After the engine the only thing left is fine tuning really, and making the bike comfortable to you by adjusting the contact points (seat, pegs, grips, handlebar).
What do you think is the best upgrade if you can only pick one thing (just curious). And maybe you can buy bst carbon wheels for it, never seen that on a Supermoto. and do you really notice a power improvement of that double piped exhaust ? Looks cool, but does it work?
What clutch will you use ? You can try to shave some weight wherever it's possible (carbon and billet bits ) , handlebar , plastic... A set of lighter screw and bolt would be nice too.
Work of art!!! Beautiful built.. Personaly not much into mechanics, just a rider.. :-D so i would very appreciate if something like that was offered on the market in stock.. :-D
You should definitely mount some decent axle sliders and a muffler protector. And if you like some footpeg sliders, they are required on some of our supermoto tracks here in Europe.
Healtech Electronics got a lot of cool electronics like quickshifters, shiftlights etc. check them out they might have something you like. Im running their Quickshifter on my ktm 125 exc supermoto
Heard like super motos are very hard to maintain, like every some hour you have to change oil or do a teack run or less it damages the engine etc etc correct me if im wrong
It depends on the bike...the 701 Husky SM has more "street bike" like maintenance intervals, but the Husky FS 450 is the exact same bike as my FC 450 mx bike. So it will need maintenance after every race/weekend if you're competing at higher levels locally or in the AMA. I could go into greater detail if you need me to with specifics. Btw the Ducati Hypermotard is more like a "street bike" in terms of maintenance...it's a super supermoto if ya feel me. The original SM were basically enduro or mx bikes with different wheels, lights and a license plate slapped on them. Now we have manufactures making ready to race sm...and sm more friendly to the average rider who wants some of the capabilities of an original sm without having to pull the top end, change tires, etc after every weekend race. Hope this helps you.
If you go full spec on engine I assume you go for GET/Vortex ECU as well. Also look into large air intake with double injectors. Check www.bergos.de/technik/motortechnik/sonstiges/3973/tuning-ansaugrohr-husqvarna/ktm?number=10603018
You have done so much to the bike. It’s all awesome, but you could have started with an MX bike and been at the same place for way cheaper. Or get a MX bike and put the FS parts on it for a rain/B bike.
It would never work. Carbon fibre cannot flex like metal does. Flex characteristics are what give a bike great handling. Also the thickness of carbon fibre that will be required will make it mostly impossible to engineer the right tortional characteristics into the frame. It'll look amazing as a show bike but will handle like a school bus.
Swap the front rim to a 16inch, the Michelin 16.5 is garbage compared to the 16. And put an MTR linkage, changing the linkage progression is useless without completely changing the internal setup of the shock, and the MTR linkage is the best you can buy for ktms and husqys (they just put Lukas Hollbacker on the 3rd place in the World Championship and they have years of experience in the Supermoto world championship) Oh yes, also put a 5inch rear wheel and use it with a Metzeler k1, only the tyre is 1kg lighter than the Michelin and it provides a ton more grip, only downsize, it's more unforgiving on the exit of the dirt section and on the dusty tarmac
Good info! I was considering trying the metzeler tyres. I recently switched to the 16” Michelin and much prefer it. What’s the metzeler front 16.5” like?
@@jacquesevans1023 Metzeler made a new 16.5 for this year, they say it has the same feeling as the 17 but it's easier to use (the 17 is better than the 16 Michelin but you have to push really hard to use it properly, the 16 is far easier to use, even setting up the forks is easier with the 16). I would recommend the 16, here in Italy it's still the most used front rim (excluding who is sponsored by Metzeler, who uses the 17 mainly)
@@jacquesevans1023 it's kinda hard to compare on the same day, every tire needs the proper setup with the suspension. It can be you're far off with the 16 but it works with the 16.5 or the opposite
Then you will have anything swaped but the frame & plastics? 🤷🏼♀️😂 mabey yu only need to buy a frame then and can build a original fs again from the parts you have lying around 🤔🤷🏼♀️😂
I hope you actually show the engine swap, not just an after view of it. :) Great video as always, just wish they were longer.
And a dyno test ! How much are those race engine supposed to produce ?

The swingarm looks unreal. It's amazing how much material you can take off it.
It still weighs more than stock

But it can't weigt more than that.

Great series, where is the next episode for the FS450R ?
I love the SM quick shifter! It resolved my problems with my 701
Anything done with engine internals? Air filter? Tuning? Cooling system?
Killer build so far man! Such a trick bike. That swingarm is unreal.

Great build , what is the total cost for the build ?
Hi what's the race sag about is goog for supermoto ? Because dirt always is around 95 ~105 .Thx
They do a swing arm for the 701 as well but no one seems to have one. Are they worth it in your opinion?
I love all this information thank you Mike 👍🏾🇬🇧💯
Do you have any lap times with and without the swingarm only

What name of "fork bottoms" for your mounting your caliper sir? I cant found on google..
What sizes did you use for the front and rear tires?
Is a Dream bike ! Is awesome 👏 congrats 🍾
We 100% need to see the update to this.
What is the total cost of all these new parts and engine swap??
Thanks for sharing - any info on your lap times before and after the changes?
A good clean graphics kit always helps your lap times
Here is a crazy sick Husqvarna FS
The swingarm look so sick
You should definitely try out different engine mounts, FCP and CMT Carbon Compositi are the ones to look at imo

Twin header custom or market bro?

Where can i buy the Spider linksystem?
That swing arm is strange looking. Can you go into more detail on it?
Nice build!!!
Change to SELAB silicone grip cover, a seat cover made in Laxå Sweden, amazing grip many of the fastest Enduro rider in Swedish Championship use it.
Hello, It would be nice if you can make a video comparing and explaining the various technologies of airbag suits :)
do you need some type of kush drive for the rear wheel hub ? I'm new to the street moto
Nice to have but not an absolute necessity 👍
Yes for sure. Without it you will break your gearbox. I run Haan hubs with a cush drive
What are the 2 best mods?
Great bike, performance must be awasome. Cheers!

What an incredible bike! Full titanium hardware from racetech titanium might be a good addition.
