  • Saving classic Internationals from fields and barns across the country, Ben Palmer goes in to how he got his start and what he us up to now. Not everyone loves what they do, but Ben has one awesome gig, and has a lot of fun doing it to. This guy is a storyteller and unfortunately we only had an hour to hear just a few of them. We will for sure do a round two down the road.

Ben has got to be the easiest person you could possibly interview
    Motorheadz: “How’s it going Ben!”
    Ben: Finishes interview 😂

@CaseyLaDelle, yes, now we learn the "rest of the story ", when you video your visit to Ben 's and remark about how many Internationals he has in his yard.

You are getting/telling better stories of everyone in your videos than 99.9% of what other forms of media do. Keep it up.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one! Loved listening to Ben's stories. Reminds me of my dad's stories...he had a lot of them! Hope to see more 406 Garage on RUclips soon! (Casey has some interesting and great friends!)

Ben's channel hasn't been updated for months and months! Now here's my IH story:
Darn it but I do miss my 1968 Scout 800, straight 6 cyl, 4x4 with a 4 speed manual, A/C, carpeted. Beautiful near showroom condition, it was a dealer test drive model bought by a forestry company field supervisor. Used it a few months in 1968-69, hurt his back and parked it. I bought it out of his family's garage in 1995. The crazy thing was it had been maintained, but not used. Annual drive by a family member to a IH dealer in Tucson or Phoenix, change all the oil and rubber stuff and basic tune-up and back in the garage. So all original IH parts but the miles on it were like it was a year or two old. White over red, very typical colors. I put some good tires for off roading on it and used it some in my SAR volunteer years, also responding to calls with the local VDF. I was forced to sell it to pay medical expenses. Someone in Oregon bought it, sent me a check and arranged a car hauler to pick it up. The buyer only saw photos on the internet, we spoke on the phone and never met. That was 1997, and I still regret selling it even though the profit went into my mortgage and other expenses during a bad time. Still, I wish I had the money today to buy another like it.

Excellent interview with Ben, and it was neat to hear some more of his personal history and how he's gotten to where he's at today. This was kind of a continuation of his sessions with Casey - which made it all the better. Love these interviews that you guys are doing - keep them coming!!

Your hard work and showing by example is "priceless" for your sons.
Imagine what it will be like in the future for your grandkids to come and sit on the porch and ask, " why do you have so many Internationals".😅

Ahh, such fun! & the background on the folks I'm already subed to, is very kool! As to being a good parent, its a privilege, not a right! You've got a job, to help them become better persons. Such a short time to help set a foundation, that they will build upon... (I've got lots of stories, lol!). Thanx !

There seems to be a pretty solid new generation of ol' boys there around Bend. Casey has posted some great stuff for Christmas, and Public Lands Stewardship where they pool resources, have fun, and make their corner of the world a better place.
