Just tested it. You end up defeated with these units remaining: fishing ships, transports, trade carts, trade cogs. However, you do not get defeated with camel or horse - and all those suckers can do is scouting. 11
As for buildings, you are dead if only towers or feitoria stand (and the donjon is apparently not excluded from towers). So, theoretically... if you found yourself in situation just with feitorias and donjons (and houses obviously), no endless serjeants for you, you just take the L. 11
TO defeat you need to kill every production building, all army, and all villagers. Fishing ships & Transport can't build new buildings, and can't attack the enemy, so you can't win with only those. You need to kill villagers because they can build other production buildings
What if there is wonder, do killing all unit and production buildings will be enough to win?
Hey i could totally win with just a fishing ship! what if my opponent's last unit is a vill is being chased by a boar, on shallows, and i can block the boar? Microsoft pls fix
Playing against AI and asking them not to resign should teach you which units and/or buildings are required after a match or two.
I wonder if it isn't a defeat if there are vills or military in a transport ships

in the original aoe2 if you had any unit alive you are still in the game. I remember staying in a super long team game with a single sheep tucked away in the woods after I got rushed down. I stayed in the game another 20 minutes till I let my sheep turn into an ally sheep and it defeated me
Fishing ships, trade units, transports, trade ships, and for some weird reason don't ask me why but the monks that ride on the donkeys do not count as required units to destroy to end a game. I found that out doing a me vs computer units.

I feel bad for blue. He had the right attempt to counter with knights but didn't keep the production up without selling some food for gold.

Hey T90, I'm a long time fan since the old days, been away for a while, tried playing the campaign recently and it is so hard! I cannot get past Saladin. Have you made any videos on the campaign missions? It would be fun to see some noob vs pro strats I think
as a low elo legend, im trying to get past all campaigns in hard, and saladin was a very difficult one (at least to me), i can suggest you to go on the wiki campaigns pages, and look at the "strategy" part, also ornlu_aoe has videos on all campaigns if i recall correctly ! hope this helps, and good luck =)

Ornolu the wolf has done some with the new AOE2 and the viper did them all in the HD edition
There’s also a wiki that goes into strats for every missions and make sure you read the comments on the wiki per mission to see other peoples strats

Ah Islands. I have a fun ranked match on that map. In the end, we switched islands. He sets base on my island and attacked me. I escaped to his island. Set base there. Destroyed his base as he destroyed mine on my old island. Fun stuff. We were both at the end like: LOL WE SWITCHED ISLANDS

If a unit can't do damage or build/create something that can do damage...at some point AI would never resign so I learnt that way
at least it wasn't a tournament for blue

As a comment on the pick Civ topic. No low-elo-legends player choses random civ! Even if you have no idea what the Civ is doing or how to utilize their Bonus, you will dedicately pick a Civ as a low-elo-player!
Dravidians not having strong Elephants should be fixed.
Although north Indian armies had good elephants, most of those elephants were bought from South india, from the dravidians who captures and trains wild elephants.

Hey T90, can you ask the devs for the first fishing ship to have auto-scouting on it please? I noticed the ai does it automatically and manually scouting the sea for fish is always so painful.
Just shift click around the mini map? only takes a few seconds
He can't win the game under ANY circumstances with fishing and transport ships, so he's lost. It's for the same reason that if you have a barracks, you can conceivably win since you can make units that output damage. A market for example cannot cause damage, ergo making the game impossible to win.
I'd be interested to know if this applies in a King of the Hill game.
I usually like LEL but I loss braincells watching this one. Too bad for Blu.

GG Islands are so fun. But please please please dont tell people to use small trees. They are an abomination! Makig the game so uggly and stopping players from learning how to play the game. In the end. Non fighting units does NOT count except camels and horses i guess couse the game concider them beeing in the same category as Light cav and camel riders. You learn something every time you play this amazing game.😎
to everyone who reads this: this video is not worth watching at all. it's just two mediocre players with regular strategies and tactics. nothing surprising happens. the loser goes quietly afk at the end when almost completely defeated. go watch legend of isit or wall or ace of emeralds if you want your low elo legends fix. this video is not it.
