Amazing to find this, this is exactly like my ancient one. Mine has just stopped passing the music to the speakers, so upset. The inside of the main unit did get a bit wire smelly. So sad. It's always been incredibly loud volume. Loudness works with all of it. My tape deck broke and I got rid of it.
I have 2 of these amplifiers, 1 has a missing balance knob . Both have the same issue hardly any volume, I'm sure it's dirty contacts inside. I did hear them going when I first got them from eBay. I sent away for the belt kit for the tape deck and bought the power connector lead from ebay as it came without one. I bought the matching record player for it and a RCA switch box as there is only the tape connector input on the amplifier. I will eventually get it all sorted and I will put a video on RUclips of it up and running!
Nicely done, looks well underrated amp I’ve had same one for a while now and had no issues. 👍🏻

Great work!
Why change the plug? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it?
It wasn't up to current safety standards. Plus a black one suits it better.
