest, if not then, then he wont be back at all 🙌

one of the uks finest comedians to ever grace the stage first started watching lee around 2008/2009 id say when i was at college remember watching hes xl tour in my horticultor course i was doing at the time but didnt know much about him then and saw him couple times on tv with comedy central think it was here in the uk and then when he did monsters i was lucky enough to get a ticket with my mate to the manchester show he did on the tour and omg you have never laughed so much in one night the entrance he did was amazing the amount of energy he put in each show was truly amazing dont know how he did it i couldnt do that no wonder he got a standing ovation after each show and what a brilliant tribute that song was to hes wife hes so talented on piano and guitar she must be one very lucky lady to have a man like lee and living on cloud 9 really wish lee would do one last tour when covid and lockdown is over especially the year 2020 weve had we could use a bit of lee on tv again to cheer us up but if not then lee truly deserves the retirement hes having right now and wish him many happy memories to come with hes wife and family

You can tell this song is for his wife. I saw Lee live in Manchester & couldn't stop laughing from start to finish, he put 100% in every performance. He should be knighted for everything he's done for comedy.

The amount of love this man received an gave is astonishing, I went to see him for monsters and was beyond upset he retired, but I'm so glad he did, he retired for himself and his family, he left on a high after forging the way for other comedians. He is a comedy god. He is the Elvis of comedy an will always be that.

I love Lee.. After reading qnd listening to his book he read. So much love and respect. Fromnhis feelings to a truck load of dying animals to losing his check and flipping out and his wife laughing and calming him down.. . Dude is an inspiration.
