The hook was good, "dont fall on my face" like his last album arguably he felt tht way & dont fall on his faith becuz the content of it, you dont know anything you're dumb
Not only that, it holds a lot of layers that went over RC's head. Charlemagne disses Eminem for being dated. And what's more dated than ancient history? He took inspiration from the ancient Charlemagne who took decades to win his wars because he fought so many at once. Likewise Em is so busy calling people out and fighting his battles that he wouldn't get to any of them right away. Pretty stellar wordplay and meaning there.
Rick Novack doesn’t make it a good diss. With a Em’s level of skill he can do so much better. That was average at best. I grew up on Em among other artists, and this line is far from his best or being a good line. It’s passable.
I think the radar line is saying that Eminem's so famous that it took forever for him to hear about what Charlamagne said because he's not as famous. So it only popped on his radar now that's why he's responding
RC knows what it meant he just said the other, could be possible meaning to it which dtill sounds like a reach. Hes trying to say that that lines is not as good as it sounds, its not that clever when you compare it to his others bars.
He said far away because Eminem is so far ahead of Charlemagne's career, What he says em doesn’t hear right away because he’s not top priority, well unless he said something about hailie.

The thing I have always found odd about Em is that he is reluctant to call himself great. Rap God doubts himself as the greatest. The Greatest says he’ll get there but isn’t there yet. He constantly doubts his own skill. In the kamikaze interviews he mentioned he backed off slaughterhouse because he thought he might be the problem. How do you go hard at someone in a diss when you are unsure of your own level and skill set? Every MC acknowledges his skill and technical wizardry, but it’s like he thinks they are lying. And when he describes his shots as taps, he’s not even going hard but saying he is. Em is a juxtaposition and a paradox. ... now I need to figure out what Patreon tier I need to subscribe to get you or Justin Hunte or Murs to discuss that part.
Amy Nero eh nah. It's more like his perception of where em is coming from on this album. Somehow RC is under the delusion that the piece of mediocre bars and overdone subjects that is revival is somehow an achievement in ems career and not the big brown stain that it is. So for RC kamikaze isn't the return to the top that it is for most of ems fans.
I agree with damn near everything you said. But I do believe the Its to loud part of the chorus is em dealing with all the people talking about him. Similar to when you see someone getting enveloped in a crowd just ot be drowned out by all the noise that everyone else is making. This song to me is Em standing up as high as he can in this crowd of people judging everything he does, and saying fuck it im going in on you all. I dont care when, or what, im calling you out on everything I remember.
That's the problem he has hit a level where he can no longer distinguish genuine criticism from disses and coatriding so the result a muddled mixture of his strengths and the lazy habits developed from years of not having genuine competition. He's amazing but he falls into self constructed pitfalls. This is from a diehard emeniem fan he needs to sit down and evaluate the album and find the things that people say don't work examine and determine why he does or doesn't agree if the only conclusion he can come to is oh they just haters then he should probably hang it up he's been self aware for far to long to stop know.
He also has lost his energy, which he had on Recovery. Kamikaze is kinda the same type of album, but it did come out worse than his previous version. After Relapse we have Recovery, after Revival - Kamikaze. Recovery had catchy hooks, criticism, self-awarness, good beats. Kamikaze sounds like he's trying to fill the gap, which was on Revival, instead of making new stuff.

As far as the Charlamagne diss goes I think he kind of sets up the reason why his references are so dated. He doesn't pay Charlemagne or the other people he referenced a large amount of attention, I wouldn't be surprised if he only found out about the disses because he did a Google search of his name one day out of boredom or curiosity. He seems to keep himself pretty distanced from what's going on around him in the industry, which can often make him come off as or be out of touch i.e. (response is late because ur not on his list of priorities/what he pays attention)

the charlemagne radar line means that Em is so far ahead of Charlemagne, calling him insignificant in comparison, that it takes time for a comment from him to reach someone as great as Em
As the intro was Eminem getting annoyed by the “revival is bad” alerts, that’s what “it’s too loud” meant. Their opinions were “too loud”, clouding Eminem’s mind.
I would've loved a video critiquing Lucky You. Imho, best track on the album. Not a huge hip-hop fan, but I do enjoy your content. I like popping in every now and then and hearing critiques on the lyrics rather than "it was so fire!" and what not. Keep it up Rap Critic.
Im glad you’re like, the ONE person who’s critical but still fair when it comes to critiquing Em. Everyone else are just blind dicksuckers/apologists or blatant jealous haters. Nice to know you’re that much needed middle ground.
