I believe when applying powder foundation, you must first apply your concealer since liquid doesn’t work well on top of powder and maybe the reason why the portion you applied concealer after powder caked up. I like bare minerals original mineral foundation definitely not their Matt and I like Laura Geller balance and brighten mineral foundation definitely not their balance and glow. I wish we could purchase samples of this - great video and demo as usual

For a powder foundation I would expect MUCH better oil control. It doesn't look *bad* but I feel like for the price it should be flawless, and not oxidize. You have beautiful skin, though. I'm jealous. 😄

I have been loving the Jouer hydrate & set powder to set my under eyes. It’s so nice but I’m so excited to try this powder as well. I would use it on top of liquid foundation for me personally. ❤️❤️

Hey Nikkia, thanks for yet another awesome and honest review, especially for us oily gals! I noticed you opted for shade 290 - are you the same shade in the Fenty pro filter matte foundation? I am a lot deeper than you (medium deep/tan) and I wear 280 in the liquid but because it sets on me to several shades darker (I am super, super oily). Just wondering if the same is true for this powder foundation and therefore I should expect shade 280 to set much darker, or I will need to rediscover what my match is in the powder version.
@@jordan110 i ended up buying 280, just like the liquid (matte) version, it is a perfect match. I am mixed, too, probably that is why it is a challenge to find the perfect shade even among 50.😄

Kind of late but I used to have the same problem, try using a color corrector before concealer, look for a pink one (light skin), peach one (medium skin), or red color (dark skin) hope this help!

I saw that review as well.. the only powder foundation that has worked for me is Mac studio fix powder + foundation i have used it since 2006 daily but it has been breaking me out.. a part of me wants to test this out but i have spent so much on testing other powder foundations and I always go back to mac. The one that came close is MUFE velvet powder foundation.

I’ve never used a powder foundation before. Do you set it with powder as you do with your regular foundation ? Sorry if it’s a silly question but I honestly don’t have a clue 😁
You don’t have to if you don’t want to. Personally I do set any powder foundation w/ the same powder I use w/ my liquid foundations but that’s only because I have an oily T-Zone. If I don’t set I’ll be oily sooner than I would like.
i just bought this powder and it was my shade in the compact and when it was on my skin it oxidiced a shade darker. but when i tried it on my skin without primer and concealer it looks better. but then my pores get more visible. do you have any tips to make it work? primer no primer? im like you oily and have large pores. any other ways to use it? if not as a foundation
I've been watching a bunch of videos and most people suggest going up one foundation shade. I ordered my product at midnight one shade lighter (430 I normally wear 440/445) I can't wait to review it on my channel
Be aware that the higher number doesn’t just mean darker. 440 is deep with warm undertones and 445 is deep with warm olive undertones. 430 is deep with warm golden undertones.

@@naliasimri7676 Ya I get that! I have had the same experience. My Studio Fix+ foundation is an old standby for sure. The MUFE one too!!! I would REALLY love to find another Holy Grail, but I don’t know, this launch feels like it may be disappointing 😞

Is it similar to makeup forever blurring powder foundation?
I’ve never used a powder foundation before. Do you set it with powder as you do with your regular foundation ? Sorry if it’s a silly question but I honestly don’t have a clue 😁
You don’t have to if you don’t want to. Personally I do set any powder foundation w/ the same powder I use w/ my liquid foundations but that’s only because I have an oily T-Zone. If I don’t set I’ll be oily sooner than I would like.

I set mine with Powder on top.. Powders have different uses. If you don't set foundation you definitely won't set this

i just bought this powder and it was my shade in the compact and when it was on my skin it oxidiced a shade darker. but when i tried it on my skin without primer and concealer it looks better. but then my pores get more visible. do you have any tips to make it work? primer no primer? im like you oily and have large pores. any other ways to use it? if not as a foundation

I've been watching a bunch of videos and most people suggest going up one foundation shade. I ordered my product at midnight one shade lighter (430 I normally wear 440/445) I can't wait to review it on my channel
Be aware that the higher number doesn’t just mean darker. 440 is deep with warm undertones and 445 is deep with warm olive undertones. 430 is deep with warm golden undertones.
