How to visit Yellowstone in Winter: 14 things to know

Yellowstone in the winter is a completely different experience than in the summer. Only a small part of the park is open to vehicles. To see the rest of the park, you need a snowmobile, or you'll need to book a tour on a snow coach. You will also want to have good gear, dinner reservations, equipment rentals, and more. The thing about winter in Yellowstone is the cost to visit. It's not cheap like in the summertime. The one thing keeping me away from coming to Yellowstone is cost.