Sorry to hear that. I'm just here to see what my favorite rap critic thinks of my favorite rappers newest song. By the way, don't fall on my face. And don't fall on my faith either. They're both pretty damn huge and hard to see.
Dude, Tyler actually does call himself a f*ggot. I mean, Tyler actually uses the word in half of his discography, so Em was playing Tyler at his own game. And the Earl the hooded sweater line was actually dope
Yeah, there's a difference between an LGBT guy using that word in either an ironic or reclaiming sense, and a straight guy using it as an insult towards someone he should know is gay.
@4:50 Actually its not just that instance. Tyler and Earl have been clowning on Em for years, Since Shady XV, then walk on water and then on revival. So I think a response is justified.
Eminem Drop the hottest album of 2018. With kamikaze nothing else has even come close to this the whole album from me was fire except for the nice guy in the good guy like the last two tracks on the song wasn't a big fan of those the rest of the album is amazing
Was it really? I've been a fan of Eminem ever since his first album, but I'm not some fanboy, I can take some criticisms of my favorite rapper. And me personally, I'm not a fan of Not Afraid. Mainly for the beat. The lyrics aren't the problem. The beat is. But no matter what, I love listening to Eminem's music. I hope this album is as good as his other songs like Lose Yourself or Rap God. Not saying it won't be, I'm honestly just asking. I still plan on buying it anyways.
That Tyler reference is underrated though. He used the word "sack-religious" but with the double entendre could be perceived as "sacreligious" meaning disrespectful of a sacred figure. So, it's quite clever if you consider the set-up of the punchline being about homosexuality though I don't condone the use of the F word or anything either.
CNTRL Okay, fair enough... That was my 1st time hearing it, so, if it so ubiquitous could you name a few rappers using that line ? That's an honest request, outta curiousity.
What's weird about the Tyler diss is that Earl Sweatshirt made the insult, then Em praised him as a guy who should help Tyler write rhymes. I do not get that
I don't think Eminem brought up Joe Budden's past issues with domestic violence to criticize him, just to make wordplay out if him being a one-hit wonder.
The radar line means charlamange is insignificant to him. Like far as in the sense like, "I'm a super celebrity and you're a nobody". That kinda far if I'm making sense
I...I don't understand why people are still so surprised at the lyrics Eminem drops. It's been like, almost 20 years since The Slim Shady LP dropped (.....fuck, I'm getting old) we should all really be expecting these kind of lyrics from Em by now on anything that he does.
Hey, guy. In the end blurb ("This show is sponsored pretty much ..."), you should be using "its" instead of "it's." I'm not sure if you've been told, or even care, but it's been bugging me.

Hey @RapCritic, I follow your channel on RUclips and like some of your commentary. But I don't know if it's possible to verify my theory, that the kid shown in the No Love video with Lil' Wayne is the same(or maybe supposed to be the same) that appeared in the Venom video.
Yo, with "two letters" he meant OF, Odd Future, which Tyler sometimes referred to as "two letters" in his songs
It's still a late critique because OF is no more active lol
I think what he meant by "I'm so far away" like I'm wayyy above you and didn't hear that shit until it was old
He is responding to the disses from multiple years ago, because the public wanted The Real Slim Shady back, so he aimed at people who dissed him.
We should a review of A Milli.
That Earl the hooded sweater jab at Tyler's lack of multis accurate
Dude i missed your EM videos when it's just you talking to us
I missed these reviews. Bonus, great fro!
RC, what Eminem song do you wish had a music video to allow you to review it? Talking non-singles
Waiting for that Iridescense review for the podcast! I will warn you there is a few 'non rhymes' that might bug you but this album is SOOOOO GOOOOOOD FUCK
The "I'm so far away" line is Em saying he is in a class of his own.
One of the best RC videos in a while, love it!!
Still can't get over the fact that he used a Vietnam era American Plane for an album titled Kamikaze. Should have gotten a Zero or at least something Japanese, or at least WW2 Era.
Did i miss RC talk about Eminems MGK response Killshot? I was looking forward to it, but couldnt find it. Maybe just a vid in the making?
the charlemagne radar line means that Em is so far ahead of Charlemagne, calling him insignificant in comparison, that it takes time for a comment from him to reach someone as great as Em
"GrAb YA GLocKs wHeN yOu SEE 2PaC" Idk why I'm dying so much
This review sums it up so perfectly. I'll just send this to my friend the next time they asked me about my opinion.
As the intro was Eminem getting annoyed by the “revival is bad” alerts, that’s what “it’s too loud” meant. Their opinions were “too loud”, clouding Eminem’s mind.
