We at our home make this (Chiwada) for Diwali faral every year... I have seen my mother make it for as long as I remember. When I grew up I started making it with her and now I make it at my home for my family and friends for diwali... It's like a tradition in our family... Thank you for sharing it... 💐
Nice recipe, Geetaji !! In Maharastra, this favourite snack is made with almost same method and similar ingredients. It is called 'Chivda'. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Gita, I made this today. It turned out pretty ok. But what I found was that the dry masala tends to sit at the bottom of the kadai. Especially the salt. Ant remedy for that?
Geetha ma'am नमस्ते felt very much sad to know about your husband health issues.....I sincerely pray for his speedy recovery Almighty bless your family 🙏 with sound prosperity

Geeta, nice and easy snack. I will try. This is an important snack in Maharashtrian house holds during Diwali. I stay in mumbai. Can I know where u stay ?
Yes arvathy. I usually keep it in hand specially as I want to avoid too many oily or deep fried snacks, yet satisfy the feeling of munching something as a light snack
Mam sit and cook when not shooting. My mother puts a stool in kitchen and sits near stove. Because u keep on standing to cook for family and neglect ur health. It effects ur knees legs etc when aging. Plz take care all mothers. Dnt stand for long time
Thank you for a recipe that dosent require deep frying. Really quick and healthy to avoid store bought products
