Northern California forecast | Break from rain and snow on Wednesday, February 5

Wednesday will offer a brief break from wet weather for Northern California after it received a soaking from steady rain and heavy Sierra snow driven by an atmospheric river. Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said temperatures will be slightly cooler than in recent days but will be sunny. Clouds will move in overnight Wednesday, bringing with it more precipitation. The Sacramento Valley could see up to three-quarters of an inch in some areas. Similar to the storm on Tuesday, flooding is not expected to be an issue on Thursday.
