I loved this one working and teaching your son. This is what it's all about, training your sons skills and turning them into awesome men.I consider ourselves privileged to do this. I appreciate your videos Erika.
I really want to applaud the both of y'all for the way your raising your children. Ol Clarence is johnny on the spot. If children have a purpose from their parents, they will be productive.
I am so Proud of u for teaching ur Son so many skills. They r Definitely going to make him better and better with such great skills. A True Blessing Cody!
All joking and sarcasm aside… props to you Cody for passing all your knowledge and skills down to your boy. This is becoming so rare today. There’s a lot of dads watching you who really envy you for this. Most of us do our best in our own way. But you really set a high standard. Hats off to you! And props to Erica for not letting them hurt each other…😂
I like how all the young ones know it all. Mine learned after he was grown that he should have listened more. Clancy is listening and learning. It's a natural reaction to say he knows how to do something. Great young man, and parents. Keep doing you!
That's a dad setting his son up for future success so he's not illiterate in many aspects of farming Agriculture and construction and Automotive fields. And he will be self-sufficient motivated and highly educated and he will make a lot of money in the work field and he will save a lot of money due to the fact that he can do a lot of these skills himself!
Good on you Cody for showing your welding work. The welding community can be very harsh at times. I’ve been pipe welding for almost 8 years and there are some real Jack@$$ out there.
Completely agree ive had many friends that gave up on welding because of the old farts and some younger ones that think they are gods at welding. Just do your best and don’t listen to the negative farts. Always listen to the constructive criticism!!
I’ve been taking welding at my school, this is my first year welding at all and I still feel like I don’t know anything. I wish I could be in Clancy’s shoes and have someone to teach me at his age. Good work y’all!
I’m 67 yrs old been welding since 1975. AWS Certified 1978. Thought I knew everything. You need to know about welding I was your man! E-Rayed 3 foot vertical pass with 7018 if if it passed I could continue tank vessel. I busted test twice an older welder showed me what I was doing wrong. That day I decided I had room to improve and learn how to weld! E-Ray don’t play!
I love his inpatients but patients at the same time. Real life skilled passing down as my dad did for me. Is best advice in my 40 years of life.... keep you mind and HANDS BUSY and no time for trouble. Pass those skills and realistic into the young.. shoot that welder might not even fire.... and if it doesn't shift focus to the next task
an sponge full of water doesn't absorb anything so technically he didn't lie. All us farm boys thought we knew it all until we didn't... lol I do love how even though dads patience is tested it comes through in the end..
I'm a heavy equipment welder the stuff I use at work is the big machines but those little millers are awesome even if you want to go really cheap the harbor freight stuff works great too
Definitely going to be watching more now I know y’all are making knives too. It’s a fun hobby. I wish I had more time to devote to it, but it’s a great hobby where you can pick up whatever you’re working on, work on it for half and hour, find a stopping point, and easily come back to it tomorrow, or even 6 months later. Looks like y’all have a pretty sharp setup. And nice work young man, that grindwork is excellent. I haven’t watched many of your longer videos yet but I’ll definitely keep an eye out to see your finished blades.
Clancy needs some brogans for working at 56 years old I always have a pair ready in case of water, mud and animal messes. Much respect keep on ranching.
You say you are not a great welder but watching you weld pretty good. Looks as good as if a professional welder did it. I can’t see all the welds but it holds and is way better than a jack leg with his first welder.
I'd come remove all the rocks if you'd take me in and let me work on the ranch. Jusy feed me 3 times a day and I'd HELP with Anything and Everything. Working on a ranch is the best life anyone ukdlove. We don't have any livestock anymore due to my grandfather passing and he jusy wanted don't of it. Couldn't tell him different. But I'd love to come work for you guys and be great full in doing so. Yall keep Ranchin' Seriously.......
I’m sure there is a reason I’m unaware of. But why didn’t Cody just use a grinder with a cutting wheel instead of torch? I’m assuming he likes to live on the danger side 😅
That boy has a mouth in him and he needs to shut up and listen to his dad and the older folk that are trying to show him stuff just the way he says yah cause he thinks I’m gonna be better ya know ima whoop his ass but one day he’ll look back at all this and say ti his self Danm yeah I should have always listens to the older guys
Our child isn’t RUDE or ARROGANT. We banter in our family. It’s our love language. He is COMPLETELY respectful to us and to anyone he comes in contact with. Just because our little family interacts differently than yours doesn’t make him RUDE or arrogant. He knows the time and the place. Obviously you are new here. So welcome. We don’t take well to complete strangers we open our lives to calling our children names.

That kid doesn't know how good he has it.

GREAT father and son time working together, good job Cody
That's a fine young man ya'all are raising up
Hat's off
I was also a sponge when I was younger, no RUclips just grumpy old timers to learn from. . great video thanks for sharing.
Very cool…he is going to look back on this someday with his kids and be like “my dad taught me on this very ranch”
Nice to see kids learning things like this
He got that Miller in his weldin trailer ...I LOVE THIS GUY !!!! MAN, look at that shop !!!
Good Job Cody, You'll be a pro in no time. Keep Rachin' !!!

