From Lagos to Nola is the first single from the album Keep it simple to be released on March 28, 2024. Saxophonist Yann Jankielewicz, who was Tony Allen's last musical director, surrounds himself with two emblematic musicians of the New York scene: Jason Lindner on keyboards (David Bowie, Meshell, Avishai Cohen) and Josh Dion on drums (John Scofield, Randy Brecker). In this power trio formula, From Lagos to Nola bridges the gap between the vibrant megacity of West Africa and large American cities like New Orleans or NYC. Mixed by multi-award winning producer Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, Al Green, Tom Waits, The Bad Plus), the track offers an unstoppable groove with a rock energy sound.
