I remember when there was a little house near the crossing, a woman would come out and shut the gates. my memory is she was quite a big girl and was often wearing a loose fitting flowery dress, I remember also a big brick building where deep water Plaza is now. Also the landing strip beside trafalger ? avenue . these are treasured memories for me..

I believe the plan to get rid of the crossing was scrapped. As of 2021, the crossing is still there.

If they haven't removed it yet there not gonna remove it I went to Gosford from gorden last week and the level crossing is still here

well 5 years later and the crossing is still here the project to replace it with a underpass further along the line towards the tunnel was abandoned