That is true for sure. They even go as far as tearing down youngsters because they can’t weld to perfection yet
Yeah the just belittle them, I think it’s because they are intimidated
Keyboard welding is really easy that’s why.
Proving my point
Completely agree ive had many friends that gave up on welding because of the old farts and some younger ones that think they are gods at welding. Just do your best and don’t listen to the negative farts. Always listen to the constructive criticism!!
Awesome as always great job on welding

What a great family! I'm jealous. :)

Thank you for having your seatbelt on!❤️
I'm a heavy equipment welder the stuff I use at work is the big machines but those little millers are awesome even if you want to go really cheap the harbor freight stuff works great too
That's good that you're teaching the kid how to weld but if i talked to my dad like that then i'd get thrown through a sheet of drywall

Yall need some sugar scoops 😂
My 9 year old likes to weld, too. Those Onan motors are hard starting boogers most of the time.
Job well done Cody

Great American father. There is hope !!
Get the lamb ready , for spring lamb . Because thier is nothing better then lamb on Easter Sunday.
As I used to tell my boy in my finest Irish accent ... Oh he's a fine boy as it were ! Ha . God Bless !!!
Love the welding caps 😭😭😭
Here is a perfect example of a father making a man out of his son and spending good quality time with him
He needs a good heavy duty Sawzall with a Diablo blade to cut those fence panels off. That what we use. Works great and saves time and acetylene.
The boy needs to wear some boots
.....absolutely love watching n cheer u guys on!
He’ll figure it out when his socks catch on fire
You say you are not a great welder but watching you weld pretty good. Looks as good as if a professional welder did it. I can’t see all the welds but it holds and is way better than a jack leg with his first welder.
Pops likes that stank 😂😂😂
I would love to ranch with them for a day or two
Check the differance between Washington and Texas lol
Great job young man ,mind yer pa ..😊🇺🇸😊
Old blue man has a real welder🤑
Another very interesting video Thank you
Instead of using acetyl gas at a high cost you can use propane off the b b q grill works just as good
14:45 thats a farmers weld if ive ever seen one. itll hold for what its worth.
I looked on the website and didn’t see any knives are y’all selling them?
why do you iron a crease in jeans?
Where can you go to buy your knifes
Whenever you knock off slag protect your eyes it’s not fun when it goes in your eyea
Make sure to keep your mouth closed also.. It doesn't feel to great when a hot piece of slag lands on your tounge either..
@@MarkLada yes definitely
Is there a place to buy the knives that y’all make?
Dad you think this would be bad if I licked it, ya I wouldn't lick it.. 😅 Didn't even faze dad with the question.
Where can 1 order a knife?
How do I buy a knife? And don’t Cody work leather? I’d love to get a belt tooled
Pull bottles instead of pushing them. 😛
Hello RUclips family got a email my -7 merchandise is on its way to the smoky mountains of NC 😊 keep Ranching 😀
Always a better way on those thin gates....flux core
Was that dc negative or positive?
On your welder
U using 6011 or 7018 rods
Most likely 7018.
Are you guys gonna sell these knives? I'd definitely be interested in purchasing one if they ever become available

Seriously.......

wish you coulda said “turn me up 5 bucko” 20:27
Cody, are you related to the guy that has the MuddyfootTV YT channel? Your voices sound similar and you both are from Texas.
Cody what’s your opinion on your new UTV ? I’m looking but can imagine spending that money.
Price of your knife
I would like to get one of your knives
You should match your oxygen and acetylene bottles in your trailer
Get That Bike Fixed Soon
❤😀
I’m sure there is a reason I’m unaware of. But why didn’t Cody just use a grinder with a cutting wheel instead of torch? I’m assuming he likes to live on the danger side 😅
Probably wanted to get his boy some welding experience so found a way to solve an issue but also get some welding in for the youngster.
Because a real fitter/welder doesn't own a grinder ,or so I've been told.😉
Cutting wheels are much more dangerous than torches
I would like to see a video of y'all working on that pickup
Done it
That boy has a mouth in him and he needs to shut up and listen to his dad and the older folk that are trying to show him stuff just the way he says yah cause he thinks I’m gonna be better ya know ima whoop his ass but one day he’ll look back at all this and say ti his self Danm yeah I should have always listens to the older guys
Where are the horses
We don’t have horses Jimmy.
6 inch grinder with a cutoff wheel and you'll leave that torch at home.......
Can we get a mic on Cody so we can understand him?
Yeah I was gonna say I can't hear Cody, but the welder and her talking blow my ears out haha
Queguapo
Your family squabbles are detracting from your videos…
I never would have even thought of speaking to my parents that way, rude arrogant children grow up to be rude arrogant adults.
