It looks like the tank bracket could have rotated 180 degrees and used the precut slots in a V shape instead of needing to drill your own. Good, straight-to-the-point video.
Thanks, I tried that originally and it set it too close to the jack up front. I probably could have made it work by expanding the notch, but it was easier to just get it where I want and drill new holes.
I have been looking at getting one of these mounts for a bit now, what's been holding me back was figuring out how to mount, thanks for making that easy.
I actually need a cover for my single tank. I have the same sigle tank mount as you do. Do you have the brand/part number for the single tank cover? Thanks!
Is the long threaded bolt in the middle that holds them together good enough to secure the tanks while driving? I have a single tank right now that the tank sits it very securely. Just wondering if this dual style is secure, being that the spindle is the only thing really holding the tanks in place
Yes, it's very secure. The only time I've ever seen them fail is if the wing nut isn't tight enough. I've taken mine over 20k miles and it's still just as secure.
It's a bracket I use for a manual trailer valet. I use it to move my trailer in and out of place or sometimes I'll use it to pull into a site facing forward. This is the one I use, but they make a lot of others. amzn.to/3OyRuEn
@@pineapplesmash6678 yes, it will fit the base, but will be a little bit longer for the plastic cover. I actually have the 30lb cover and 30lb bracket on mine, but I'm using 20lb tanks. The 30lb is taller, but the same width.
The only difference is thickness. White is single density and good for fittings up to 3/8" pipe. Yellow is double density and used for 1/2" to 2" pipe and required in methane or natural gas applications of that size and there's a pink tape that is triple density for 1" to 2" pipe. Again required in methane and natural gas applications of that size. Anything larger than 2" has to use pipe sealer or "dope".

No problem, good luck!
Can u add a quick connect video for grilling outside?
A video using the factory quick connect?

This is the one mine came with amzn.to/44RcJu0 there are others out there, but I never had any problems with this one.

@@RoadandReel Awesome, thanks definitely going to upgrade to the dualie
This video was very helpful. Thanks!
Glad it helped!
How do you make sure the plastic cover stays in place? Any retaining hardware at the bottom?
I run a small bungee underneath, but I've run this setup on other trailers for years without one.
Will this void my warranty if I do this set up? 2021 1800QS forest river
No, it shouldn't. It's the same process the dealership does when they add dual tanks.
What is that thing bolted on the left side of frame same side when u were talking about your propane lines and when your talking about ur bracket

@@RoadandReel I thought it was a distribution hitch holder 🤣🤣
@@pineapplesmash6678 haha, easy mistake. I get asked all the time about it.
@@RoadandReel hey i accidentally bought the 30 pd tank bracket will it still work for my 20 pound tanks

I think you are supposed to use yellow gas tape and not white tape, which is for water?

I picked up some different lines with gauges and when I switch them out, I'll be using the yellow stuff. I just used what was sent with these lines.
90% certain that machine screw @ 8:47 stripped btw. Might want to check that with a hand wrench
Yeah, I replaced that through editing magic. Thanks for looking out!
@RoadandReel good to hear 👌
Does the dual tank holder come with hardware
No, I used the old hardware from the single holder. I used four self tapping screws with 3/8" heads.
@@RoadandReel so the old hardware were the self tapping screws with 3/8 heads
@@RoadandReel is your camper a forest river single axle
@@pineapplesmash6678 No, mine is a Tandem Axle. My last trailer was a single axle and I did this same conversion to it.
@@RoadandReel awesome that's good to know I was concerned that this holder won't fit on my frame
