Saw Lee live in a small theatre in Birmingham back in 1993 - we howled with laughter from the opening line: "Anybody ever had an imaginary friend at school? I did - they were real people - I just imagined they were my friends".
Hahahaha, that’s a really good one
thats so lee XD
I saw one of them grab amusement machines being delivered to the arcade and they where just getting it off the back of the lorry when they dropped it ! 😂
This is heartbreaking in so many ways. Lost years realised after the loss of a life, but he’s a man of his word - and a good man at that. So humble and full of humility, the best comedian there is.
Thanks for your great comment.
Agreed with you ! He is a good-humble man not money oriented!!
Sometimes in everyone’s life you need a time for self.
Just the best
I always play lee evans to my patients at work who suffer with dementia and brain injuries and hand on heart.. Lee gives them so much laughter, they will literally watch from start to finish and just be laughing continuously.
Lee if you're reading this, I just want you to know, you're a god send and we're so blessed to have you in our lives. You touch the hearts of so many people. God bless!
Lovely 😁
Lee Evans has made me laugh more than ANY other comedian has EVER, and I NEVER EVER thought he would EVER get me emotional with his words, but when he was talking about his manager (R.I.P) and he said his manager would always say to him "Don't worry, I'll look after you", that proper got me man and I know that hurt
Bless you Lee, you're a proper diamond geezer mate...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
First laid eyes on this legend as a thirteen year old an still remember wiping the tears of laughter away then finally got to watch him live on the XL tour and monsters tour an after all these years I can honestly say what a top down to earth geezer he really is god bless you lee
He’s sooooo cute! Such a big ball of energy, he’s too precious for this world…
What a lovely heart felt interview.
You can see the sadness of lost years there. I know this from experience. Much love Lee from Lee
Love him so much, he’s a legend ❤️❤️
Always been a massive fan of Lee Evans such a legend. Such a very humble and down to earth guy. I had the honour of going to see him at the o2 and still remains the best comedian in my book. I was crying with laughter from start to finish. After the show ended he came back on stage to shake hands with people in the crowd. He stayed for a very long time. Shame he is stopping but hats off to him. He deserves a break. True top guy.... Best wishes to you Lee
Just think how we are lucky enough to have lived during this man's time. He is my absolute inspiration in life. Thank Lee..... thank you for just being you ❤️
Proud to say I was there at Lee's last show in Cardiff 30th November 2014, was an emotional evening and after all the times I've seen him I finally got to shake his hand.
Lee Evans has always made me laugh. Best wishes to you Lee, you are a legend
Thank you for all the laughs! From the bottom of my heart I wish you all the best Lee.
I was there at lees XL tour and my ribs still hurt 17 years later.
Living legend. Do you think them chips are fattening?? 🤣🤣 im dead.
Thank you Jonathan, you’re a really good bloke….he meant every word. How humble is he? 🙏🏻
100% love this guy, and he told the truth.. you meet him in the street he is just a joy to chat too. Polite, funny and always gives himself generously to those that recognise him. I was lucky to live near Lee for many years in his hometown. I had the pleaseure of meeting him out shopping, and it is a memory I will cherish for ever. Had me in stitches.... I wish Lee a happy retirement.
I’ve followed Lee for all of his time in the spotlight, even at a time before the spotlight and he hasn’t changed a bit.
The only thing he has changed is the swearing and that is due to comedy being more effective with modern audiences when there’s swearing and the times have changed.
From his early days doing stand up to his movie role in the Jackie Chan film The Medallion he is a comedy legend in the exact same vein of Sir Norman Wisdom. As with Sir Norman, when (and I hope for for many, many years to come) I hear of Lee’s passing I will drink a toast, shed a tear and remember one of the greatest comedians of our time.
A gentle soul and what a lucky wife
That went from a beautifully manic , clever and funny man to the real personna. Every thing about Lee is amazing, what an amazing and inspirational man, Legend
What an absolute gentleman!
What genuinely sincere guy. You can tell he LOVES his wife. God bless Lee! You've made us laugh so much. Thank you for every tear of laughter!
