With the entire 2013 team gone, I cannot wait for Secret Base's Collapse series on the Super Bowl Seahawks team and how they fell from Super Bowl contenders to the only team in the NFC West to not make the playoffs.

Yeah but like, does 9 years count as a collapse? Do you know how many teams can sustain wins for almost a decade? Like they did one for the Panthers, which made sense cause they went from a Super Bowl appearance to 5 wins in 2 seasons not 8

Tbh, having a lot of picks is as sure a sign for future success as having a great QB; if only half the guys they get in the next couple of drafts work out, the Seahawks will be more than fine

Way too accurate. This was the last season distilled into 200 proof pain.
Only part that wasn't accurate was the belief in tre flowers at the begining. The only one who believed in him was Carroll.

I agree with Patrick Marrs. I was devastated losing to Patriots in SB 49, but still had high hopes. But after 3/8, and how they treated Bobby Wagner (not to mention KJ Wright the year yearlier), I'm pretty much done rooting for this team. So, yes, 3/8/22 is the darkest day in franchise history in my book.
I still think Ken Behring purchasing the team was our low point. Remember the aborted move to LA?

@@alexhanley933 The other thing is that they've been hit by a truck in regards to injuries. They've gone huge stretches missing some of their top guys, like Jordan Eberle and Brandon Tanev (who's out for the year and is probably the Kraken's best, most consistent player). Goaltending has also been really bad most of the season, even though they were supposed to have one of the top GK tandems in the league.
I think you have to be from Seattle to know that. Like I lived in Sacramento and know about the Panthers. But I don't know D leagues teams.
As a packers fan in Washington, I am showing this to every person I know. I can also confirm that the mood of people is currently grayer than the weather

You know, it's amazing how after the Super Bowl loss the Seahawks have just been slowly declining and now have all but completed their collapse. The only member from the Super Bowl team remaining is Pete Carrol.

Watching this Today 10/24/22 is so interesting as the seahawks (might) be good and the Mariners went to the playoffs (and did really good).
Since one of my good friends is a Bengals, fan I was pumped when the Rams won the Super Bowl. Also as Bobby Wagner is my all-time favorite player it broke my heart when he got released.

Honestly even though it's upsetting to me I don't really see it as a bad decision. We probably weren't gonna win the next couple years with the division stacking itself so high and our defense playing so poorly. While it would've been better to have solved these issues earlier so we didn't have to get to this point, this is the next best thing. I do wish we got at least one more second pick or another player but it didn't feel like a horrible deal. I am very interested in who the next QB is gonna be seeing how its not going to be Jimmy G. I doubt they would give up Wilson for picks just to use a pick on a QB like Malik but not impossible, although imo Malik is going to the Panthers. Maybe Bridgewater or Newton. Maybe Mariota or Love but I think if we are planning on getting a long term QB it would be in the draft next year.
