I'm not entirely sure how you conduct a multimillion research project that needs at least an entire R&D department on deck and that you like to constantly brag about "in secret". Quite impressive.

So, Max Becker is hostile, an enemy...but not the culprit. It's a little impressive that Becker didn't throw a hissy fit after all of his droids were destroyed so easily. More of those droids might show up, so some more devastation to such a failure of a project. Hopefully, Wendell will have more answers on OCP's mole. Especially without being able to hide behind his precious lighter.
The bots Becker sics on RoboCop remind me of that scene in the second movie, they present the second candidate for RoboCop 2 and the thing rips off its helmet to show a human skull while screaming horribly. That one scared the sh*t out of me as a kid, it was so sudden.

The UEDs have the same body as one of the rejected Robocop 2 designs from the second film. They also had rotting skulls of suicidal, cyborg policemen.