That’s really really nice how genuine that was
You have made the right decision Lee. Time to relax and enjoy life with your family.❤️🌺
I wish he would come back. We need his light and laughter more than ever now
Such a lovely down to earth man with comedy that will be relatable for years and years and years, honestly the best comedian out there, its a bitter sweet thing i was sad to see he wasn’t doing anymore but happy hes taking time out to enjoy with family and have a good earned rest, much love lee ❤️❤️❤️
Took my sons to see Lee when they were 11 and 14, told them not to tell their mum. They are 29 and 26 now and still remember crying with laughter. What a legend, enjoy your retirement mate.
Lee, your the best mate and loved you from the start. You are one of the best comedians in the WORLD.... God bless you brother and stay safe
Saw Lee Evans' Monster Tour live & it was just funny from start to finish. Its a good thinkg he's retired because he can see his family more. A complete comedy legend.
I’ve got ADHD and my friends get annoyed when I’m all over the place and annoying them but Lee makes it look like so much fun 😂😂😂😂
I too started cleaning toilets just like lee! 14 years ago? ended up managing 26 very big retail stores 👏❤ prooves that you can achieve anything from the start....
Well done, mate. You have come far, you should be proud.
Whenever I feel anxious watching lee makes me feel at home
I went to a comedy night at The Venue, in New Cross London in about 1989/1990. It was hosted by the wonder that is Arthur Smith ("...My name's Goodnight, Arthur Smith..").
Anyway there was only about 15-20 of us there. I remember an act called "Two Girls Wot Sing" and some fella in a uniform with a fake moustache pretending to be brass band with his mouth.
Then there was this insane little guy in a suit all sweat and funny faces, pumping himself up then blowing himself out like a balloon being let go. He also did a skit to Bohemian Rhapsody I think. We were in tears laughing.
I only realised years later it was Lee Evans.
What a lovely man you can't turn the clock back , family should always come first .you can't beat making memories x
Lee Evans.. you make me cry on all levels... you legend
I wish Id have had the privilege of being in his live audience at least once. I got his book signed from someone who went (I couldn't make it). Great to see these videos still.
My favourite comedian best ever you just cry with laughter x enjoy your retirement lee you deserve it x
Watched Lee live in his final tour. He is, and always will be the funniest guy alive. So glad I got to experience it before he retired. Thank you Lee 😊
What a lovley and endearing man. Enjoy your time with your family my friend.
God bless you and your family Lee you are the Best x
I wish i could meet lee in real life and say " thank you and to your family" the man restores my faith in humanity every time i watch him.
I did meet him at a book signing, I said exactly that and he said “and thank you all for being my friends” - so there you go :)
The legend himself lee Evans
I saw Lee Evans live in Brighton back in 1998 or was it 97 Can't quite remember but what I do remember was that my belly ached after with all the laughter. Top bloke and the best comedian I have ever herd and seen. Cheers Lee
What a truly amazing and humble person. There are good people in the world. We just need more
Saw Lee four times live and never laughed so much! Absolute genius!
What a genuinely lovely fella. Unbelievably funny and kind hearted.
Thank you for your service!!! So many tears of laughter over the years
Lee is a beast

You deserve mate. Almost as much as those that have stood by you. ;)
You do you, we, the fans, have enough of you to keep going.
PS: Thank you.
The best in my life time he reminds me so much of Norman wisdom a comedy hero of mine thanks for the memories lee god bless it’s time for others to make you smile 🏴🙏🏻
I love Lee Evans, he's one of my all-time favourite comediens. Was lucky to see him 3 times, and I shook his hand at the end of one of his shows :)
Saw him twice in Bournemouth, absolutely brilliant. Comes across as an even better person.
My dad always said to me “you’ve got to work” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Simply a LEGEND !
Lee is that one friend in every group you worry about but find they are hilarious
Lee Evans... Genius comedian
I've seen many comedians in a few different languages that I speak. And for me Lee Evans is the best of them all hands down, and a humble guy which is very well received.
