@April - I would recommend closing the gaps in the lids. Wheeling the cans in backwards and leaving the lids on the cans open. When it's trash day, the handles to maneuver the full cans will be easily accessible and closing off the wood gaps will reduce the chance of water filling them up during the rain. Nice job!
What I like about you April is your like a little kid when your finished and it turns out great. Your work is awesome and inspirational. Thanks :)
I love how when you run into an obstacle, (like the doors not lining up in this video) you show it and explain how you overcame it.
Love this! Just built an enclosure for my irrigation system which was a major eyesore and used this basic idea for it only on a smaller scale and didn't have a floor. Next year, plan on building this same project to enclose two large garbage containers. Will use white vinyl planking from fencing materials for sides and top. Don't need a floor because these garbage bins already sit on bricks. Thanks again. You did a great job explaining all of your steps. This was the best one I found.
Hi April,
Fantastic job. Like your enthusiasm when you finish your projects.
Nice work April. First video I've ever watched of yours but definitely something my wife and I will be building. So cool
This is exactly perfect for storing my mower and yard tools in.The gas shocks were right on the money! I'm on it! Thanks and you did a kick ass job👏👏👏✌
I think it looks great. Great job April!
Keep up the great work
Roy
Maybe add some wire with a clip to the lid? That way when you open the structure lid, the can lip also opens?
Was thinking the same thing.
@@DDEENY Same here. Easy addition to the project.
Nice idea. I was wondering what could be done with that little hindrance.
I have to say, you have a really good talent working with wood. I'm a beginner so learning off your videos. you done a great Job.
That's pretty awesome, honestly I think everyone should have one. The outlook of everything would look so much better
Great job as always. Love the energy you have in your videos, really makes it fun to watch. On the hinged roof, you may want to consider moving the outside slats to permanent attachment to the housing instead of on the hinged roof. Didn't look like they were hanging on by much and those boards to tend to crack/split if to much pressure is put on them.
Very well done April! That is an awesome trash can holder thingy!
very nice...love the shocks! great idea!
Excellent work and design was wondering what to do with our rubbish bins now I know..Thanks April
Way cool DIY project. Not only keeps the critters out but much more aesthetically pleasing. Great job April.
: ) Thanks Wayne!
You are awesome April. LOVE YOUR VIDS!!!! You do a really great job.
very nice project April, I made mine from 4x4 pressure treated posts and lifted mine off the ground, I also installed 2 doors and pitched the roof,. I used t1-11 panel board also. Keep up the great work. Chris
Nice work. I been thinking about something like this for my garbage containers. This is the first decent thing I seen so far. Going to have to build one in the spring. Thanks.
Sweetness! That is an amazing job! You are so clever with the gas shocks...!
You're getting good at this stuff! This was a great project keep'em coming. Thanks
Hi April. I'll make this a little bit more robustly, and then I have the perfect storage for my lawnmower. And I'll use the roofing technique from another one of your videos. Mix and matching ideas. Thank you for the great content.
Thanks for sharing. It definitely improves the looks and makes the bins critter-proof.
cool, turn out amazing. like the shock assist.
Wow, Those Trash Cans (Wheelie bins in Australia) are HUGE. I had wondered why the shed was so big, but it all makes sense now! Great Video.
Good morning from the Pacific Northwest..! Thank you for your video on the trash shed. I appreciate your guidance and inspiration on so many projects.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching.
Super easy to watch. You need a T.V. show! Reminds me of old Sunday mornings watching diy jobs
thanks for getting part two up!
What a tidy solution for a common problem, the lift shocks are brilliant.
You also have excellent taste in t-shirts! hahaha
You are brilliant!!! This would make a great generator enclosures
Always a great job April
Looks great and it keeps the critters out of your garbage too.
I like the addition of the shocks to keep the tops open!
Good job April! Nice project.
Thanks April, another item to go on my list of things to do!
Omg love your doors with the barn style diagonal piece.
Great project. I've been thinking about building something similar. Guess I will have to get on it now. Thanks for sharing. And thanks for sharing plans

Great way to hide the unsightly bins! I love the shocks on the lid. Great idea!
Enjoyed this project
Great work, thanks for taking the time and sharing!!
Girl , it was really good !!!
You rock!!! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! You Go Girl!!
looks good April! got that done in no time
Nice build. I did something similar some years ago and added a piece of chain and hook to the top lid so when you open it the thrashcan also opens wide enough to put most stuff in and with the simple hook its easy to remove the chain on trash day.
Nice job. This is just what I was looking for.
Nice job of making garbage cans look good
April, Great job!. One suggestion though. You may wanna install a string, coat hanger, copper cable to unlatch the door latches from inside, just in case you have kids running around and trapping themselves inside. I learned my lesson when my wife trapped herself inside a tool shed many years ago. :)
Easy to Use and Well Made
Nice project. Good video.
That looks cool
very cool! great idea! love the happy jump at the end!
Great job April!!!
very nice work!
Great job April. One suggestion to make your life even easier. Permanently attach a properly sized bungee cord from the inside wooden lid and attach the other end to a drilled hole in your trash can. Now when the gas shock raises the wooden lid it also lifts the plastic garbage can lid. Life is good again!
GOOD IDEA!
Thanks for this ideas!! keep doing videos like this one... All is very simple and looks easy to do it!!! Thanks a lot... I will be waiting for more videos!!
Good one!!! Looks great!!
I really like this idea. We've been talking about doing something like this for ours.
I will definitely buy the plans in the near future. This is exactly what I’m looking for. This will be my next DIY project when fence is done.

awesome job..May you be always blessed with ambition so that our ideas can be created and shared as always to inspire others. :)
This is a great project well explained and easy to build. Compliments!
Glad you like it!
April, if you place your trash cans in with the lids open and the other way around you will not have to open the trash can top and then you can just pull the can out. That is how I’ve placed mine 👍🏼 love you plans, thank you.
What about all the insects that will hop in, when the trash lid is kept open?
That is just awesome!
It is great to see a young husband and wife complement each other so well. You are very talented and I'm glad you and your husband are so compatible.
God has given you a gift and it is nice to see you make the most of it!!
Je n'ai pas eu besoin de cette hypothèse.

Awesome work!!!! I'm going to make this within the next couple weeks, We have a bear problem in our area and this looks like the answer to the problem
What an awesome idea! I hate looking at the ugly trash cans along the fence in our backyard. We totally need to build one of these. Good work! :)
