Up to about 10 years ago, still touring regularly, mostly in Europe (as they are from The Netherlands), some really good live performances are here on RUclips...to include their "Twilight Zone"
@@GerardFrenchy59 Also the French music in it's apogee 70s and 80s ...Pierre Bachelet. Julien Clerc. Erve Villard. Michel Berger ...and the rock band Telephone. 👋 from Morocco 👋
Burnt out a lot of brain cells on this album in my 69 hippy van, along with many other excellent 8-track tapes. Never seen these guys in concert like we did moist of the other 60-70's rockers, The days of REAL music and live concerts.
Agreed! He does not seem to get mentioned enough in the conversation about great 70's rock drummers. It took me (a drummer as well) and the rest my band a long time to learn to do justice to a cover of this song!
I never knew they were Dutch until I heard them speaking in an interview on Dutch Television !!!!!! I was stationed in the Netherlands back in the 80"s.... Great band
Whoever did this remake of this old live video did an excellent job seamlessly combining original footage with modern production techniques. Great job!
This is a song you only play when you’re in the fast lane on the highway 😁. Winterland SF went wild when they hit the stage and wilder when they left with the crowd wanting more 👏
Rythm section laying down one of the deepest swings youi'll find in rock, that swing prevents 99.9% of cover bands and 99.8% of pro bands playing it even remotely correctly.
I see Bob Belcher and Edith Cranwinkle in the red station wagon, on their "snatchy snatchy" mission in the "Bob's Burgers" episode, "Bobby Driver." Edith is a great air drummer, too.;)
Check out the still where the guitarist is playing a 12 string. Look right above the drummers head. Yep, could be possibly the largest breast I have ever seen, nicely done with the ancient art of lighting for effects. We knew so much more back in the 70s. 😊
I'm 69 and still play the original vinyl. ❤❤❤❤
@johnosborne2989 literally groovy
@@johnosborne2989 Check out spirit in the sky
Dig.
I'm 65... Had the cassette.
But I remember a flute jam on side two
that's not on CD. Confirm yea or nay.
Peace on earth.
Me too Brother and I’m 68!
Me to mate at 65 love it 👍🏻👍🏻
I've heard this song a million times and this is the first time I have seen these guys,
Me too, WTH???!!!
Me too !!! And now I can’t unsee it 😢
I don't know what I expected, but that wasn't it. I'm glad we didn't have the visuals in the 70s.
Up to about 10 years ago, still touring regularly, mostly in Europe (as they are from The Netherlands), some really good live performances are here on RUclips...to include their "Twilight Zone"
Moment of silence for those who missed the 70s music era 😢. 63 yrs old from Morocco. ❤
I approve 👍65 years old from France 🇫🇷 🎶 🎸

You have a beautiful country. I adore the Atlas Mountains, the Jebel Sahro & the Draa Valley. 🏴
@@kirkdandie you're most welcome. I'm from Tangier 👋
70 from Germany -- seen them life couple of times 🎉🎉
I Love this song! It reminds me of those beautiful 70’s!! And the gorgeous long haired musicians of those Happy days. ❤😊
One of the best ever rock songs. A true Classic!!!
So true 🤗👍❤️
65 and still love it 👍🏻
Me also!
I've never tired of this song....
The definition of a Kick Ass song!!!! Rock on!!!!👍🎶
Im 70 an still love this song i do believe it was the drummer who wrote this 👍👍👍👍
No, it was written by George Kooymans and Barry Hay, like most of Golden Earring's songs....
У нас в СССР эти ребята назывались "Золотые серьги"!!! Класс!
One of the great Dutch bands, shocking blue is another!
Diesel as well.
Shocking Blue is quite decent...I"m certain you've heard it...but "Hot Sands" is a great rocker. (B-side of "Venus" 45rpm)
Earth and fire was terrific as well. and Focus was also very famous.
J'adore cette chanson mais, j'avoue que je n'imaginais pas ce genre de vêtements à paillettes pour ce style musical 😉👍

I LOVE RADAR LOVE!! AWESOME SONG!! AND I'M 63. I love the bass in the song.
Heard it hundreds of times. Can manage several more hundred.
One of my first concerts in Germany. Golden Earing opened for The Who.
Was there too!!
Favorite road song driving from Boulder Colorado to Topanga Canyon California from back in the day.
Best roadtrip song
Cesar is one of the worlds best drummers. Watch their recent videos of this song. His drumming in his 70’s is amazing.

Loved slippin outta the house around 1973 or 74, and riding the roads with a good friend listening to this 8 track...
On my best driving songs list.
I love the drums in this song and the solo is played with such finesse 😊
Love the long version.
I never knew they were Dutch until I heard them speaking in an interview on Dutch Television !!!!!! I was stationed in the Netherlands back in the 80"s.... Great band
Great classic song.
Always wanted to see this band live......
I did 2 times epic ,kinda deaf from so many concerts
The 70s were awesome
They were a Blast!!
One of my favorite songs of the early 70's
A real gem
This was huge back in the day
nog steeds ( still)

Best "2 hit wonder" band ever. Actually some great live shows on YT.
2 hit wonder?????? your nuts !
I really like how the bass guitar has that awesome rhythm to the song! Jim Greszczuk

Watched this band perform 'Radar Love' back in 75 opening for Santana in Orlando Fl. when I was 17 years young:)
@@chevyvandweller2706 Just posted a video for twilight zone. Check it out. Hope you enjoy.
Love love this song for driving.
Получил удовольствие и заряд энергии, хотя никогда не видел эту группу и не слышал эту песню ранее, к моему сожалению.
I love this song. I love rock -n- roll classics.❤
Great job, glad there was footage of the group.
What a fucking classic ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

7-24-2024. Radar spell Radar either direction and you have Radar. But leave out Love.

If you like Radar Love you're gonna really love the rest of Moontan. Still one of my top 10 LPs ever.
Awesome album, 5 Incredible songs to get utterly lost in. Their live stuff on the Rock Palast 1983 video is legendary. Beyond underrated band!
Классика на все времена!!
Buenos tiempos, aquellos. Nostalgia.
When guys actually looked like guys!!😍
The older generation said then. I recall my dad saying he couldn’t tell a man from a woman because of the common hair length.
Loudest band I ever saw. Much louder than Motorhead!
They played Radar Love about 7 times in the set when I saw them.
Brilliant song.
Danke ❤

It has NOTHING to do with vietnam.
It was about his connection with his girlfriend at the time, using driving a car on the highway as a metaphor !!!

You could make this song one hour long with solos.
@jorgejohnson451 I think they may have it one point. I have read that they sometimes played radar Love up to 5 or 6 times in one night
Remember from M.A.S.H radar playing the same drum rif or something similar
My 1st concert was Golden Earing & Ted Nugent.
great opening riffs

Search for their album Moontan and listen to it in one sitting, you will be shocked at how good they were, enjoy!
@vicprovost2561 How good their were? I heard them play this not too long ago, and they absolutely rocked it. This band pre-dates the Rolling Stones.