Thank you for all the laughter you gave us, and enjoy your well deserved time wit your love ones!😃
Love rewatching all of his shows. Miss him so much. Hope he's doing well
Hard to believe he’ll be 58 in 2 months!! Loved him from day 1
I hope, HOPE !!!!! he returns it would be soon good to see him come even if it's one more time.
I miss this man so much on tv one of the best comics ever !
We all love you lee ❤️❤️
We miss you Lee please can you come back to us.
Lovely . genuine interview
He's just such a beautiful human being.
Absolute legend
Lee Evans is Royality.
Far better than royalty in my book. Wasn't born with a silver spoon in his mouth, worked hard all his life, helped the needy without the media spotlight, and made us laugh.
Very touching and sincere,,,,very good to watch ❤
Lee is what you would class as a true comedian hes none affensive and its all true observation stuff and it's a real shame he stopped when he did. 👍
Brilliant, brilliant and so so hillarious
Got all his DVDs and saw him live in Cambridge too! A cross between Norman Wisdom and Frank Spencer. I wish he'd do Mock the Week, 8 Out of Ten cats does countdown or Would I Lie to You one day.
For selfish reasons I really hope Lee comes back. Just so I can get to see him one last time.
For his sake I hope he never has to, because he really does deserve his retirement and to spend that time with his family
Lee's the best! He phenomenal.
Thank you Lee, that was so sweet.
Awwww Lee. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This interview totally proves just born with funny bones pure legend.
He was the warm up act for Jack Dee when we first saw him!
Lee Evans outranks ALL British comedians by MILES. Truly legend.
What a gent!
The funniest guy to ever grace my television
What a truly lovely guy. 🙏
Top man, family first. 👍
He’s still the best 👍👍💕😂😂😂😂😂
My favourite comedian ever love him he's brilliant 👏👏👏 ❤
But why all these recent uploads? Hope he's comming back! One more tour
I'm here after watching the Medallion, what a cool guy he is
Lee have seen you twice and your an amazing sweet genuine gentleman xx
Love this guy❤
The best comedian ever its sad ya gone mate
Wow April 8, 2024 and this is the first time I’ve heard his native accent. I’m so used to him in fifth element and mouse hunt. His American accent is pristine I had no idea
Always comes across as lovely person,I know this is a while back but I remember at the time thinking what a loss to live comedy. Can’t think of any other comedian who masters the stage as much. Fair play to him for stepping back and enjoying life for himself and his family, good luck to him
Respect to him. He has made enough money and wants to be with his mrs and daughter. Underneath that crazy personality is a kind loving man.
Love Lee ❤
I’d love him to do one more show, I’d pay good money to see him live just one more time, I never had the chance as I’m still relatively young! Maybe one day!
as much as i really enjoyed growing up with his shows, and finally seeing his final tour in person, i have to disagree
he truly deserves to spend time with his wife, and its best to just leave him be
@@giraffe3718 it’s easy for you to say, you went to the final tour I never got to experience that and believe me there are plenty of the younger generation that would love to see him also!
@@BH-tf5zz
Dvds are good...
He does deserve his time with his wife
He gave us all plenty of time ...
Now it's his time ...
Tough if you are the next generation
I'd have loved to have seen him too but I was busy working and I'm his generation...
Awww love ♡
30 years of marriage that’s unheard of these days . Congratulations to them
Lee, you’re the greatest!
0.54 The dedication to the joke...
Very funny lovely man. A real legend ♥️.
Legend
This is such an incredible interview, watching the real Lee Evans open up in this way.
You’re spot on too, it’s so important not to lose focus on family/friends but sadly it’s also far too easy to let work dominate your existence in this day and age.
I would dearly love to see some new material from Lee one day, but if I don’t then that’s fine too, you’ve provided enough laughs to last a lifetime.
I grew up watching Lee (I am 49 now) and your version of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody has stayed with me since the early 90’s!
Thanks for all the laughs 😄👌🏼
