@@69wagonmaster I've had mine for almost 5 years and I still love it even though I have a pellet grill. I've started building my fire in a fire pit and then shoveling the coals into the offset. Once I have a good pile of coals, I add a single piece of wood at a time. This gives me great smoke and keeps my temperature from spiking so much.

@@dougharlow6037 it's either stated in some extremely fine print or they've started including it. This was a couple years ago now and it may have changed. The generator is still going strong, not a single issue this entire time.

@@Splif128 Fortunately, I don't ever plan on taking it out and it's a lot easier to remove the bumper than it is to remove the exhaust to put the bolts in the other way.

I broke my last one just securing the fly to the reel seat. It's sitting on my workbench and I'm debating whether or not to send it in. It broke on the 2nd section so I can't even order another section. That's 4 for me now...

I think it has to do with the wiring harness under the fuse box. I pulled mine and stretched it out and it seems to be working, but I won't know for sure until it gets really hot again.

@@randyneilson7465 a friend of mine who's about twice my age found that Penn 390 reel last year when her dad passed away. It was still in the original box with all the paperwork and parts. Considering it's on an Aftco roller rod, I sure hope he knows. And I sure hope someone keeps fishing with my gear when I'm gone.

Hey those old school Penn conventionals were solid back in the day, still are. I always get looks, then compliments on my jigmaster 500, both of them!

@@edcastillo4456 yeah, I have a couple of Penn 500s and I love them. The 3:1 ratio isn't too bad as long as you're not too deep.

@RoadandReel I've got a lot of old Penn reels, original, restored, and converted. They all still work. The Jig Master was a big innovation in it's time, and Senators are still widely used. I love them all. Of course they're made in the USA!

@@RoadandReel they start to come up shallower and into the bays in the fall to spawn I believe. My buddy has caught really big halibut on them

I figured it would have been ok, but I like to play it safe. I only ocean fish maybe 5-6 times a year and it's rarely on a boat. California has amazing fishing all over and I'm always down for a fishing trip. I'd love to do more on the ocean and I've been eyeing some of the fly fishing for Makos down there.

The one we have now, I’m assuming from the factory, is pretty thin. The one in the video looked pretty thick.

Not on this one. It has an expanding cap that will collapse when you compress the caliper pistons.

@@RoadandReel I ended up stripping the brake caliper bolt. forgot that it was the other way to loosen. lol got pissed off and put tire back on. Problem for another day. Whatever. Haha Thanks for the reply

There were 3 or 4 on the hook in this video. If I could get 5 or 6 on a size 10 bait holder hook, I would.
