I'm Malaysian Malacca Sultanate is the start of Malaysia's history. It's flag was blue flag with moon and star. After Malacca city fall to the portuguese, Johor took over and make a blue flag from its predecessor, Malacca, and the red canton from Ottoman's flag as a symbol of being under the caliphate. Lastly, when forming Malaysia, Johor is the one who designed the flag. Blue from the great Malacca, and red white stripes from Majapahit empire. Malacca did almost the same thing but only using a single red and white. Because red and white is sort of Nationalist color of Malay archipelago The point is, Malacca didn't copy Malaysia's flag. They copied the same thing, or rather, Malaysia's the one who copied Malacca old flag. Though I really appreciate you made a video of my very unpopular country. Keep it up!
