Just work on a few resets every day or so and you will get it before you know it. My own shiny shaymin hunt took me several months because I'm too impatient to do lots of resets in a row. I ended up with mine in under 400 resets. Some can do that many in a day, but not me

Named her Mochi, brought over my shiny giratina named pancake, and they were a duo and my team for the dlc (indigo disk i built a team of kommo-o, hisuian zoroark, clefairy, sneasler, and my skeledirge Crocomire [no plan for the 6th so Mochi returned for round 2!] to run through it but finished with pancake and mochi at the front of the party.) Pecharunt's story i went in with mochi again (and a nameless shiny black kyurem for backup) and just those two because it was Mochi mayhem ;P) Tldr I got my shiny shaymin, named it mochi, and had mochi fight the mochi mochi
