    I got the 16gb for a killer deal on black friday, best decision ever. I play Cyberpunk at 1440p, all settings on ultra or psycho, dlss quality, frame gen, ray tracing, path tracing, super res quality, basically completely maxed... Im also running 268 mods, alot of which are higher resolution textures or lighting and graphics mods that put even more strain on things, and I average 58fps with gpu temps hanging around 57°. I have zero complaints. If i just turn off path tracing I get over 100fps with everything else on and maxed. I also play on controller so that may be why its no biggie to me...
    I 100% believe that this is going to be a sought after card in the future with everything getting more expensive by the day and availability with alot of mid range cards being where it is.

    I have an NVIDIA RTX 4060 TI with 16GB of VRAM, 32GB of RAM, and an AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor. I have to tell you, I have almost all modern games and I don't experience any latency issues. And my motto is: Your money is for you to buy, mine is for me to buy, your GPU is for you to play, whereas mine is for me to play. My budget is not yours, which is why I have a 4060 TI with 16GB. Additionally, I seek power efficiency because we have two gaming PCs at home and I'm the one who pays the electricity bill. I chose this GPU because I like it, and I also like the MSI brand. I bought it new, and as the Dominican gamer saying goes: He who dies for his GPU, death tastes like glory.

      The graphics card is trash. But people who have no idea will think 16GB is better than 12GB like the 4070. They won't understand that it only has a 128-bit bus. Basically, laypeople are being scammed. Even the 3070 with 8GB is better than the 4060ti with 16GB.
      The people who buy something like that are also more likely to buy 32GB of RAM instead of fast 16GB of RAM. I see it so often how laypeople buy ready-made PCs with big specifications without understanding that they don't add any value to the setup. You just have to look at the comments, people don't understand why the 16GB version is much worse than the 4070.

  • @jeofthevirtuoussand
    @jeofthevirtuoussand 4 месяца назад +3

    worst value? yeah but the fact the memory pool is so large dispite it being at a 128 bit bandwith ,means that the 0.01% lows are great and the performances are consistant
    the rtx 4060 should have come with 12gb vram instead of 8 ,
    that being said,
    it(s also the work of the developers to actually use the software features of a gpu, because the only reason 8gb 128 bit buss gpus are problematic is also from the fact that no developer actually coded " sampler feedback streaming "
    in short, sfs drastically reduce the bandwith eaten by the texture streaming ,thus allowing data to go through that bandwith ,meaning that 8gb 128 bit vram wouldn't be an issue anymore whenit comes to raytracing and frame generation + the fact that the 0.01% lows would be more consistant ,like the 4060 ti 16 gb version

    I refuse to pay for the overprice GPU during the Bitcoin era. So, I went hunting for another GPU early this year. Ended up with the 4060 TI used. RTX 4060 TI 16GB is great GPU in the used market. My previous GPU was a new RX 5700 and I paid around 330.00 for it and the used 4060 TI was around the same price.I use it for AI generation and casual gaming. The RX 5700 was able to render 1 image at 5 minutes, while the 4060 TI was able to do in in a minute or less. The 4060 TI consume very little power. However, I did upgrade my PSU to 750W, thinking I would get the 4070 and that did not turn out to be the case.

  • @JamesSmith-sw3nk
    @JamesSmith-sw3nk День назад

    The problem with the 4060ti is there is virtually no performance gain over the 3060ti and the 4070 trounces it most of the time. The 3060ti was a BIG upgrade over the 2060, it had around 2080 Super performance and it was only around 10% behind the 3070. Had the 4060ti had 3080 performance then it would have been a smash hit. Stagnant performance is rarely rewarded in the pc part world.

    I know I'm months late to the thread but I recently got my 4060 Ti 16 GB and it's running a game like Cyberpunk 2077 around the 60 FPS mark and even higher (outside of Dogtown... it's quite demanding) with Balanced DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation at 1080p which is my preferred resolution
    Mind you, I previously had the 3050 8 GB which needlessly to say is trash for games without RT requirements such as Ghost Recon Breakpoint, in this game I struggled having stable performance in Golem Island and after upgrading I felt major boost in frames
    So, with this in mind... I think it's a great choice for those who can't afford the 4070 or higher
    That's my take on the card, it's not terrible in terms of performance but it is in terms of pricing which I agree it could've been cheaper
    Also great video

      You should have bought an AMD 6750XT $320 new or $230 used and saved $100-$220 and get same fps. You also could have spent the $450 on a much, much, more powerful AMD RX 7800XT or the 20% faster $380 RX 7700XT. Why are people way overpaying for this GPU when so many crazy better options exist. It would be silly not to because you dislike the name on the side and it proves my point about wasting a ton of money just for a brand name. The 6750XT is over $100 less and performs exactly the same. the 2080Ti is faster and cheaper if you must have Nvidia. Maybe I misspoke and said reserved instead of actually being used. Either way, it doesn’t matter what is reserved, the performance difference between the 8GB and 16GB models is only seen when the 8GB model exceeds its VRAM. I’m not sure what I don’t understand lol

      My video doesn’t just cover 1080p, I was exploring the gaming capabilities of this card beyond the typical use case in this particular game. If a person is considering 16GB of vram I wouldn’t recommend the 4070 either because it only has 12, otherwise I agree with you on all points. 🤠

      @@PuffinTechYTI only dislike it when people compare prices. We all know that the 4060ti with 16GB is more expensive than the 8GB variant, but in terms of fps, it's the same as the 4060ti. However, in the comments section, some foolish AMD fans start comparing its price to other AMD GPUs. That's why I said that the 16GB isn't meant for gaming purposes. I understand that you did a proper benchmark, and my only problem is with these misunderstood individuals.

      @itachi7976 Right, both 4060Ti's have the same core, it's effectively the same thing for a realistic gaming situation. Probably Nvidia's marketing puts fuel on the fire for AMD fans because you see an RX 6800 next to a 4060Ti and say wtf, but they're really for people who have different use cases like you said.
      Also, despite my clickbait-y title I actually like the 4060Ti 16GB because it’s just a weirdo card and it’s fun to mess around with. I want to make a video about using integer scaling to upscale 720p gameplay with maxed out RT and PT and it’s sort of the perfect card for it.

    The 4060 ti with 16 GB makes no sense, because it is significantly more expensive and has a weaker chip for 2K.
    For 2K, the 4070 Super is now best suited, which already gives 60+ frames and a surprise much more confidently... she has 12 GB, just the right amount.
    You just need to understand that the 4060 ti 8GB is a card strictly for 1080p, but in 1080p it supports ANY game well with any setting up to the tracing of the path.

      Not an uneducated question at all :D 4k with performance DLSS is running at 1080 internal. If you can, you want to use some form of upscaling rather than changing your output resolution to 1080, because yes that will look bad.
      There are other ways to upscale than just DLSS, the Nvidia drivers have a feature called NIS which can do upscaling if you can't use DLSS for whatever reason. I recommend Googling that if you want to give that a shot, it's fairly simple to setup but a little bit hard to explain here in YT comments :)

    I bet Nivida made the graphics card especially for people who want to buy a low-end card and then see that for 100 more they could buy something future-proof, because they've often heard that 8GB VRAM is already quite low. Basically, it's a huge scam.
