That's awesome!!!! The Grom is insanely fun! Thank you for the sub! I really appreciate it. If you havent checked out the completed project, you gotta check it out! It turned out pretty dang good!!! Thanks again for the support!
Dude. I enjoy painting and am pretty good at it. Vinyl wrapping on the other hand is another story... can wrap to save my life! Legit so bad at it. I feel like you need 8 arms to appropriately wrap anything that's not a giant flat panel!
Dude! Thank you so much! I sincerely appreciate that. I really like creative side of filming and editing, so mixing that with my passion for bikes and racing is a blast. Thanks again for taking the time to comment 😀
It came out REALLY good. Sadly, when I got the plastics in the sun, the paint looked pink 😔 So I had to re-spary them. Still came out good. Just more work go get them the right color.
@@TonyGenerali haha, better than messing up. I just hit the track in Cresson on Friday, and I fixed a lot of what I was doing wrong. I crushed my lap time by about 8 seconds, and I didn't even push. I'm feeling really confident and amped, I cannot wait to get back to racing :(
You 100% can. The Rustoleum paint and primer I use has has a really nice shine even without a clear coat, so I don't. A clear coat would be preferred, but I've had really bad luck with it, so I stopped trying to spray clear
Before painting I used 400 grit to get rid of any deep imperfections. Then I stepped up to 600. Laid paint and clear. After paint and clear, I used 1200-1500 to wet sand and buff. I got a wet/dry sandpaper kit from Walmart that had several 400-2000 grit sheets. Hope that helps!
I sand the primer as well
It made a big difference in the overall quality of the paint job... came out pretty dang good!!
Got a 2017 honda grom myself currently painting definitely subbed

Nice vids ! Gonna paint my grom clone
Do it!!! As long as you spend the time prepping the bodywork, it should come out great!
For ten bucks that's the cleanest a paint job can be! I can't paint or plastidip plastics to save my life so I caved and vinyl wrapped my bike haha

Always enjoy watching your videos. Very clean rattle can paint job!
It's no Kris Generali paint job, but it'll do!
Should u use a sealent after the application of the paint of your color choice to seal it?

@@TonyGenerali makes sense, thanks for the advice. I know exactly what you mean.
What sand paper did you use?
