My two favorite fragrances of all time are vintage Polo green and Quorum. I still have some of the vintage Polo green aftershave, Quorum I have the new version and I still like it It's close enough to the original that I still wear it.
You think the latest version is close, and still good ? I wore the original back in the 80's also, and compared to today's unisex sweet crap,.it a masterpiece !!!
To me, it always transcended the dad scent and embraced grandad territory. Probably why I love it so much. Definitely grounded by the oakmoss and what seems like a cross between cumin and caraway. Parfumo doesn't have pine listed, but there certainly is a bit of a sour zing in the opening. Perfectly blended leather for a classic, but would be awesome if they had released a leather heavy flanker. The aftershave is a must.
Boom 💥 blast from the past swiped a bottle from uncle John a big man and a big fragrance wearer lol, of course living next door to us he smelt it off me one day and I got a clip around the ear hole and had to return his fragrance post haste ,however next day a package was left in the house for me ,yep big John bought me a bottle of my own ,awesome guy , I miss my old uncle John cheers Matt thanks for the scent memory and review 🙏✌️
Very much enjoyed your video. In the 80s, quorum, raco rabanne, Lagerfeld and polo green we're your Belk Leggett go to colognes. Just my thoughts. Modern colognes are to fruity and feminine and cookie cutter colognes. Quorum, raco rabanne and polo are your outdoor, motorcyclist, nostalgic man's colognes. Their masculine, confident and the smells truly rush one back to the 80s when times we're fun, great music on the radio. 80s dress codes and big hair ladies. There's just something about the 70s and 80s colognes that keep you young. If only for the moment. Please do a video on paco rabanne classic.
Adore Quorum. Particularly like the "dirty" tobacco note mingled with fir(I get fir), pine, and patchouli. Film noir masculine....a cologne "Deckard" from "Blade runner" would wear, in my opinion. Great vid! Also...cool retro paisley shirt!👍
Always liked Quorum , still valid today i reckon, its got a warmth to it ,even tho its a mossy oakmoss herbal type scent. It was a fantastic performer back then. Can’t get it now - I’ve got ‘vintage’ bottles, but it’s NOT the same. I recall it being really powerful, and lasting. In the 80’s and early 90’s ( im old. technically I’m ageless, being the unborn formless awareness, but this body is approaching 65yrs ) Its a great one tho - Quorum. Kouros is awesome too- in a different way. A little more aggressively masculine, i would dearly love to find some vintage kouros - i recall smelling it on someone else. A fellow inmate of a halfway house. We were in there together for a short while . Brighton , Cromwell rd. God bless you mate - salute. But the scent struck me and really seemed the best thing in the world - Of course we were treated to the full impact of the opening of ‘vintage’ kouros which he applied liberally and often, God damn. Those things are unrepeatable tho. 🥂Cheers 👍
Fun to see that you also like Rick and Morty :) I'm a bit afraid to buy Quorem, because fragrances with a prominent tobacco note make me smell more like smoke because I'm a smoker haha
Quorum smells great while completely defying logic. The notes- it’s like if you blindfolded 20 people before they threw darts and they all hit a bullseye. I picture the 3 perfumers in a room in 1981: Perfumer 1: I want to make a cologne that really, and I mean truly, captures the smell of a smashed cigarette butt on a crowded sidewalk. Perfumer 2: How avant garde! Let’s get really weird with it and add, oh, I don’t know… GRAPEFRUIT. Perfumer 3: You’re both out of your gourds. Next you're gonna tell me those would mix well with, like, Jasmine. Perfumers 1&2: JASMINE YASSSSSS!!!!
my first encounter with QUORUM was at the end of 1983, then I rediscovered it again in 1995 and since then I have always worn it, normally I always get the aftershave and the cologne set, and I found the aftershave balm by chance in eBay; I think I have a set and also a bottle that still got Oakmoss in it, and the scent is so strong, manly, long-lasting, it's my favorite fragrance but I also have AGUA BRAVA EDC and BRUMMEL EDC, again from the house of Antonio Puig; these 3 fragrances are always in my wardrobe, they are the image of sophistication, manliness, maturity and the definition of how a man's fragrance should smell.
That's a 2003 bottle ,..the 3rd version,..with the name and content under it.....the one with PUIG only at the bottom is the original bottle 1982 to 1992...the one with Antonio Puig only at the bottom is the 2nd batch 1993 to 2003 !!! the new version is not great ,.I hear !!!
Too bad the new current version with the plastic sprayer has been diluted way too much into something that I can just call a mere ”impression” of the old quorum.
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try it and have a blessed day

Agree with those choices. Polo green and quorum are quality scents.

You and me are the same. Gun to my head those are my top two fragrances ever.

Thanks for watching! A "Quorum Intense" would be awesome to see..
My sotd. It's great. Worth much much more than it costs.

I’m excited to smell this. The way you feel about Quorum, I feel about Bowling eatGreen by Geoffrey Beene. I’m obsessed with the scent. Great video!

I agree! I think of Burt Reynolds xD
@@fragrancematt 👍
One of my first fragrances when I came across eighties powerhouses, love it for its mighty green feel, like no other.
I'll never forget when I first smelled Quorum..it was a good day for sure. Thanks for watching!

Awesome review,!
Great gift set. Love quorum. Regularly buy it from all beauty.
Nice kit and phenomenal review mate!
I Can’t believe I still haven’t tried this, definitely need to even though it’s not really my type of thing 😎👍
It's not for everyone bro but it's worth owning cos it's so cheap haha cheers for watching bro.
