I did not recognize a single one of these games! There were soo many C64 games. The music for most of these was pretty epic. Love the SID.
Nice ! Then lots of new stuff to try and yeah the SID is always epic
nice little collection . i love the "broken by computerkids" at the start screen of the game ACE 😅
😂😂 the cracking scene pretty much saved these games from existence so im not ashamed to show them 😂😂 I used to physically get games mailed to me from Hotline 😎
Well I only asked in your last blog when the new episode of Byte size retro was coming and here it is 😁👍
Many thanks Brendan I love this series, I love to find hidden gems amongst the games 🙂👍
Like I said I put it on the top of my pile of vids to do 😎👍 enjoy
@@BastichB64K Thanks a million, really appreciated 👍
Blood n Guts! This was a favorite of me and my friends, back then....hilarious game!
Yeah good bit of 80s cheese 😂👍
That's a set. Sound is brilliant, visuals to match. Compelling and gratifying curation of music and visuals. Like being at a concert. BastichB is a talented dude.
Cheers glad you liked it 😀👍
Every time i see one of these compilations - there's 10+ games I never knew about, and I thought I'd seen them all!
Awesome ! New games to play
Great collection of games. I am surprised how many games I never saw before.
Excellent thats the goal to show a bit of old and new and hopefully you discover some new ones to try out.
I have nearly all the old games but seeing "Save Me Brave Knight" again warms my heart. I played it to death back in the day. It's so good! ^^
Check out my series "C64 Deep Cuts" for a closer look at Brave Knight 🕹️👍
@@BastichB64K I will! 😃
I remember Ace. I was too young to appreciate it at the time
It was a fun arcade style flight sim
Awesome video! A lot of games to check out. Great sound work, btw man!
Thx , the SID music did all the work 🎶😎👍
Great mix of more and less familiar titles, old and new. Also love the sound mixing! Outlaw was a pretty neat shooter if I remember correctly, a nice alternative to the awful conversion of Gun Smoke we were "blessed" with. That last title "Holiday Games" looks rather hilarious! Didn't know that one. Almost has a Leisure Suit Larry vibe to it.
Yeah Outlaw is how Gunsmoke should have been if competent people were making it 😂
Nothing like those SID chip sounds takes me right back !
The best 🎶🎶👍
Loved this video BastichB. I’ve been reliving my childhood by purchasing a mister and playing c64 games in real-time, the epic loading sessions. 😂
Keep going back to commando, probably not a favourite for everyone but the music is fantastic and takes me back.
Just going through a lot of c64 games. I think the mister is probably my best purchase in years. Just feels so good on a controller rather than use straight up emulation.
Nice i wish i could afford a Mister 😂 anyway I'd say Commando is a firm favorite in the C64 scene great game with an epic SID tune that makes the arcade original sound like complete garbage 🎶😎👍
Super Cool as there were a number of games here that I have not played. Will for sure check out. Thanks!
Nice , more games to add to the pile 😂👍
nice collection of old and new going to try some of these out.
Awesome enjoy 👍👍
Wow I think I only know about a third of these games... thanks for the info.. got lots to try now :)
Awesome ! More games to play
Wicked good taste in games as always! ✌️
Thanks dude 🕹️👍
Some odd EA games for sure , I can only assume USA release maybe as never seen I’d heard of them in Blighty . Good mix of new release also buddy . Top marks to the sound . 🕹👍🏼
Yeah not sure if all those EA made it too europe my guess is not all . Thx for checking it out the vid.
... If I remember, Standing Stones came in a huge box?! Ace on the C64, and today Ace 7 on console! I also put more time into Batty than Arkanoid! And oh my God, Dambusters was SUCH a brilliant game! Shame no Tass Times in Tone Town, though...
Shame no Tass Times ?? Such a random thing to say . I know the creator died a couple days ago but if you think i make these videos in 2 days then 😂😂😂😂
@@BastichB64K That's why I was hoping one of your video's to carry it....!
@@gamingtonight1526 it's ranked #96 in my Top 200 C64 games video if you want to see something about the game :)
Knight N' Grail reminds me alot of Castlevania
Yeah its very much in that style , look out for a video coming soon featuring it in much more detail 👍
You are right! I spent some time with it a few years ago and beat it and would like to play it again. It’s magical
knight n grail still world class
Such a good one 👍
Where’s the commentary? That’s the best part of your videos!
This is episode #8 , as per the 7 others its a quick fast way of seen lots of C64 games rapidly thats the point of it , there's no commentary in this series.
I recognized a few. of the games.
🕹️👍
Bayraktar!
I got a idea for a new video Bastich.. games that use a mouse as a control method on the Commodore 64.. I'd like a list. I know a handful of titles.
Or is there any games or other software that uses the light pen. I have a light pen but only used it on some software.. Trojan pen I own (use on my C64c via CRT TV). Mouse I use on my The Vic20 maxi. The mouse came with my A500 mini.
A light pen i would guess would only be for software , no game I know of uses one . The mouse idea is good though 👍
