To me, this is not saddening seeing Phil in a chair, its lovely and empowering. He is still singing, he's doing all he can and giving all he can. His voice is not the same buts its still there, its similar and it's decent. The people still love it.
Phil is one of the most humble and down to Earth performers in the world. And performing in front of a live audience is what he enjoys doing most. You can tell he loves what he does and gives 110%! Wether he's sitting in a chair, getting older, ((as we all are)) or what have you, he'll be singing and performing for as long as he possibly can. And I would literally pay plenty to just watch him tell jokes, much less expect him to sing. lol As I'm sure many other people would do as well!! We ❤️ U, Phil!!! Keep rockin' around the world!!! 💪🔥👍🔥😎
I'm glad he's performing, but I don't think they should have charged what they did for the US concerts in this condition. 1800$ for 2 tickets... Not resaleable either.
Breaks my heart to see Phil in failing health, but that’s the way it goes, we’re all getting old. Thanks for still doing your thing and all of the incredible music Phil, what an amazing body of work.👍🏻🙏
Its admirable that Phil still performs given the pain he has to endure. His son Nic is an excellent drummer.Well done for making great records Genesis and solo records plus your production skills are second to none.Keep going Phil.
I saw Phil in concert back in the 80's and 2019.... I grew up listening to Genesis....the fact that he's still performing is amazing....his voice is still strong ....he still has it in him and, and the fact he is sitting in a chair....just shows and says it all....
Phil is acting with great honesty and honour to his fans. If we compare him to, lets say , Rod Stewart, his voice is far better. I was fortunate enough to see Genesis in 2007 and watch him playin the drums is something compared to watch Pelé play football (soccer). I saw him solo in 2017 (Germany) and 2018 (Brazil) and he was in better shape in 2018. Aging is for all of us. Nobody is the same at the age of 68 compared to when was 30. His songs are still alive and he is doing a fine job despite his health conditions.
Show respect people. If you dont wanna spend your hard earned money to see a legend then dont. But he hasnt gave up. Give him credit. Hes still with us.

This is dreadful, especially when you hear Roger Daltrey sing and he's 7 yrs older than Phil and his voice is still so strong, also Tom jones - need I say anything else
It really hurts to see him like this. Follow you, follow me was the first song i've heard by genesis and it was the first time i heard Phil's voice. I was 4 years of age and I'll never forget it. Thank you Phil, for all of your beautiful music. Phil is still here with us and that's the most important thing
he's overplaying it i think, he is very sensetive and feeling beaten down from his hard times but he knows his fanbase is massive and WANTS to connect with them still hece why he is dong this.....he CAN WALK he should get out of that chair and enjoy himself more cuz thats what he wants to do and so does the crowd
Yes he can walk but his back is stuffed from falling down elevating stage that hadn’t been in place in time. He sits because he has difficulty in standing for long periods. I think it was more to connect with his son Nick after his battle with alcoholism. I would love to see him back to his old self. I don’t think he is overplaying it. Perceptions are different for different people I guess. I saw a video of him on RUclips sitting in a chair and thought it was like watching someone sing Phil Collins hits in a nursing home. I love Phil and his music but just couldn’t bring myself to see him like that. I’ll just keep my memories of seeing him live in the 80’s.
I went and saw him at AAMI Park early 2019. Yeah his back is stuffed so he needs to sit down but my god, he put on a show I will never forget. Absolutely brilliant and engaged the crowd the whole time. I’m glad he’s still going, having fun and playing with old band mates (Daryl, Leland and Brad) and his son Nic.
I find this incredibly empowering and inspiring, here is dear Phil giving his all, all he can despite what must be great sadness in his heart, I know this from my own personal experience. People change, our bodies change, our voices change, but the human spirit does not, this is Phil’s gift to us all, a living reminder of our own mortality, but at the same time showing us that with courage, determination and love, we can overcome anything! Thank you Phil for your inspiration, for being that shining example of what makes human beings truly great. Thank you to the audience for their outpouring of love that evening, showing in great spirit their great respect and love for this great man, our Phil. God Bless you all. Adrian in Bermuda ❤️💕❤️💕

Mr Phil collins is a legend & always will be & this music will be around forever, unlike these artists songs of today who's songs will never be heard of in years to come.
To seeing Phil shows that he still has fun and music will be his life. The voice isn't not the same like years before but no matter. He is full of much power and present and so sympatic. To nice to see it. Also his son plays very good on the drums.

