When I was stationed in S Korea I dated a N Korean defector. I took her to an American supermarket on post (commissary) one time and she stated crying. She couldn't believe the amount of food that was available and the choices and variety of what there was she was somewhat overwhelmed. She started to break down and I asked her why and she said that the N Korean regime lied to her about how the American capitalist system was broken and the American were the ones that were starving. It was really eye opening.

As a Black Women it makes me disappointed hearing people defend the women that stole her wallet. Honesty, during the BLM situation there was a lot of people attending the protests for the wrong reason, and using it as a opportunity to hurt others. I've heard countless cases where people kill, rob businesses or even harass innocent ppl. Anytime someone tries to stand up for themselves people find a way to call them racist for doing the right thing. It's disgusting how horrible behaviours are allowed even in protests that should be about advocating and creating a safe but welcoming space for others that can express their issues. I hope these protests can hold those who do wrong accountable so people aren't targeted.
