I think this is one of those situations where anyone in the community a certain amount ~knows the answer, but offering a direct answer in public opens him up to a bunch of bs from people who aren't actually in the community/press/those shitty youtube blogs that pretend to be "press." Plausible deniability is a really different thing than actually being opposed to people knowing about something.
