- A new season of hermitcraft! Season 10 episode 1, we are ready to start fresh again with lots of fun ahead. My starter base this season begins as tiny boat build, probably my most unique base idea yet. I am surrounded by lots of other hermits, and am excited to expand!

Yes! Correct me if I’m wrong but, I’m pretty sure that Gem (who got 3rd place in Secret Life) is the person who (excluding 3rd life) got the highest placement in their first season/game.

The “Gem is Great” bit was hilarious. Etho editing the signs to remind Gem of her greatness, then joking on her for having signs of encouragement to ensure she knows of the signs is peak older brother energy and I’m all here for it. Can’t wait to see more Gem and Etho collabs in the future.

I have a feeling Gem is somehow gonna give us 'Eldritch Horror but make it cottagecore', given that she's made the boat from Dredge. (Also I loved that game, so so good)

@@HSuper_Lee highly recommend it honestly. Of all the hermits - hell, of all the RUclipsrs in general I watch - he's the one I've watched the longest (I think I started in like 2012-ish?) He was basically my introduction into hermitcraft and some of these amazing RUclipsrs such as Grian, Scar and Gem, so you should give him a try!
I think Gem mentioned liking the idea of dragon elements in her design a bit ago, and I feel like considering she started by treasure hunting with Etho then going to live around a cave area before her boat base. Sea dragon Gem!

I feel like cherry biomes have a magical vibe to them. You all should each build a wizard tower themed after your mega base, above your starter bases on top of the mountain. Then you can be the Hermitcraft wizard council, and even build a secret meeting hall inside the mountain.
I love seeing Gem interact with people, it’s always wholesome, chaotic, or both.

I'm loving the lore hints. The fisherman's daughter sailed into the sea once her father died to explore the world and turned to piracy along the way 😅.
Hearing Gem hum "I'se The B'y" and then realizing "Brings 'em home to Liza" is the parrot... I see the little Newfoundland nods in this episode and I'm here for them!
Gem jumping around cherry leaves with a sword, "crack to crack" actually the whole crack part had me crying! And so many other moments are why I love the Hermits and Hermitcraft! So happy to start the new season!

I love the hollow mountain and how there's what, six? different bases all leading into it. The inside is gonna look fantastic
Previous definition, I think by Grian, of "MEGA" concerning the base, stated that it is not about size. So going for details this season, you could go "MEGA-Detail" base. Other hermits coming to your place and go "wow the amount of mega details" make it still a mega-base. \o/ go for it!
I love that Gem and Grian have such a sibling-like chemistry with each other. Also the fact that the cherry blossom mountain is the GIGGS Squad + Joel and Mumbo

Another option for a crab pot would be to use the new Copper Grate - You can also waterlog it so you can have a few of them in the water near the boat looking like they've just been placed there. Can't wait for this season!
I think Tango tried water logging the Copper Grates but there seems to be a graphic error since the coding doesn't know which graphic should be loading... The water or the Copper Grate. I think Mojang had the same problem with the water logged leave blocks.

About your boat being one block high in the water. you can add blocks of water around it to make it look like waves caused by the boat and from different angles it will help to hide your concerns about the boat being one block high in water

@GeminiTay... You don't need to lower the boat. Use water at the front to cover the blocks above the waterline and add cobwebs to create a wake in the water to show that its moving along.
EDIT: I haven't been able to play Minecraft since my PC exploded before Christmas, but i've filled out an entire notebook with build designs and redstone contraptions. It appears my brain is hardwired with Minecraft eventhough my PC is not!

The details on your boat came out so well! I'm especially glad that you went to the effort of adding the fenders - that's the name of the tires which stop it from being damaged when it knocks against a wharf. Even though the boat might ever move under its own power, there's a real sense that it could, which is very cool to see.

I would like to go on record to thank GeminiTay. I ran across your channel back in 2019 and once you joined the XLife series it opened the Minecraft door to so many other smps and minecraft content creaters. In my world, it all started with Gem. Gem truly is Great!!

This is such a small detail- but I'm picky and a sound designer and I just gotta point out that Gem's background music is the perfect volume
