    Hello Erik. I am an 18-year-old completely blind gun enthusiast from California. I just wanted to thank you and say how helpful your gun tips, tricks and reviews have been to me. You actually take the time to describe in words what you're doing and what, to an extent, everything looks like which is helpful because… Well being blind I can't see anything so thank you very much

    Just a couple of guys having fun on a rifle range. Isn't that a huge part of our community? The gun community that is. It's one of those underpinnings that matters to us. Everyone needs to take an anti-gunner out on the range for this kind of fun. Maybe, just maybe we can turn a few of them.

    • @DGinNC
      @DGinNC 7 лет назад +4

      Ben Pritchard totally agree, shooting it's damn fun, it's amazing how far a volley of rounds down wind can change minds, both on the battlefield and at the range.

    • @ApocolypsMeow
      @ApocolypsMeow 7 лет назад +4

      Ben Pritchard it might turn some but I'm sure most would get immediate "PTSD" from shooting an AR

    • @CAepicreviews
      @CAepicreviews 7 лет назад +2

      Well first every one of us needs a lack of restraint on making or buying an SBR and Suppressor...I'd definetly do this though.

    • @ben41281

      Operator, in what way is our community "fucked"? Please clarify.

    • @TheManOWrath
      @TheManOWrath 7 лет назад +1

      Or you can engage in logical debate and destroy their arguments. Taking them to the range happens after they realize they have the liberty to do so. Until they do that, I wouldn't let them touch my guns.

    Forgot to mention, you guys should do a Lee Enfield at 600 yards with iron sights. That would be cool to see. The one I have is Canadian made and is darn accurate on the range and in the field. A true family heirloom of Canadian history!

    • @liamwinter4512
      @liamwinter4512 7 лет назад +2

      TheOutdoorGuy the longest shot I ever made was from a 303 Enfield sinking it into a drum at 1012 yards with iron sights. Took 34 rounds.

    • @campbell0162
      @campbell0162 7 лет назад +1

      Liam Winter Holy shit! I don't think I'm that capable of pulling a shot like that! That's a hell of a distance for the 303

    • @VeraceSzK
      @VeraceSzK 7 лет назад +1

      I mean, the sights go between 300 and 800 yards, so 600 seems very easy to do with the 800 yard setting. Pretty sure I could make that kind of shot with mine.

    I managed to hit a stationary clay pigeon at 600yard with mine...but it’s a carbine with the whole barrel still intact. But I did use the irons and it took about 8 shots to walk it in. Milsurp ammo.

    • @gilat6
      @gilat6 7 лет назад +3

      Well the gun itself it's not expensive but it's got a really high price, the problem is that those many magazines would be very expensive and also the cartridge that it fires (5.7x28) its expensive.
      And most of the P90 is semi-auto (one shot per trigger pull) only! Only a few special government agents have full-auto P90.

      I will watch just about any video that has an M1 Garand shooting in it.
      Correction, I will watch just about any video that has an M1 Garand ejecting the clip in it. Ping!

    I think what's happening is the bullet's going subsonic just before it gets to the plates, so until he starts hitting the plate repeatedly and taking more time to aim, the barrel and powder aren't warm enough that the bullet stays supersonic all the way to the target.

    Powder burn inconsistencies due to the short barrel. Need to go for a faster burning powder with case filler. To bad the contder or encore where never chambered for the 7.62x54r. You would have some good reloading data then for your length of barrel

    Got an idea for some shows (or one long show)... I like the 22 magnum and I like the Kel-tec PMR-30 and CMR-30 (but I own nothing right now). I want to know not only how accurate it is at longer range, but if the bullet maintains its lethality at that range. Maybe say do the plywood test or if possible some ballistic gel at say 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, and 600 yards. Use something like a 40 grain round (hollow point if testing on ballistics gel).
    I also would be interested in see the difference between the 4.3" barrel and the 5" barrel on the PMR and what kind of accuracy and lethality it has at range (maybe 25, 50, 75, 100 yards).
    That brings up another point. Is there much of an accuracy difference between an hollow point and a FMJ? Maybe test that CMR-30 for groupings at 250 yards with each ammo... or maybe zero a scope with one and shoot the other to see if the drop changes at those ranges.
    I'm not a Kel-tec guy, but I have gotten into survival stuff for a hobby. I'm talking things like Bug Out Bags, 72 Hour Bags, Get Home Bags, Mini Survival Kits, First Response Kit, Every Day Carry... For a survival weapon I always thought a CMR-30 with a PMR-30 for backup with 2 loaded magazines each and an extra box of 500 rounds. It should be great for small game and such ,but I have heard you can take down even wild pigs with a good shot pretty easy and these two guns and 620 rounds of ammo only weighs about 10 pounds... or about the same as a typical AR-15 with 3 clips. Plus the CMR-30 collapses down to 22.5" so it should fit in a backpack pretty easy. I know there are a few carbines that use Glock Magazines, soi if you wanted to compare the weights and accuracies and damage of those (like a Glock 19 a Kel-tec SUB2000) and too I would be even more happy, but I think a 22 magnum would work better at the longer ranges than even a hot 9mm. You could also throw in an AR-15 just for comparisons too. Just some ideas of something I think would be cool. Maybe some others would be interested too.

      Kenneth Anderson I’ll have to agree with you. $300 is more the price range. I always add $100 to Guns. I’m from CA and to get the gun in had from seller costs that much

    Awesome video guys! You should see if you could lend that Mosin to The Walking Dead production. It would be cool to see one of their characters using it. That rifle would be a fun apocalypse weapon much like Daryl’s crossbow. 👍🏼
