    We at our home make this (Chiwada) for Diwali faral every year... I have seen my mother make it for as long as I remember. When I grew up I started making it with her and now I make it at my home for my family and friends for diwali... It's like a tradition in our family... Thank you for sharing it... 💐

    Nice recipe, Geetaji !!
    In Maharastra, this favourite snack is made with almost same method and similar ingredients. It is called 'Chivda'.

      Hot soapy water is all I use. But i understand it is best to install an electric chimney .

    Hi Gita, I made this today. It turned out pretty ok. But what I found was that the dry masala tends to sit at the bottom of the kadai. Especially the salt. Ant remedy for that?

      That's great you can try mixing the masala in a tsp of oil and then add to mix

      Yes arvathy. I usually keep it in hand specially as I want to avoid too many oily or deep fried snacks, yet satisfy the feeling of munching something as a light snack

      Use thin poha. The poha should be totally dry.

    Mam sit and cook when not shooting. My mother puts a stool in kitchen and sits near stove. Because u keep on standing to cook for family and neglect ur health. It effects ur knees legs etc when aging. Plz take care all mothers. Dnt stand for long time