I love this man like my own father. I saw every Genesis tour in the 80's and still go back to watch the live concerts all the time. Isn't getting old a bitch? Seeing him sit there singing when all I want to remember is the fantastic drumming of Los Endos or In the Cage Medley. I get the same feeling when I'm with my Dad who was also a pro drummer in the late 60's, 70's and 80's. Wish we could all stay young forever.
@@silviamarquesfankanal1463 sadly.. no. I'm Canadian and was only 15 at the time. I have pretty good audio bootlegs of the show though. It's alleged that the show was filmed. Peter ownes that footage and will not release it. He hates his performance and will bury it till there all long gone.
@@silviamarquesfankanal1463 You obviously know that show too. I have a soundboard bootleg of the rehearsal! Much better sound but very rough performances.. Enjoy your UK shows in September.. if you go. I personally would not. Much too sad to see Phil not 🥁😥. Cheers.
I'm in Australia and as such I won't get to see Genesis in Tour. I hope that someone goes and enjoys the experience as much as I would have. Musical God's.
I saw Genesis with my first love back in 87 at Giants Stadium for the Invisible Touch tour....I'll see him again in Madison Square Garden Dec 6th....My first love just might be coming with me...
I met him at a really small venue in Petaluma CA 2 years ago or so and he was playing for a British folk singer and he was really humble and shook my hand, I won’t forget that and yeah he looked the same
"late at night when you call my name, the only sound you'll hear - is the sound of my voice calling.. calling after you..." man, i'd give anything to be able to go back and get just a brief taste of that period in late '86 early '87 when this song and album broke through. like eddie money says, i wanna go back and do it all over, but i can't go back, i know.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I was also at this concert in the upper upper level of the Toyota Center with my dad (who introduced me to Phil Collins & classic rock as a kid) and this is such a fond memory with him! I also worked in backstage catering for this concert and got to meet some of the musicians & crew members, they were all so kind and cool! Anyway, thanks again for posting this - I've just subscribed to see the rest of your Houston concert recordings! Rock on 🤘
Phil doing his best not what he was being in ill health finding it hard but still good hope he can manage the genesis tour its gonna be hard all the best phil been seeing phil since early 70.s been a great drummer sad he can't play no more i think the genesis tour should be left and remembered as they was brilliant live band

The important thing is, he can still sing. He doesn't have to run around the stage like a fool. The music speaks for it self.
Absolutely
he can sing, but can he dance?
Wait…what?? They’ve had to transpose each song down three keys and they are still out of his vocal range

Seeing him take command of an audience from a chair... that’s so empowering, and it also takes a lot of compassion and dedication from the audience.
Now imagine him back in 1986-1987 belting this out.

Excellent saw him long time ago twice with genesis twice by himself unforgettable
Did you also visit the 1982 reunion in Buckinghamshire?
@@silviamarquesfankanal1463 sadly.. no. I'm Canadian and was only 15 at the time. I have pretty good audio bootlegs of the show though. It's alleged that the show was filmed. Peter ownes that footage and will not release it. He hates his performance and will bury it till there all long gone.
@@lornestein7248 That sucks, because some of his performances that evening were better than his older ones e.g. I Know What I Like or Back In NYC.
@@silviamarquesfankanal1463 You obviously know that show too. I have a soundboard bootleg of the rehearsal! Much better sound but very rough performances.. Enjoy your UK shows in September.. if you go. I personally would not. Much too sad to see Phil not 🥁😥. Cheers.
@@silviamarquesfankanal1463 oh ya.. were you there? Catch pnemonia from rain and cold?
I 💜 YOU PHIL COLLINS
Phil's son does a great job on the drums!
Love your neighbor during the 2020 pandemic.
Best Wishes from Still Collins USA
I'm in Australia and as such I won't get to see Genesis in Tour. I hope that someone goes and enjoys the experience as much as I would have. Musical God's.
Man I HATE that I missed this concert!!! I was on my way to a new life in Fort Worth...
it wasn't that good. hehe, j/k. I got the whole show, so you can watch it all: ruclips.net/p/PL0oz3aZg2QY6xRAYfTkSlruGvq41tTD_U
I saw Genesis with my first love back in 87 at Giants Stadium for the Invisible Touch tour....I'll see him again in Madison Square Garden Dec 6th....My first love just might be coming with me...
Phil forever ! With love from Romania !
Loving it regardless of all the ill comments. Don't like it, just move on to another video.
It's weird seeing Phil age and then seeing Leland Sklar in the background look exactly as he did in the 2004 farewell tour
I met him at a really small venue in Petaluma CA 2 years ago or so and he was playing for a British folk singer and he was really humble and shook my hand, I won’t forget that and yeah he looked the same
Looks the same as he did in the 1980s, maybe even the 70s!
To be fair, it’s easier to get away with ageing when two thirds of your face is covered with hair.
Some years ago, he didn´t include any genesis song in his solo concerts. Anyway, you can do whatever you want, Phill. Genious!!!!
The living legend
Phil for ever,México loves you
"late at night when you call my name, the only sound you'll hear - is the sound of my voice calling.. calling after you..." man, i'd give anything to be able to go back and get just a brief taste of that period in late '86 early '87 when this song and album broke through. like eddie money says, i wanna go back and do it all over, but i can't go back, i know.
Genesis my band
AWESOME PERFORMANCE
He is still a STAR! I have met him!
Rock on 🤘
Very cool! Thanks, I gotta lotta good shows coming up including Genesis later this year. :)
Love you ;; PHILLY,,,, Your awesome and ur kid is awesome !😂🌅❤️
Phil doing his best not what he was being in ill health finding it hard but still good hope he can manage the genesis tour its gonna be hard all the best phil been seeing phil since early 70.s been a great drummer sad he can't play no more i think the genesis tour should be left and remembered as they was brilliant live band
Despite having some real bad luck with doctors, Phil Collins still a great musician.
I love you my poet
