When I left iraq my unit made us all sign a paper saying we were exposed to a burn pit during the deployment duration and that we were less than 1 mile from the pit.
My son died at 34 yrs of age. He had multiple chronic illnesses and died a horrible excruciating painful death....210 lbs Army soldier and was reduced to 87lbs. All his organs were fried. VA was no help.
My husband recently had a stroke at the age of 58. They can not find a single medical issue that would cause a stroke. He does not have any medical conditions that would cause a stroke. Doctors are baffled. Va had denied the claim connection to buring pits. Any suggestions?
I was exposed to lots of toxic stuff from 1984-1989 from a burn pit in the USA. I have respiratory issues that started in 84. And prostrate cancer more current. Any advice how to address this unmentioned burn pit.
My VA hasn’t allowed me to see your primary care doctor in five years. I get to talk to my primary care Doctor Who is retiring March 28 every six months on video Compton call he promises Consult and medication renewal. I get nothing and then they move on.. when I see him at the beginning of the conference call, I said Doc what happened to all the consult in the med renewals that I asked for then he says I put the consult in Las Vegas VA did nothing about it. Died on the vine 30 days later than I didn’t know that it died because this is when I looked at it, so I’ll put the consul in again just like I have the last six times it’ll die in the wine and you won’t get any medical treatment which is what Las Vegas wants. I said I need to see Angela Pinsky the primary care doctor in my civilian Doctor Who treats all veterans in my area he said I know but I don’t know how to put the consul in, so you’ll never get it. In the meantime I get to die in my home by myself..
Lost my Spleen due to possible burn pit exposure on multiple deployments. The Biopsy baffled quite a few labs. I asked my surgeon, Primary care etc if they think my spleen tumor was from burn pit exposure. They said its a good possibility! More to come.
My IRB lot was right next to the burn pits on Balad. Often the smoke drifted a mile away to where our GP tents were. I can barrly breath now. Freedom isn't free.
What if we were in Kuwait running in convoys in and out of Iraq but not “stationed” in Iraq . We spent 80. % of the outside the wire in and out of Iraq
Me too! I was in the Marines and we had one at an area known as Lonesome Dove. During the air campaign, we raided it for things we could use/make (creature comforts). Also, when we came out of the desert, we were at Ras Al Mishab Airport pulling MP duties. We had to take our trash there!
@@anthonybacoat5344 Hell I was attached to a medical unit where we had 30+ shit houses all around camp. Plywood boxes with four toilet seats in each. You took a dump right next to the other poor sap. Talk about waiting until you absolutely knew you had to go is an understatement. I'm shocked we all don't shit fly larva daily because as you sat there you ass got cleaned by the flies. I don't know but I so thankful for baby wipes! Loading all those quarter barrels onto a deuce and half, holding onto the sides while we made the trips back and forth to the burn pit was the sooo wonderful. Shit detail was so bad I had to throw away my chemical suit when we got back to Germany because the smell of all that goodness that splashed on you never ever came out. YUMMY!
Should an iraq/afghanistan vet be getting their burn pit exposure documented even if they aren’t showing symptoms? I never knew how much it affected people but I know multiple vets my age (30s) with brain tumors and other issues.
Everyone talks about burn pits for the soldiers but contractors actually controlled these pits...i worked burn pit for KBR for 6 months and i have migraine headaches...i have medication and take a shot every month...i also have breathing issues
Robert Hale that’s where I was. My housing compound was H6, just up the road. I have reactive airway now and use an inhaler. Never smoked in my life and never had breathing problems before.
It wasn't just Post-9/11. I'm on the airborne and toxic waste registry and did 2 deploymenrs in the Gulf and Indian Ocean between 93-99. AFFF exposure too, I have chronic pain and undiagnosed autoimmune disorders.
They gave me the burn pit test and said I wasn't exposed butt I was on land at lease 2 to 3 times and later on told me we where close to the burning oil wells.so the military and v.a. lies.untill they fill like telling the truth.

🙏🙌
When not on patrol I would wake up choking on the smoke from the burn pit.
Medical refused to acknowledge and sign off that we were exposed to chemical harm from the Burn Pits in Iraq back in 2008.

I was around burn pits and burn barrels. I constantly have bronchitis but the VA says I'm fine. :/

Thank you for the video and information gentlemen.
You need a nexus letter to be service connected.

In 2007 Balad allowed a pile of trash/junk/metal/whatever piled 50ft high and about 5 acres to burn for over 3 months.

I was there too in 07
I was in balad 2009 and I was constantly sick and had my tonsils taken out while in balad
The Al Asad burn pits were horrible. You'd have though they were burning pure oil. It was sticky smoke
I was there too and Hadetha Dam
We used to stay near them fires to keep from freezing in the winter

I had to actually escort the garbage trucks to the burn pits. As a security escort and when I was detailed on trash duty
Will smoking void the claim.
have these been linked to sleep disoders and child dev problems.....Al Asad 07-08 exposure vet asking
yes
TCDD is the bad one
TCDD is a highly toxic dioxin found in Agent Orange and was found in air samples from burn pits. We hope you find this information helpful!
Sleep apnea? Yes or no

sleep apnea from burn pits, have cpap
They gave me a CPAP but I hate the mask that came with it.
