If you live in Wales and particularly South Wales or the West of England then Cardiff is much the better option than battling the crowds and paying the huge prices at Heathrow. Especially true if you are flying Qatar to Middle East and Australasia.
If you gave me the choice of two i’d choose the A350, while the 787 is nice to travel in, i like the A350s higher ceilings and wider cabin. Thanks for watching!
Tell me, was this flight full?. I hope it was, seriously I wish it all the best of luck and Cardiff Airport. My company are hoping to put a VR Centre in the airport itself to add entertainment for waiting customers. Every little helps and the more investment that goes into the airport the better for Wales. About time they put a bloody dual carriagway from the M4 too the airport though, that is seriously needed. That and a direct train link from Cardiff Central would really help promote Cardiff in general.
I have to say it’s strange they didn’t choose to fly from Bristol considering the bigger demand and airport but I can understand that slots may have been cheaper at Cardiff and considering they are only 45 mins drive away . This flight is great for me so that I can reach Asia and Australia without driving 4 hours to London Gatwick or London Heathrow
Fynlay Davies yea but Bristol operates tui 787 fine but I know that Cardiff has a longer runway. It’s just strange because Bristol not only is closer to road connections but in terms of passenger usage , is a bigger airport
Very nice TR! I like the 787 as an airplane but what I definitely and absolutely hate is the "bad habit" of many 787 cabin crews (e.g. ANA, KLM, Etihad, American, United, LOT) to override your personal will and dim the windows to the darkest level shortly after take off until shortly before arrival. What is the use of wonderful large windows when you are not allowed to look outside? My inflight entertainment is "looking out of the window" and I hate to sit in a dark tube with no chance to really take a look outside and enjoy the clouds or the landscapes underneath. Because this completely takes away my fun and love of flying I try to avoid this - otherwise beautiful - aircraft in my future travel plans!
Thanks for watching. I feel your pain with this, I missed what i think would of been a fantastic sunrise over the Pacific once as the flight attendants kept the windows on dim until right before landing!
Thanks for taking the time to watch the video! I know the one you mean, I’ve also noticed it at Heathrow and Bristol, i’ve noticed it seems to be a common system across the world.
Thanks! I haven’t got any planned at this stage, but I do have a Flybe (To Dublin) and KLM (To Amsterdam) fokker trip report on my channel from travelling through Cardiff!
Dig the Buddhist monk, who has supposedly taken a vow of poverty, chowing down in the First Class lounge 😀😀 Trying to be healthy...so drinks water but eats the butter croissant and the fruit yogurt...should have just ate a candy bar as it probably has less sugar in it!
@@Horizon301. A few other reasons besides cargo. Cardiff Airport is strategically focusing on long haul now, whereas Bristol's strategy is decisively short-haul and low-cost. And of course the market is a bug factor, with Cardiff being a more major destination for tourism and business than Bristol.

Disembarking was always the best part......makes one appreciate the end of his flying days
Flown both the 350 and 787 from Heathrow. Definitely preferred the 350. Really was impressed with it!

Thanks Qatar airways for connecting my city to the world

Great flight. Very convenient for those living in South Wales.
did that flight last Monday sounds grammatically better.
Got a C1-Level certificate in English
Are the drinks unlimited on Cardiff to Doha flight?
Great trip report ☺ full view from me 👍 nice to see Qatar Airways in the beautiful country of Wales :)
Thanks for watching and the kind words. The Qatar flight is certainly a boost to the local area.
Great report, Qatar is certainly a market leading airline. Would love to try them myself sometime!
Thanks again for watching 👍🏻 Great airline in Economy class, one of the best, which is usually reasonably priced from a lot of UK airports to Asia.

It was around 2/3 full with business class being almost full. Good to hear your comments about the airport and VR centre plans.
Leg room looked a bit tight. I've noticed that on other 787s
I think tight legroom will only become more and more of a thing! Thanks for watching.
It's a tiny aircraft...stick to 777s or A380s for long-haul flights.
Jonnie Bangkok or A350-1000
I wish that I can fly from Cardiff but it's cheaper from London Heathrow.
Mr TourBuild It depends on where you live. The cost of fuel from Cardiff to Heathrow could outway the difference between the 2 flights
TourBuild You are kinda right however your paying more for the service closer to home

I think it’s because Cardiff has jetways and a slightly longer runway :)

Very enjoyable report. I notice at 2:45 that Doha Airport uses the same nondescript public address voice as Edinburgh Airport.

Runway is 34L. Great vid, thank you!
Thanks for that, a mistake on my behalf. Glad you enjoyed watching.
I enjoyed it very much, thank you for posting.
Good vid, love the clarity and print you can read.
Thanks!
Awesome video thank you in your opinion which one is wider a 787 or a 777
Thanks for watching. The 777 is definitely the wider aircraft!
Fantastic video man! Liked!
Thanks for watching and dropping the like.
Absolutely great...Keep up the good work. And I have subscribed and look forward to more great content. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and subscribing. I’m glad you enjoyed the report!
Good vid,no dorky music, use Qatar from Cardiff often myself, gave the vid 👍

Thanks for watching and leaving a comment.
What are your thoughts on Cardiff Airport?
Great. Quick and easy! Thanks for watching.
No problem, it was a great review, will there be any more reviews to or from Cardiff in the future?
Thanks! I haven’t got any planned at this stage, but I do have a Flybe (To Dublin) and KLM (To Amsterdam) fokker trip report on my channel from travelling through Cardiff!
Bonjour, what was the first aircraft between BKK and DOH ?
It was an Airbus A340-600.
Merci. Thank you
Is the lounge free
Pls respon because im going
I think there would be a fee on entry however I got in through my Priority pass. Thanks for watching.
@@AVCTripReports so can i eat there or I need to pay because the 14 I'm going there from Maputo to Doha to beirut
You pay to get into the lounge and the food is then free.
U must feel so sad that you got to pay
Opening clip is with A380 aircraft
Jagga Singh . A340-600 I think . Definitely not a A380 , as the outboard engines had thrust reversers , and the A380 doesn’t have them .
It’s definitely an A340-600, you can watch the trip report here! ruclips.net/video/w4yajD3xlcY/видео.html
Great video mate ! 5ubscribed
Thanks for watching and the subscription!
look at that wing flex!
Just doing what it's designed to do.

Flight from Bangkok to Doha.
could you please try doing more qatar airport or airways vidoes i enjoy them
I also have Qatar Airways A380, A350 and A340 reviews on my channel so feel free to check them out 👍🏻
What aircraft did you fly on to get to Doha
Airbus A340-600.
I love scrambled eggs
Looked a very poor load on that flight, thank goodness freight is growing
Thanks for watching! The crew said there was about 154 passengers on this service.
what do you think about qatar airport
Excellent 👍🏻
*wingflex*
Thanks again! What a beautiful Airport. Now how do they keep all that sand from getting sucked up into the engines? lol. just kidding...
Thanks for watching! It’s certainly an impressive airport.

That Buddhist Monk came all the way from Bangkok on the same flight as me! Thanks for watching.
@@AVCTripReports Not surprised...see them all the time in Bangkok at the phone shops buying the latest Samsungs and iPhones!
They should have chosen Bristol instead. Makes far more sense!
Cheers for watching. I think cargo is a big factor in this flight operating. I believe Bristol don’t have the facilities like Cardiff to handle it.
AVC Trip Reports yeah that must be the case then otherwise it doesn’t make any sense as to why Cardiff was picked.

Long wait at Brizzle Airport if your wanting a flight to Middle East.