You said the fact that faith sounds like you fell on your face. That's the punch to the chorus
The chorus sounds like he's saying "Don't fart in my face"
RC Ty for your Vids. They always make my day
I would've loved a video critiquing Lucky You. Imho, best track on the album. Not a huge hip-hop fan, but I do enjoy your content. I like popping in every now and then and hearing critiques on the lyrics rather than "it was so fire!" and what not. Keep it up Rap Critic.
Bro the Tyler diss and Budden diss are dope
That’s faith line got me holy crap 😭
Lmfao that intro i am dead 💀🤣🤣🤣😂
Im glad you’re like, the ONE person who’s critical but still fair when it comes to critiquing Em. Everyone else are just blind dicksuckers/apologists or blatant jealous haters. Nice to know you’re that much needed middle ground.
1:04 Best RC moment of 2018.
BTW, why does RapCritic keep deleting my comments????
Sorry to hear that. I'm just here to see what my favorite rap critic thinks of my favorite rappers newest song. By the way, don't fall on my face. And don't fall on my faith either. They're both pretty damn huge and hard to see.
You ain't posted in so long, I fucking love you
Dude, Tyler actually does call himself a f*ggot. I mean, Tyler actually uses the word in half of his discography, so Em was playing Tyler at his own game. And the Earl the hooded sweater line was actually dope
so em can call any black rapper that uses the n-word a N***** because they use it in their songs
*listening to Fall when I see this video* holy shit
That Tyler reference is underrated though. He used the word "sack-religious" but with the double entendre could be perceived as "sacreligious" meaning disrespectful of a sacred figure. So, it's quite clever if you consider the set-up of the punchline being about homosexuality though I don't condone the use of the F word or anything either.
saxyrep1 that bar has been used so many times before its not even funny
CNTRL Okay, fair enough... That was my 1st time hearing it, so, if it so ubiquitous could you name a few rappers using that line ? That's an honest request, outta curiousity.
saxyrep1 it’s not underrated, it’s overrated.
That's a really weak double entendre. The difference of meaning between the two is negligible.
Lol what are guys talking about....look at the salty people...it was an okay bar...but you people are just being weird at this point
GRAB YA GLOCKS WHEN YA SEE TUPAC
Or maybe we should assess the situation a little more, y'know. Shouldn't jump to conclusions.
What's weird about the Tyler diss is that Earl Sweatshirt made the insult, then Em praised him as a guy who should help Tyler write rhymes. I do not get that
Last time I was this early MGK had a career
That sack-religious line was my favorite one from the lyrics
Valid points RC but I still like the song, also that Pac impression 💀
When Em says his response is late its because he's far away: he perhaps means he is on a different level
Earl sweatshirt is one of the most underrated and complex rappers with the one of the best rhymes in the game
I don't think Eminem brought up Joe Budden's past issues with domestic violence to criticize him, just to make wordplay out if him being a one-hit wonder.
he is saying he isnt on his radar
That Grammys comment aged well...
6:44 I DIED😂😂😂😂😂😂💀
THE LONG WAIT IS OVER
The radar line means charlamange is insignificant to him. Like far as in the sense like, "I'm a super celebrity and you're a nobody". That kinda far if I'm making sense
What makes the video funny is the beginning when he jumps out the car cuz he’s mad about what ppl are saying on social media about him
I think it’s like some meta humor lol
I respect your opinion...
Even if it's wrong.
Do lucky you
Didnt expect you not liking the beat en chorus. I reallyyy did
I...I don't understand why people are still so surprised at the lyrics Eminem drops.
It's been like, almost 20 years since The Slim Shady LP dropped (.....fuck, I'm getting old) we should all really be expecting these kind of lyrics from Em by now on anything that he does.
Kamikaze was the dopest record he's made in years
Hey, guy. In the end blurb ("This show is sponsored pretty much ..."), you should be using "its" instead of "it's." I'm not sure if you've been told, or even care, but it's been bugging me.
"LYRICAL ANALYSIS OVERLOAD
YOU HAVE IMPLEMENTED MORE CLEVER RHETORICAL DEVICES THAN WE CAN PROCESS AT ONCE.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF HOD SLOW DOWN OR THE SUBJECT MAY EXPLODE.
STANDBY FOR REBOOTING" -The definition of a jawdrop 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
His name is *Ricka Ricka* Rap Critic!
You should do like an hour long review analysing Black Thought funk flex freestyle line for line😂😂
Do potato salad by Tyler the creator and asap rocky
React to Killshot (MGK diss)
I think the line about buddon, was more about the fact his career is already over and he never even got any big hits.
