"Girls were hot wearing less than bikinis" Wouldn't that mean Vanilla Ice went to a nude beach? I mean that's the only thing I can think of. Also isn't it hilarious how people called Eminem the next Vanilla Ice when he was first getting into the mainstream?
There's definitely a degree of logic in the comparison. If you listen to Eminem's really early stuff before he was bit and the voice wasn't too different. Even now Eminem's sorta nasally to the point where he joked about it on Shady XV. I guess the difference in talent must've been overlooked a little though. From what I can tell, Vanilla Ice is okay with the comparison but doesn't really see it.
That sounds like he's telling people to go to church to me. Collaborate and listen is better imo. It's like he's telling people to work with him in trying to understand what he raps. He needs the help.
@@ButtKickington I know you were making a joke but "collaborate and listen" doesn't have to imply that you suck. A more lyrical MC can ask you to collaborate so that their well-crafted bars don't go over your head. Also "now congregate" maybe wouldn't have been the best bar but that has nothing do with being associated with churches. Congregate does not strictly mean "assemble in a church" and if that's the only way you knew how to use the word then that's good. A lot of great hip-hop builds on or challenges the listener's vocabulary so it could have been cool if he did that. In fact, you could throw in some religious/church wordplay in the bar before congregate and actually say something really cool. The only reason to use collaborate instead of " now congregate" is because the latter doesn't flow as well in that part of the song.
