I FMQed my first full quilt. I’m so pleased with it. I noticed it takes a lot more thread and there are hard to reach areas because I’m using a regular size machine. But I am very pleased with it. I also made the whole quilt using Batiks. All I have to do is the binding today and it will be finished. Thank you for all the videos and tutorials! You also inspired me because you’re a man. I don’t feel alone. corey
I managed to actually get a modern regular machine needle to work perfectly fine on my W9. You just need to put the needle in *just* past the screw and might have to fiddle a bit with it, but it can work!
Love your videos! Do you know where I can get a thing to convert my singer 66 red eye to a side mount screw. Right now it is a back screw. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Tim: Thanks for the vid. My prize is a Wheeler/Wilson #12 industrial with table that extends to the left and back and has a knee lifter, as well as reverse and 1 drawer. needlebar.org/nbwiki/images/2/2a/Ww12a.jpg It is almost ready for a trial. The bobbin is about twice as large as the bagel bobbin for the W9. It originally was in the upstairs of a mansion in the Summit Hill area of St Paul, MN. In those days the upstairs maid was responsible for the sewing, mending and child care. A young Swedish immigrant of age 19 was the upstairs maid and it was her gt grand daughter who sold it to me. We are not sure of how the machine ended up with the maid.
Glad all is well. I’m FMQing my 2nd quilt. It’s hard on the small machine but I really like the way it’s coming out. I’m sure with practice it will get easier. I find that glider thing is too small for a whole quilt, oh well, I’m getting there.
yes a presser foot is needed. the feed teeth on this machine do not lower. if you have a more modern machine it will probably have a way to lower the feed and that will make it easier.
I have this machine also. Thank you for sharing the information on where to get another adapter.
Wish there was a WOW emoji on here Mr. Latimer! I love the machine, your quilting is astounding!!
Thank you for sharing. I just bought a 9w. I'm cleaning it up and looking forward to using it.

Sometimes they will show up on Ebay if you search for vintage and antique sewing machine parts
Thank you
Those bobbins may be worth more than the machine!
could you give the dimensions of the ww9 attachment , make one to copy, or make some to sell. a lot of people would like to buy one from you
My singer attaches from the back. When can I get that adapter piece?
they are hard to find.....I looked for this one for a few years. I wish they still made them
you didn't thread correct the sewing machine ....
On the tensioner the thread supposed to be down to the front and once around the tension pulley .

What number is the old Boyle’s needle to fit the 9 Wheeler and Wilson?
127x1.
Dove posso trovare l'adattatore?
Sorry it is necessary to place the presser foot to make Quilting .... Do you lower your machine teeth?

Could you use a Wheeler Wilson No. 8 in the same manner
I think you could but I have not tried one (that is a machine I dont yet have in my collection)
Any idea as to the manufacture date?
the adapter was patterned in 1950. the machine is from about 1910
